D-Link DIR-601 :: Smartphone Connection To Wireless Network
Feb 3, 2012
my wife and I both have samsung galaxy s2 smartphones that for the last 2 months since purchased worked fine when connected to the d-link network-suddenly,yesterday both phones disconnected and when we tried to connect and entered the WEP key that worked fine previously, neither would connect-I powered both phones off and on as suggested by ATT,but that did not work.
just bought a Wifi DSL Router Lynksys WAG120N and managed to connect all e-gadgets on Wifi the PS3, the Pc and my Laptop, which are all communicating even through shared drives and Mediaserver. Every time that I am trying to connect with my Sony Arc the Wifi for all connected clients is lost and the internet connection stops
I recently purchased a Samsung Smartphone which works great but will not connect to my secure wireless network. I have an older D-Link DIR-625 rev a draft N router with other devices connected to it. I am using Network Magic software which makes adding new devices simple. When I turn on the phone's Wi-Fi setting, it scans for local networks, and recoginizes mine. I add the correct passphrase but the phone will not connect. I am using MAC filtering on my network so I went on to the admin page and added the phone's mac id. Still no connection. This smartphone is not very smart.

To access USB Storage in Windows I simply type "\tplinklogin.net" in Run window. But how can I access it using Adnroid phone or tablet connected by Wi-Fi?Typing "\tplinklogin.net" in Browser adress line brings me to Google search, typing simply "tplinklogin.net" opens router web interface..
My friend had a wireless network in his house, laptops can connect to it easily. For some reason, smartphones and itouch units can not connect. When the network password is input, the symbol that shows it is connecting continues to spin as if it is trying but it never does. Is this some kind of security issue or setting?
I recently purchased a WRT120n router to set up wifi in my house. I had installed the software and had the Wifi up and running. However, I am unable to connect to my wifi connection thru my cell phones. It does not connect to any of the smart-phones we have at home (Nexus S, iPhone 3G, )
The wifi connection is working on the laptops (Mac and Windows). Just not connecting to the phones.
I have battling this issue since I bought this router, at least 2 years.

Not sure what other router info you need. All are connected to the internet, but can't see each other on the LAN. We can see each other from time to time. Sharing is allowed. Passwords are shared. I can power off the router and the network will be fine for about a day, then gone again. Workgroups are the same.
We have a D-Link DI-524 wireless router that has had no problems until today. Our laptops (with Windows XP), iPods, and iPhones all show that there is an excellent wireless network connection (as usual), but none of the computers or devices will connect to the Internet. I tried resetting, rebooting, and unplugging the modem and router. The router and modem seem to be fine. When we disconnect the router and plug the laptop directly into modem, we have Internet connection (i.e., it's not the IP).

I am trying to set up a VPN access to the office Windows network by setting the pptp options in the WAN area of the networks settings.
I have entered the public IP address of the office network and also the username and password required by the system. When clicking on the connect button the router attempts to connect but then returns a "disconnected" message.

how to setup an adhoc network using TPLINK WR740N without using any internet connection?I want to setup a WLAN connection between my Desktop and 2 other Laptops for file transfer and sharing.... how to search and connect to other available wifi networks using my router?
My laptop works fine on my network for 80% of the time but the rest of the time I get yellow triangle and the system says limited access. The annoying bit is that when this happens my smartphone is still connected to my wifi network and works perfectly so I can only assume there is a fault on the laptop. I take out the network adapter plug then plug it in and the laptop usually reconnects but sometimes it can take about half an hour!
My laptop is an acer aspire6935 and the operating system is windowsvista home premium. The wireless router is connected to a desktop via a yellow data cable.
I have a DIR-825 (hardware rev B1, v2.06 firmware) with 2 guest networks active (one on each frequency). I recently attached a laptop to the network using the computer's PCI NIC, with the wireless card completely turned off. Much to my surprise, Windows (7 Pro) indicated that I was connected to the 2.4GHz guest network. The only place in the router's configuration where the indicated name appears is in the "Guest zone" configuration page, where it asks for an SSID to use for the "wireless guest zone". Not only that, but it was the only connection that I could get for the computer, unless I turned the wireless card back on. That's also interesting because no other computer on the network, connected via cable, displays any "named" connection when viewing the networking properties. They simply show "Network" as their connection.
ok when i'm playing my xbox 360 my brothers sister and my dad are on computers playing games and watching netflix and i lagg alot is there any way i can get my own network connection my internet provider is century link.
I have just purchased a DCS 2121 (I assume that it is a similar model to the DCS 920 in US).I have this setup:
- Connected the DCS 2121 wireless to my Belkin Router with a fixed IP address. Firmware version 1.4 is installed on the camera.
- I have a Synology 209 NAS server with surveillance station that I have connected to the Camera.
I all works fine for 5 minutes to a couple of hours at which point the DCS 2121 loose connection to the Router and does not try to reconnect. If I turn the Cam on and off it will reconnect - and then loose connection again af a short time. This is totally frustrating since the purpose of the Cam is to work as a surveillance cam - it kinda loose its value by not being connected...
Setup and Hardware D-link DSL-502T Belkin N Wireless Router (No wired connections) Computers on wireless Connections
No.1 Connected to the Belkin & Internet working
No.2 Connected to the belkin & Internet NOT working Tenda W322P Wireless PCI adapter installed OS - XP SP2
When I attempt to connect to the internet on computer No.2 it will not connect.
1. Belkin setup page shows both computers in the DHCP client list 2. Tenda shows connection to the personal network 3. No internet connection icons in the tool bar. There is an internet connection icon on computer No.1 showing two computers and a bubble. 4. No icons in 'Network Connections' 5. In 'My Network Places' there is a Belkin Icon but when properties is clicked it says "This item is not currently on your network".I may have accidentally deleted icons from network connections or some of the associated folders.
After I change my router, I recently found out that I cannot access remote network resources after VPN tunnel is established. I use CISCO System VPN client. I can see the connection is successful. I cannot ping server on the remote network
I have had my DIR 615 router for about 6 months, and have had no problems. I have a notebook (Sony Vaio) and I also have a Blue-Ray Player and my DirecTV DVR connected by ethernet. Starting a few days ago I was having connectivity issues. At first I could see the network on my Vaio, but the Internet kept coming and going.I did some troubleshooting on the adapter and that seemed to work. Now I am having an issue where every 2 hours or so the wireless drops and the network disappears from the list of available connections on my notebook. I have had my netbook on (connected wireless) and the issues are replicated on that system.
Both of my wired devices do not see any interruption in connectivity. Living in an apartment complex I suspected interference and indeed there are a ton of other networks in range (as per inSSIDer 2.0). As there is no channel that is clearly open, I have set my router to auto channel scan. I also have tried some of the steps outlined in other threads. The thing I am noticing is that when the network connection drops my network (which has a unique name) doesn't even show up on inSSIDer, it just disappears. When working, my network is consistantly in the -25 range on inSIDDer.I should point out also that my notebook is a mere 8 feet from the router, and there are no obstructions.
I just bought a "DLink Xtreme N Gigabit Router DIR-655" I configured it correctly. It works well for the wireless connection but my Lan connection (wired connection) does not work. The Lan computer connects to the router but cannot access the internet. All of my machines work OK with a Netgear G router, including the Lan computer.
I have an Acer 7750G, running Windows 7,connected to our home network using a Dynex router. At the moment this is the only laptop in the house that is having problems with connectivity. Starting yesterday, it only connects intermittently. When I run diagnostics, it says the following problems have been fixed but it either solves the problem for a few minutes only or not at all: "Problem with wireless adapter or access point" or "Default gateway is not available".
IPV6 connectivity also shows 'no internet access' and sometimes IPV4 reports no internet. I've unplugged and rebooted the modem and router a few times but that hasn't solved the problem.
Edit: I ran troubleshoot again, and it says the following issue is not fixed: "Wireless Network Connection 2 does not have a valid IP configuration".
My internet has never had many issues, but since 2 days ago it has been frequently dropping the connection every so often (maybe every 10-30 minutes). The speed jumps all over the place, reaching as high as 2mb/s and then dumping down to 0.14 kbps while going up and down. I am not sure what the issue is. I am running wirelessly on my desktop using a D-Link DWA-130 adapter.
When I attempt to connect my cell phone, my home Wi-Fi network is disabled, secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK. I printed the router's Device Information sheet and have the WEP and WPS numbers. The password and WPS pin numbers I put in do not work. Is there any way to either recover whatever numbers I need or start from scratch and re-install the router?
It seems to happen only when connected through our rooms or through wireless. When I connect directly to the router I don't lose connection. The router is downstairs and it routes the wired connection through a switch. So when routing through the switch or using wireless the connection is lost and re-connects about every 30 seconds to 1 minute. When directly connected it works fine. I've reset the router and reset all settings twice and nothing. I'm using 10/100. Not sure if any of this matters. I have also updated the firmware to 1.35NA. PPPOE password and username are correct as they have been given by our ISP. Any settings I should be aware of? Everything is pretty much default. All I do is setup the internet connection and then setup a wireless connection. Are we overloading the system maybe? I've also changed the password a few times as well. Seems like the logs fill up really fast. Keep getting blocked UDP and TCP packets from different addresses.
After my previous wireless modem was spoilt, I got myself a new wireless modem -Previous Modem: Linksys Wireless-G WAG200G New Modem: Linksys Wireless-N WAG120N
my desktop (having the [TP-LINK TL WN-727N] USB dongle) couldn't connect at all; not till I go to the Wireless Network Properties and checked [Connect even when the network is not broadcasting its name (SSID)] in the [Connection] tab, and even then the connection is unstable, it changes from [first attached image] to [second attached image] and back constantly and shows [third attached image] at the taskbar.
To start off, the wireless router we have is a D-LINK 615 Wireless N 300 Router. We've had this router for a couple of months now and only recently has it been giving us grief. When we first got it (it was actually a friend's who had lent it to me but have been using ever since), it was working like a charm. No dropped connections, etc. However, as of a few weeks ago, we've began to notice that the connection has been dropping constantly. It started one a day around the same time (in the evening) and ever since has happened multiple times per day.The connection will either drop all together (lights still going on flashing) or there will be a limited connection (as stated in Windows) and I can't do anything. This happens for my laptop as well as my PS3. My desktop is hard-wired so there's never a connection issue there. Power cycling the router usually fixes the issue but again, this is constant and keeps disconnecting for some reason and having to power cycle every day is annoying. All the lights are always flashing like normal but the connection just drops off.
Having some issues with my wireless connection which only seem to occur after 12-1AM, my signal according to windows 7 seems be lowered which results in anywhere from 2-10 seconds stall in service, sometimes even disconnecting me all together.
I get no issues during the day of any sort where i have 4+ other devices constantly using the router but I'm the only person in the house that uses the internet this late in the night so I'm completely stumped on what the problem could be.
Using the Dir-655 router with B1revision with 2.0 firmware, connected with an older wireless G adapter.
I have two separate wired networks. Network 1 has a wireless router (an adsl modem). Router of the Network 2 is not wireless. Can I replace router of network 2 with DIR-600 to make a wireless connection between these two network segments ?
I have a wired connection to the router and typically all works fine. I have several Ipods and laptops accessing the router wirelessly with no real problems. As soon as I start playing America's Army (2.8.5) on my desktop (wired) my wireless connections all drop and the kids start yelling to turn the internet back on. When I exit the game all goes back to normal...
My DIR-601 router with 1.02NA firmware When the wireless is activated and not in use by any device (as shown in the wireless status) I experience major and gradual slowdown of my DL/UL speeds and ping. When I deactivate wireless the problem is solved even though no device was using the wireless at the time of the slowdown. I've tried resetting, reverting to factory defaults, updating the firmware(was already up to date), unplugging the router for a considerable amount of time (2hours+). Even though it's not quite related I've tried connecting directly to the modem just for thoroughness' sake.
Just got the DIR-655 and was wandering how to prioritize the wireless connections, that way my future mother-in-law across the street will be last. I can get the Static IP for a computer, but when I go into the router settings for QoS, I don't understand what info goes in there.
