There is a page in the DIR-825 that logs your computers IP and the other IPs it is connecting to. I was wondering if there was a way to disable that function on select devices? My handhelds and legitimate computers that should be on the internet are filling it with spam and it is hard to check for unauthorized users on the network. If that is not possible, then would I be able to completely disable the feature?
View 1 RepliesBasically, my issue stems from the latest Boxee firmware from 2 weeks ago, that since then, its been causing my DIR 655 to reset itself, thereby disabling my whole home internet. It eventually turns back on again after a while, but the process doesn't stop.Basically, my DIR 655 is connected, hard wired to my boxee. I also have a NAS 323 hard wired to my router. I've had this setup on my boxee, reading all my movies/shows from my NAS without any issues for the past 10 months. Then the firmware from 2 weeks ago on the boxee started to cause my router to reset. I thought it was a hardware router failure, so I bought another of the same model to try that out, same thing happened though. When I rolled back my boxee firmware to the previous version, it no longer causes my router to reset.Now, besides me trying to figure out how to correctly block the boxee from updating on the router. Is there anything I can do on the router to tell it to prevent it from letting the boxee forcing it to reset? I'm on High Speed DSL. My internet provider modem is acting as a bridge to my DIR 655. Its been working fine for the past 10 months.
I've also done the following:Ensure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual? You can find thse under Status/Device Info/Wan section. Turned off ALL QoS Turned off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.Turned on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on my router.Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.I have Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP..
Basically, I've put my boxee back to my previous firmware, and this doesn't cause my router to reset and disable my internet. But I don't get how/why a firmware update can trigger my router to do this?
I am having a recurring problem with tcp sessions timing out / getting reset. I'm using the DIR-655 with PPPoE on a Qwest DSL line. Everything appears to be working fine (including my ipv6 tunnel) except for this issue where my long running ssh & database connections are being reset after a period of time.Currently have 2.03NA loaded, tried using 2.07NA but couldn't get ipv6 working correctly with the newer version.

Is it possible to disable broadcasting that the WDR4300 is made by TP-Link? I want to continue to broadcast the SSID but not the manufacturer. I have looked in the various menu pages and cannot figure out how to have this happen.
My old modem from Roadrunner (Time Warner) died and the service man replaced it with a Arris TG852 modem/router. then my problems began. I would like to have the Arris modem act like a modem and not a router. The network governed by the DIR works fine but none of the clients can connect to the internet. Below are the steps I have tried.in both steps below, The DIR is connected to the Arris using the Ethernet not the Wan port.
1. I tried disabling DHCP on the Arris router and setting a static IP address for the DIR router. This worked for a bit and then quit. Some of the computers said there were duplicate IP addresses on the network. If fact the same IP address showed up in the DNS list of the Arris and the DIR routers.. even though the Arris router had DNS disabled.
2. After reading other forums. I enabled DHCP on the Arris and set it to passout IP address between 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.99. I then setup the DOR to pass out addresses between 192.168.0.100 and 192.168.0.200. then moved the DIR into the DMZ of the Arris. Still no access to the internet.
I'm encountering what I think is an issue on logging system on FW ASA 5520 - Asa Version 8.4(2), ASDM version 6.4(5). When I disabled the logging inside a rule from ASDM, or from console with the "log disable" option inside ACL, If I check in ASDM logging real time window I continue to see all the entry related to disabled rules. This is a correct behaviour about ASA logging ? How I can "hide" the entry related to disabled rules (this is what I need for troubleshooting purposes) ?

Everything was working fine as always - then while I was in my Network and Sharing Center, and clicked on my ethernet connection, 'Local Area Connection 3', I accidentally disabled it. No big deal I thought, so I re-enabled the connection. Except for some reason, my connection is all screwed up now. The name of this connection was and always has been 'dkm2' and now it just says 'Network', with no internet access. I have unplugged the cord and plugged it into this laptop and it immediately recognizes 'dkm2' and connects flawlessly, so I know the problem is on the desktop computer's end, and not the cable or router. Only difference besides IP address on my end is a DSL modem at the office (firewall disabled) vs a cable modem at home. My provider tells me the problem is on my end. View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to configure my connectivity settings on my E6500. I enter 192.168.1.1 and the logon screen comes up. I have tried logging in with my user name and password and also disconnecting the internet and logging in the router password. After I log in, 98% of the time it says Router Not Found You are not connected to your router. It is funny that it is telling me this since this webpage is provided from the router since i have unplugged the internet. Even with the internet on, it does the same thing.
The times it does load the homepage of the router, I click on connectivity and when it does come up, the page is just blank with Ok, Cancel, and Apply buttons.I have done a reset on the router and reconfigured it with the CD and tried all the above again and same results.
I don't remember this being a problem when i first setup the router, it appears that a new firmware was automatically installed. I do not see any info on this being a known issue with the latest firmware.

The device cannot have any possibility of connecting to the internet, and also cannot have a webcam. I may be able to find one without a webcam, but I think the possibility of finding one without a NIC wouldn't be easy, if at all possible.
I can only think that disabling the network adapter in registry edit will be something she won't be able to undo (she's not majorly tech savvy).
I've not purchased the laptop/netbook yet, but I would like to know if it's possible and/or how to do it before I buy it.
the customer has a problem with LMS 3.2. This software doesn't terminate ssh sessions created by LMS on ACE. All ssh sessions still exist on ACE, so no new ssh session can be created until the administrator manually clear these session on ACE.

When I'm performing extended ping tests using a tclsh script i'm geting this error message:

% Authorization failed.
When i'm pinging 12 diffrent destinations this happens to about 3 of them.
Checking the logs I found this:

In my entire backbone this is happening only in this equipment, I've checked the connection between my ASR and the TACACS and it's OK, no packet loss. CPU and MEM are OK too.

Router is running with IOS 12.4(24T) and we are having problems like file download stalls, some emails not being send or received. CBAC is enabled on this router with default values. MTU is also the default value. This problem has started all of a sudden. seeing lot of errors in the logs as below:

Under access policies, I am not enforcing max concurrent sessions per user, due to some of our devices using a generic log in. But if I understand the explanation, and my understanding might be wrong, then setting an expiry timeout should purge the accounting sessions, right?
