Nov 3, 2011I previously put this is the 'Video over IP' discussions group, which is not getting any response.I have a 6509 and need to configure QoS on gig line cards that have 1P3Q8T queue structure. I've already got the mls qos configured, and have the correct class maps built for Voice, Video, and Signalling.(I'm not doing autoqos). I have only four classes; voice, video, signalling, and default (best effort).I need to configure the commands on the individual gig ports for the appropriate bandwidths as shown below:
1. 300 VoIP G711 calls x 100kbs/call = 30mbs of priority queue DSCP = EF (46) CoS = 5
2. 150 Video conference calls x 1.5mbs/call = 225mbs DSCP = CS4 (32) CoS = 4
3. 450 Signalling x 13kps/call = 5.8mbs (round to 6mbs) DSCP = CS3 (24) CoS = 3
4. Default class is not marked DSCP & CoS = 0

Oct 9, 2012in LMS3.2.1 we have NMSRoot/log/syslog.log where syslogs are being logged actively from managed devices. i couldn't find the same in LMS4.2. I am configuring LMS4.2 from scratch and in the hope of making the trasition from old LMS3.2.1 to LMS 4.2, I am planning assigning the old LMSs IP to the new one. basically changing the IP address of LMS4.2.

Nov 12, 2012We have two Cisco 3560E layer 3 switches at the core of our network. The switches are configured as an HSRP pair and the clients on our network point to the HSRP address as their default gateway. So if CORE-A dies, then CORE-B will pick up the address and the default route for the clients will continue to be available.We also need to specify a few static routes on the core switch to allow us to get to specific networks. Is there a way to do this so that the routes failover in the same way that the default gateway does?

My problem is that after some days (e.g. 15-20 days), the routing table suddenly stops updating & then I have to enter the default route again to make it up. I am using Track 1 to track default route here. After primary link goes down, the Track is also going down but after coming the primary link up, the track is not coming up. So, I have to add the default route again to make it up.

Nov 14, 2012We have small which I'm looking to implement and have built this on GNS3.
We have:
Router A in site 1
Router B in site 2
Router C in site 3
Router A and B are connection via a point to point 100M link and from Router C we have a 2 point to point one of which is 5Mpbs and going to Router A and Router B.
For Router C to reach Router A network it will go via Router B and these are 100M connection. When the link between Router A and B goes down. Router C should update and start using the 5m route.
For some reson, the routes are not updating. I have to do 'clea ip eigrp ne' for the routes to update and if I reload the routers all works well, it seems the problem is intermittent.
Cisco Switching/Routing :: Filter A Specific Host(s) From OSPF Routing Table On A ASA 5550 (ABR)?
May 22, 2013I am attempting to filter a specific host(s) from my OSPF routiing table on a ASA 5550 (ABR) using LSA prefix lists. However, when I look at the other routers in that area, I notice that ALL LSA type-3's are being removed (10 hosts are now missing from the routing table). I have verified the filter is working on the ABR, but I can't figure why ALL hosts/routes that were coming into the area are now being filtered instead of the specific one that I want to filter out.
Here is the config on the ABR:

Understanding NAT Table And Its Chains (pre-routing / Post-routing And Output)?
May 28, 2011I'm learning about iptables, but I don't fully understand the chains of NAT table (prerouting, postrouting and output).I'm specially in doubt about prerouting and postrouting. As far as I know, DNAT can be made with prerouting and SNAT can be made with postrouting, so I think prerouting is for input and postrouting is for output, but the material I'm reading (and another sources) are not clear.

Feb 4, 2013We have a BGP / OSPF configuration as shown in the topology picture. When the connection towards Internet is taken down, we expect the traffic to be forwarded toward WAN 2 (preferred) or WAN 1. The problem is that the BGP learned routes disappears when the Internet connection is taken down. The IP routing table on R2 only shows internal networks and the networks between R2 and WAN 1 and 2. No routes to internet is shown. We run "show ip bgp neighbors <ip-to-wan-1-router> received-routes" it contain internet routes. And when we run "show ip bgp neighbors <ip-to-wan-1-router> routes" it contains no routes at all.

May 9, 2012I am currently using 2 routers. One is a 2wire router with stock firmware it is connecting to the internet and can't be altered all too much, it also has a PC connected to it. The other is a WRT54GL with Tomato on it with pretty much EVERY other PC and device connected to it, it is also connected to the 2wire and DMZ'd through it.What I want to do is somehow allow everything on the Tomato router to have access to the 2wire router's PC. (For media access or printers or whatever on Windows 7)

The reason for this is I want the PC to be able to send packets to a device (with IP address A) connected to one adapter on the PC with IP address B, even though a second adapter on the PC has IP address A.

Jul 23, 2012My 2821 router has an arp table with the wrong ip to Mac mappings. The impact is that I can reach any host in the 10.1.1.1 subnet. I can reach hosts in the 192.168.35.0 just fine. [code] It is as if the 192.168.35.1 device is answering all arp requests as a proxy arp or something. Clear arp-cache nor clear ip arp on my 2821 have any affect.

Feb 21, 2012we have a 3750 and use dhcp services on the switch. every so often we run out of ip's even though we have much less users than the size of the allocated dhcp pool. I've noticed that the dhcp bind table is full but a ping-sweep only shows very few ip's being assinged and used. It looks like the IP addresses are not being released from the table even though I have decreased the lease time to 8 hours.

Jan 18, 2012I have one VLAN on a 3750 where I do not see any MAC addresses even though it is in use. This is an unrouted VLAN between a WLC on a port- channel /LAG and an access port to an ASA for guest traffic. When I do a show MAC add I get nothing for VLAN 60 (guest DMZ) but all other VLANs seem to be OK. Spanning tree is not showing TC counters incrementing either.
I also was told when put a port on this VLAN the laptop did not get a DHCP address form the ASA, but the wireless guest clients are working fine. I can see the DHCP leases and ARP entries in the ASA and the ASA ARP in the WLC so some traffic is passing fine. I'm not onsite right now so troubleshooting is all remote which limits some options.
Cisco VPN :: 2621 VPN Tunnel Drops Routes Out Of Routing Table
Dec 11, 2011My main issue was trying to connect virtuelly via GNS3 and my router setup on it. I have three Cisco 2621 XM routers set up. They all came with 2 Fast Ethernet ports. However, only one of them has a Serial port. So, what I'm doing is connecting the routers together with the fast ethernet ports using crossover cables. So, I baselined two routers to start with. Very simple AAA, set up IP HTTP server, IP HTTP Secure Server, etc. Privledge lvl 15 access, etc.
I then set my Router A's inside Fa0/1 port with a 192.168.1.0/24 network. The outside port Fa0/0 is 10.0.0.0/30 network.Router B is set up similar, 192. 168. 2. 0/24 insice Fa0/1, Fa0/0 is 10.0.0.0/30 network outside. So, three networks 192.168.1.0, 192.168.2.0, 10.0.0.0 network. [code] I then repeated the same on Router B, just transposing 2.0 network for interesting traffic, and Peer 10.0.0.2 for the Fa0/0 interface on Router A.When I "test" the tunnel, I get an error message. So, since I'm connected to Router B (which was working, had routing, and had Router A's network 1.0 in it's routing table), the error msg says that I need to add a route into the routing table (192.168.1.0). It was there up until I attempted to put the VPN in place. It's like it stopped the routing.
At face value, it looks like this should be working! But when I debug the ospf process, it looks like hello packets aren't tranversing across to the other side. Is it because I just have the 192.xxx.xxx.xxx networks as "interesting" traffic? Can I have multiple networks marked as "interesting"? I thought that's what the peer statements were doing to allow the tunnel to be established.

Dec 6, 2011I have 3750E swiches with IOS v. 12.2(55)SE3. Couple servers connect to ths switch, after ping of IP this servers I can see mac addresses in mac address table.
For instance:

When ip generate traffic to this server this mac address appear in table again on shot time (less than 10 seconds).
