during the first set up I have set a password as it was requested during the installation routine. After the installation, I added the camera's IP to my browser (tried IE9 and FF). In both cases I was asked to enter the user name and the PW, but I can't access the 930. I'm using the very same PW as I had set up during the routine, but none of the browsers accepts the PW.
View 6 RepliesI have a DCS-930L network camera that I configured from its Web-based interface. In SETUP | Network Setup, I have disabled both UPnP and UPnP Port Forwarding. In my router's (Netgear WNDR3700) settings, I reserved the local IP address, 192.168.1.80, for the DCS-930L. In the DCS-930L I assigned the network camera HTTP Port 8000; therefore, I can access the DCS-930L on the LAN from [url].... In addition, in the router, I have forwarded port 8000 to the local IP address, 192.168.1.80, so I can access the DCS-930L from outside the LAN.I can access the DCS-930L both from within the LAN and outside of the LAN.
However, even though UPnP and UPnP Port Forwarding in the DCS-930L are disabled, the DCS-930L keeps adding and deleting UPnP NAT rules in the router. In addition, a system at the IP address, 207.232.83.172, keeps attempting to access the DCS-930L from different ports. I traced the IP address, 207.232.83.172, to the ISP, Telekenex, in Los Angeles, California. A partial log from the router is below.[code]...
I'd like to have an outside view. Have any of you tried setting up one of these cameras outside? Not fully exposed, say under an eve or carport? Are they sensitive to humidity and/or temperature?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a DCS-930L camera. I was able to set the password (10 characters) and complete the setup. It then said I needed to update the firmware which I did and it successfully completed. I was able to access it through the mydlink web page but when I clicked on the advanced settings, it wouldn't log in. I tried running the setup from the CD but it said "There was a problem saving your settings. Click Next to try again." That never worked. I tried a hard reset, no luck.

Currently, when I change the default password and save the config via the web interface, neither the original password, or the new password work. I am forced to reset the device to the default config to regain access to the device.

Have since traveled overseas and go to Mydlink website, log-in and then it tries to install a java applet that never does install. It shows the security box where it asks me to run and then it shows another security box with a message: java.io.FileNotFoundException:C:usersmynameAppDataLocalLowSunJavaDeploymentsecurity rusted.certs(Access is denied)
I click ok and the java applet never loads. It just keeps saying Installing Java Applet.
I think I did everything per the manual, but I cannot access my camera over the internet thru [URL] website. It says that I have to check if I have enough bandwidth, or checked if my camera is not blocked by my router But I have a Dlink DIR 655 router where I have configured the Virtual server (port 80) as it is explain in the manual I also have a DHCP reservation that works fine (I can access the camera within my network) What should I do more now to finally access my camera from internet (this is for me the interest of havinf a network camera!)
View 14 Replies View RelatedI can access my cameras through the Dlink web site (mydlink), but cannot access all of them through D-View Cam o n my desktop. I do a camera search and it only finds two of them and the third one it doesn't see. I tried to insert it manually and it still doesn't see it. It sees it fine in mydlink.
I've uninstalled the D-View Cam program and re-installed it, with the same results.
With basic "Wizard" setup I got DHCP and port 80 for the camera. It was working just fine with MyDLink and locally with DLink-ViewCam software and some local test web pages. However, we have a wireless printer on that router which also uses port 80, so when it was installed we set up a "port forward" for port 80 traffic to it for administration from other subnets. How MyDLink website is able to tunnel through our hardware firewall and the wireless routers firewall to communicate with the camera is not clear to me (perhaps someone can send me a link to an explanation??), but it works...Thus, to allow access to the camera from other subents, I wanted to change the camera's port from 80 to another, say 8181 and set up the appropriate "port forwarding for TCP and UDP. All of the steps below were from a PC within the camera's subnet/router so port forwarding is not an issue

I can view the video live from mydlink.com.I've tried the dlink software, but it can't find the camera so I can control recording options, ftp, etc. i've also tried 3rd party software that can't find my camera.I'm fairly internet savvy, but do not have access to my router admin atm. (cable company installed their own) My home ip address is supposed to be dynamic. I thought that would cause me problems viewing from mydlink.com, but it hasn't so far.

I just purchased the EA4500 router and went through the setup with no issues. The only problem is I cannot access the router either locally or through the Smart Wifi dashboard. Everytime I go to the page with "Access Router", enter the password and clikc the "Submit" button it does nothing...no incorrect password prompt or idle prompt...almost like the page is broken somehow. I've done all of the usual, restart router, restart PC, restart cable modem, etc. and always having the same result.

I cant seem to connect to the router's configuration page (192.168.1.1) anymore, All the lights on the router are on and I tried to reset it to default settings several times but still it wont connect. I tried it on a laptop but I still cant get it to connect. I can surf the net just fine when using the ADSL modem though. I can ping the IPaddress 192.168.1.100 but can't ping the default gateway which is 192.168.1.1. I also tried switching to another cable just in case but to no avail.

I just acquired an Ipod Touch and am trying to set it up to connect to my exisintin DIR-615 router. It is about one year old, but I have misplaced all the info I had on it, including any password info. Trying to use the blue lit button on the right side of the router does not allow access to the Ipod, nor my daughter's Apple computer.

i have a WD My Book Live and it's connected to my DIR-825. i'd like to configure the router to allow FTP access to the NAS from the internet. the drive has an option to enable FTP in it's configuration, but i have not done this before and i don't know what to do to create a solid/secure FTP portal so that i can access my files remotely.how do i configure the router for this ? my router is set to DHCP and i have turned MAC filtering on.. in particular i am looking for the ability to transfer/copy files from the drive, and not allow any modification/writing to the drive from the outside.

I have 3 - 4 PCS in my office out of which My machine is the main machine and everything is setup on this. so for networking what i have done is i am using a TP link router model TL-WR941D. i had got it configured from an engineer. A cable from my internet modem goes into the blue port of this router(WAN) and my PCs are connected via the LAN port of the router . so everything is working fine right now the local network and internet on all PCS and my laptop also connects through the wifi and is able to access other pcs and also the internet.
To have better signal strength on other floors of the building my engineer had installed 2 access points. They are TP link model Tl-WA901ND. yesterday i updated the firmware of my main router and the settings were some how lost but i managed to set it back to working state using the quick setup utility. so my router and wifi is working fine. But now my access points have stopped sworking . i mean i am not able to get better signal strengths thorugh them. i am assuming theirs ettings /ip etc are lost. now i have no idea how to setup these access points to be used again as part of my wifi network. I looked on the internet but nowhere the thing has been explained in detail. how can i configure my access points/repeaters agaain? i am stuck and engineer is not available for nest few days and my officee internet is suffering.
The wireless is just beyond my computer's ability to detect. I have a D-Link WBR 1310 Router hooked up to a high gain wireless antenna-yes, clear line of sight. I have no direct access to our community modem or ISP.

I then start fresh. i get all the way to choosing wireless and input the password. It states that there is a problem saving your settings. I tells me nothing more. I spent 4 hours on the phone with tech support and i can get it working through wired but I can't put it in my childs room wired. it worked perfectly before the router switch. funny thing is that its the same brand and model router.

I tried unplugging the camera and hitting the reset button on the back-nothing works.
