Cisco WAN :: IOS 12.4(24T) / Sessions Getting Dropped In Router?

Router is running with IOS 12.4(24T) and we are having problems like file download stalls, some emails not being send or received. CBAC is enabled on this router with default values. MTU is also the default value. This problem has started all of a sudden. seeing lot of errors in the logs as below:

I have a server that I am using as a CCTV system. On the E3200, I have port forwarding setup so that it will forward port 3500 in to port 80 on my server. So from the internet, I can point my browser to my home IP address on port 3500 and see the images capture on the server.What I am finding is that from inside the network, I can connect to the cctv server all day long. When I try to connect to it from the internet using the external IP address on port 3500, the Linksys E3200 is dropping my inbound connection and it seems like it is blacklisting my IP address for several minutes. I can have a continuous ping going. As soon as I try to access the cctv webpage, my session drops, the pings start failing, and it remains that way for a short time.I thought that the router might be resetting itself, so I started a continous ping from two totally separate computers to my router, and from one of those computers I try to access the cctv server through the port forwarding, and the computer I tried it from one drop and its pings would start failing, at the same time the other computer was still able to continously ping my router.

New E900 router drops PPPoE session and gets new IP address randomly every 1-20 hours. Tried different E900, does the same thing. Disabled IPv6, no change. Upgraded FW from 1.0.00 to 1.0.01, no change. I have an SPA112 ATA behind the router and it has to re-register with the VoIP provider every time the IP address changes, so I'm afraid of my call getting dropped if this occurs while I'm on the phone. Using an old WRT54G or a different brand of router it will keep the same PPPoE session for weeks, so it is not the ISP.

I have 7200 Router some flows are not forwarded and when i check ""show ip cache flow"" output i found the destination interface is going to Null i checked the access-list it permits these flows.

we got a Sonicwall router and we have been having stability issues. Every 1 minute the TCP connectio is dropped as well as UDP packets. This router is connected to a T1 connection and its requesting a DHCP lease every couple minutes as well. We originally had two WAN connections, and we have disabled the second one because someone thought it was that, but obviously it has to do with the internal network. This is a dual WAN router.

ISP - Comcast Cable Internet Modem model SMCD3GNV wired/wireless combo (2 pcs connected 1 wired 1 wireless)When the connection is online, the speeds are fine- the issue is the 2-3 times a day when the connection drops off. The error that we are getting is "cannot connect with primary dns server" however in our attempts to restore the connection we have: [code] is there some issues in the area that we are not aware of? being that the signal levels are within range what do you think the problem resides in? FYI, both connections, the wired and wireless connections both have connectivity issues equally.

I have a WRT110 router (firmware v. 1.0.04) and a PC and an XBox 360 connected to it (both via cable). Every 15-20 minutes the connection is dropped for appr. 1-2 minutes. I tried modifying several router settings, but the connections are still being dropped

I have a WRT400N and approximately every 30-45 minutes the router will drop all connections (wired and wireless), all the lights will go out and then power light (far right light) will flash for a minute or so. I have tried connecting directly to my modem and I have no problems at all.

I've had this WRT300N for several years and it has worked very well.It suddenly dropped all wireless connections and no one can re-connect. My main pc is hard wired directly to the router and works perfectly as always. 3 wireless pc's and 3 handheld devices suddenly can't connect. I've powered down my modem and router for several minutes, but nothing changed. The firmware was upgraded a long time ago and there are no other upgrades available.

Bought an E4200 to replace my Netwgear router and am experiencing the following problem.One of my wireless boxes serves as mu mail server. I've been running this configuration for years so the only thing that has changed is the router.The neworkd is up and all wireless clients can connect, but after some time, access to the mail server just 'freezes'. I say freezes as the nework icon (i'm using ubuntu' still show a connection. In addtion, there are not error in any of the logs. I just seems that the mail server and the router just stopped communication.

I am having trouble with a DAP-1522 in AP mode dropping IPv6 packets. It is running in AP mode to supply connectivity to a number of laptops + a 2nd DAP-1522 in bridge mode. The laptops are able to get IPv6 router advertisements from the same wired network the DAP-1522 is plugged into, but they get nothing when connection to the wireless. Tcpdump sees no router adv's coming over the wireless interfaces when sniffing.This appears to be something others have hit as well url...

I recently purchased a linksys E2500 for my home network. Occassionally, we have dropped connections, on both G and N cards.The router is connected to a corei3-2100 cpu with 6 gb ram and a 1tb hd, running win7 64bit. Ive bought home plugs for my wife's computer(in the house)and.an outdoor wireless antenna (a CCRANE super usb wifi antenna) for my computer in the garage. I still get dropped signals in the garage, which is only about 50 ft from the router. My computer in the garage is an AMD dualcore 4400 with 4 gb ram, and multiple hdds.What else can I do to get a better and more constant connection.

I just installed a E4200, and found that once I connected my Homeplug Powerline to E4200, the connected (wired / wireless) computer (with E4200) connection will be dropped. The connection become normal again once I disconnected the Homeplug with E4200.

I've been fighting with my E2500 since I got it back in June with lag, dropped connections, etc. It's a bit intermittent but can hang around for hours at a time when it kicks in. Restarts but the issue always comes back. Most noticeable while gaming online or on a VOIP program such as Team Speak. Generally when it happens If I'm monitoring my Team Speak connection the incoming packet loss shoots up between 20-30%, starting to drop out every other word or so. No out going packet loss. The connection drops are random between computers (I have one mac and one pc in the house) where one will be fine and the other wont, or when the whole system will stay connected and drop all transfer. In the case of this last one it's not my ISP's connection as any streaming happening between one computer and an Apple TV device will also cease. I've also swapped back to my old router (an older model linksys) and all problems have stopped. Fully rebooted and reconfigured the router about 3 or 4 times and am on the latest version of firmware (1.0.003). It was much worse on 1.0.002 but still very noticeable on 003. Also no difference with a different wireless adapter. I've tried the chat technical support but all they did was take 45 minutes to tell me how to reboot my router after telling them I already had.

I've had this router for about 3 weeks. It's only 20 feet from the computer, but my computer on 2 or 3 separate days had trouble staying connected. The signal dropped to 5 Mbps and had a little yellow symbol that said no internet access and when I looked at the properties it said, "limited or no connectivity." I got impatient and purchased a 75 ft Ethernet cable online with plans to possibly return the router as I don't really need wireless anyways and since I spent $100 on this router I expect it to work at 20 ft distance.
For the last few days it has remained at 54 Mbps or more sometimes all the way up to 108 mbps. But now since it got pretty low a few times I don't trust it enough so I might return it anyways.IPv6 connectivity says no network access. This might be because when it asked for administrator password to recognize it as a trusted home network I closed it instead of putting in the password.

I got several issues with the E4200.First of all, my connection speed dropped from 2megs/sec to 100k/sec with that router. Flashing it with the lastest firmware worked but still, I don't get all my speed as I has with my WPG54GS (with DD-WRT).Second, speed is really unstable, like if it was working by burst of data.Third, I got a gigabit port on my computer, plugged in the router and still, I can't make more than 10megs/sec WIRED (!) between my computers. I desactivate the ipv6 from my network card but still, no luck.

I've recently subscribed to a 100Mbps fibre broadband service with the bundled Huawei EchoLife HG8240 ONT modem and speed-tested it with an achievable speed of almost 100Mbps (uplink and downlink) on my desktop PC.However, when I connect my new Cisco Linksys E1200 Wireless-N Router to it, I noticed the speed dropped by almost half (about 50Mbps both ways) when I conduct a similar speedtest .
note that I'm using wired cable and there's only 1 single PC connected to it and it is not shared. This includes upgrading the firmware to the latest version, disabling the IPV6 setting and configuring QOS.My current hardware/ firmware version is as follows:

Just got an E2500 and installed it with no problems and it was working correctly for 1-2 days. This evening the signal strength of my SSID dropped to LOW and a new SSID now shows up with full signal strength. It s not an SSID from any of my neighbors and from checking several forums it appears this is known problem.

What is the maximum allowed number of BGP sessions on Cisco platforms sup720 BXL and 7200 G2? Particulaty what are these numbers if BGP sessions are under MPLS vrf (i.e. maximum number of BGP session per vrf?).

the customer has a problem with LMS 3.2. This software doesn't terminate ssh sessions created by LMS on ACE. All ssh sessions still exist on ACE, so no new ssh session can be created until the administrator manually clear these session on ACE.

I've got a problem with an ASR1004 running "asr1000rp2-adventerprisek9.03.02.00.S.151-1.S.bin".
When I'm performing extended ping tests using a tclsh script i'm geting this error message:
ASR_X1A2#ping 172.27.1.250
% Authorization failed.
When i'm pinging 12 diffrent destinations this happens to about 3 of them.
Checking the logs I found this:
Apr 24 19:42:56.071: %SSH-4-SSH2_UNEXPECTED_MSG: Unexpected message type has arrived. Terminating the connection
In my entire backbone this is happening only in this equipment, I've checked the connection between my ASR and the TACACS and it's OK, no packet loss. CPU and MEM are OK too.

Earlier we had same problem with LMS 3.2
(RME-Admin-Config Management- Fetch Interval) from 180s 420s.
Now after LMS upgrade ( 4.2.2 ) the SSH sessions are stucked on ACE. We had not experienced it with 4.2.1

We are using ACS 5.1 in our network. We have created users and grouped them as per the requirements. We want to restrict the user sessions in the network. A user should authenticate and able to access a network resource. But when he is active with that session, we need to block him from another successful authentication. We want to avoid multiple users using same user credentials for logging into the devices. whether this can be achieved by making configuration changes in ACS.

I have the default license for a ASA 5505 and this last Friday I received the attached log for SSH sessions through this firewall; we want to be clear about this issue. This limitation has to be with the 10 Inside Host or the Total VPN Peers limitations in this license? This firewall exists only to agree with a PCI requirement between our router and a communication with a Payment Card Industry Brand, all of this in the same site.

I've looked at the forum posts and the document post, and I understand the explanations. My question is, under system administration>max user session global settings, would setting a timeout (say 1 hour) purge these sessions?
Under access policies, I am not enforcing max concurrent sessions per user, due to some of our devices using a generic log in. But if I understand the explanation, and my understanding might be wrong, then setting an expiry timeout should purge the accounting sessions, right?
