Jul 1, 2011I just downloaded and tried to apply the latest Firmware update to my dcs-930l. It failed or timed out. Now the camera is unusable. I tried the hard reset, several times, holding it in for 10 seconds after 3 seconds did not work. I held it in for 3 seconds, waited 1 minute, and just got a flashing red light. I did the same thing after holding reset in for 10 seconds. I have unplugged and replugged in the network cable on both ends several times and turned the power off and on on the router and camera several times. The camera only blinks with a red flashing light. Is it a brick now? Is there any other magic tricks to try?

Sep 20, 2011Received a replacement DCS-930L today; using WPS, did setup wirelessly; all OK. Then did firmware update wirelessly (with second, DCS-932L, turned OFF). The v1.03 firmware file was the same one I previously used, I think. Amazingly, The camera menus are now in French, and I can't find a setting to change it to English.

Oct 28, 2012I've not found any topic related to what happened to me. Bought two cameras and upgraded the firmware on both as asked, but one of them just stopped. The light is solid green and not red like other posts.Tried the recovery procedure, but the browser won't find my camera. Changed computer IP and everything else that was told to be done. Nothing works!! I also can't find any posts relaled to my problem all over the internet.

Nov 1, 2012the only way i can get 300mbps from this router is by having these settings, it seems the only valid settings to get 300mbps from the router are the following:
Network Mode: mixed
Channel Width: auto (20mhz or 40mhz)
Channel : 1
if i leave the channel to auto it won't show up as 300.on top of that it doesn't want to stay at 300mbps for very long, sometimes its max rate in inSSDer is only 144 or 156mbps. its the weirdest thing, i think this version of the firmware seems to forget to check for how fast its wireless transmit speed is.When it reboots it only transmits at 144 or 156mbps. i have to go in the basic wireless page and just save the settings to reset it to 300, i don't even have to change anything, it resets its max rated speed back up to 300mbps.and more importantly, are the devs aware of this problem for the e1200 v2 ?

I recently purchased another unit that has WAP610N Firmware Versions 1.0.01 and and can only access an IP address if I do not use any security. May 7, 2012Just a few things I've noticed with this build..
1.) If you reboot the modem, it seems to loose UPnP settings. I have to turn UPnP off then back on again in order UPnP to work normally.
2.) Probably petty but when I click the Disconnect button under Router Status, the page doesn't automatically refresh like it did with E4200v1. I have to manually refresh to get the connect button to appear. The refresh issue is also true within the mobile app. Again, not an issue with E4200v1.

Jul 28, 2012I own the linksys wrt160n v2...It has latest firmware 2.03 build 9...After installing this firmware i have noticed the internet speeds have reduced,the router requires frequent reboots to make it stable..
i used to have firmware version 2.02 build 15...It was stable unlike the current firmware...i cant find the old firmware anywhere...how do i revert back to old firmware?

I have a bit experience making website, but we prefer to use web templates / packages for that also we would be able to add comments( built-in Code, no external links for those codes be needed). Question is: in the Administration GUI, is there a way to set it up so it displays PC-Name instead of MAC address in sections such as MAC Filter, Statistics, Logs etc?
Every time I check stuff I need to compare MAC address with PC name in order to find out who's who; so it would be nice to see directly PC Name.

I then start fresh. i get all the way to choosing wireless and input the password. It states that there is a problem saving your settings. I tells me nothing more. May 6, 2011I downloaded the MAC setup Utility(BETA) and it can't find the camera.The camera is connected via Ethernet-Light on the front under the lens is green (blinks sometimes)First thing I noticed wrong was the setup utility asks if the light on the side of the camera is lit green-there's no light on the side of the camera as far as I can tell. Jul 5, 2011I bought and hooked up my DCS-930L camera last week. Have since traveled overseas and go to Mydlink website, log-in and then it tries to install a java applet that never does install. It shows the security box where it asks me to run and then it shows another security box with a message: java.io.FileNotFoundException:C:usersmynameAppDataLocalLowSunJavaDeploymentsecurity rusted.certs(Access is denied)
I click ok and the java applet never loads. It just keeps saying Installing Java Applet.

Mar 10, 2012I have a DCS-930 running successfully on my home network. Now I want to set up a DCS-932 on a different network at my mother's house in another city, so I can monitor her house from a distance. Questions:
1. After installing, will I be able to see both cameras at mydlink.com if they are on different networks?
2. Is installation any different because there are 2 networks?
3. Can I use the existing install wizard on the laptop that I used with the 1st installation or should I use my mother's PC?
4. How do I get started since the first instruction is to insert and use the CD that came with the new camera?
Basically I want to know what the install procedure is if I am using a different network but the same laptop I used with the 1st one. The laptop has a wireless connection to both networks.

It says that I have to check if I have enough bandwidth, or checked if my camera is not blocked by my router But I have a Dlink DIR 655 router where I have configured the Virtual server (port 80) as it is explain in the manual I also have a DHCP reservation that works fine (I can access the camera within my network) What should I do more now to finally access my camera from internet (this is for me the interest of havinf a network camera!)

Feb 1, 2011My DSC-930L's web interface becomes unresponsive about an hour or two after power cycling my camera. It still responds to pings, and it still sends images to FTP when it detects motion, but I can't log into it via web interface, mydlink, or the iphone app. Power cycling the camera fixes the problem for an hour or so but then its right back to not working again.
