Apr 22, 2013I started using a D-link 2750U wireless modem-router about 2 months ago, and configured it using the given disk for my ISP (MTNL Delhi). Since then, it has never retained a connection for more than 10 days, give or take i.e starts showing a red earth light instead of a green one. I usually reset it to factory settings and reconfigure it using the same disc over and over again, but now it has started dropping connection more frequently.Recently, it developed a new disease. Connection is very unstable now. Through line, it keeps disconnecting every 4-5 minutes. re-connects and dies again itself and does not work through wi-fi at allMy hardware quality healthy as I ran a wired connection for over 3 years without any trouble before this one.

I have a network storage unit plugged into router by an ethernet cable. Any of the computers cannot reach that storage unit or ping it. I guess my router isolates LAN network from WLAN network. Is there a way to combine them and get the router treat all devices connected to router in a single network?

Apr 23, 2012I have a situation where I have tenants connecting to my wireless network and paying towards the internet bill. I am able to control this by using MAC filtering, but I have just realised that this only works for wireless clients.
Is there a way to replicate this for the router's Lan ports? Or possibly even just disable Lan access. The router model is a D-link DSL-2750U.

Jul 7, 2013At my office we have a wireless modem(D-Link DSL-2750U) and all the clients are connect to it wirelessly with a wireless lan card. at the next floor we have two pc(without wireless lan card) that I want to connect them to this network, I have a switch and a wireless access point(TP-Link TL-WA701ND). my Question is that how can I connect the WAP to Modem? I set the operation mode of WAP to client and add the MAC address of it in the table of wireless modem but the clients cant connect to the network.

Aug 14, 2011Currently I am hosting a 7 day mountain retreat, for about 90+ people. Clearly they are dependent on the internet teet as am I I am trying very hard to provide internet to our friends, but I just can't seem to figure it out I have a Mobile Broadband Router (MBBR) which limits connected devices to 6, so I figured that if connect a home router with wifi (WIFI) that allows 253 connections problem solved right? So I put a short LAN cable from the LAN port on the MBBR to the WAN port on the WIFI and presto! The WIFI gets a IP address, but does not allow other users of the WIFI to get internet. I've even killed all security on the WIFI and put the WIFIs IP in the DMZ on the MBBR. I noticed the DNS was the same as the gateway on the WIFI, so I changed that to the DNS on the MBBR still nothing.
PS Yes I have a connection on the MBBR I am on it now.Connecting the LAN cable from the MBBRs LAN to the WIFIs LAN extends the range, and grants internet to the WIFI users... but uses the MBBRs DHCP to give IP addresses, which limits to 6.I guess the goal here is bypass the limitation of the MBBR by using the WIFIs DHCP to issue IPs?
Broadband :: Wifi Connection Disconnects Sporadically And Repeatedly?
Apr 16, 2012My computer has developed a habit of spontaneously having no internet connection even though it says the signal is as strong as it can be. When I began to investigate the issue I ran some diagnostics and the Internet IP ping test failed. I have no idea what that means or how to fix it. I did do a ipconfig/all on a c prompt and have the results I can post if anybody wants to see that. Beyond this I can't lend much more except to say that when it happens I can click on the troubleshooting and while it is trying to determine what the problem is (usually takes at most 30 seconds) the issue resolves itself and I can resume doing what I was doing. Last night was the worst it ever has been I had to restart my computer completely but once it had gone through the boot process and was in Windows again it was fine.

I can see the DP-G310 MAC address in the DIR 655 wireless status page but the IP is 0.0.0.0 and it disappears and reappears in the wireless connections list.

Apr 10, 2012I am using a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router(Model WRT54G). I am trying to set up a desktop computer to have a wireless usb adapter running so I can connect to the Wireless-G Broadband Router. When I run the setup CD for the wireless usb adapter it asks me to push the Wi-Fi Protected Setup Button on the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router.
I have looked at the Linksys router found an obscure button on the front with the Cisco Systems Copyright logo on it. I pushed this but the wireless usb adapter failed to locate the wireless network. There is also another button on the back of the Linksys Router that is a Reset button.

I pinged the router and established that the installation engineer had changed the default LAN ip but whenever I try to navigate to this ip address by.
