my Dell D505 will not respond with either enternet or usb ports to install a modemive tried hard wireing a westell and a netgear modem,also tried both with a usb adapter and the hardware wizzard will not find the modem so it will not finish the firmware install

They have one Belkin Wireless G Notebook Network Card (#F5D7010), but when I put it in, it says I have to download the drivers for it, and can't find the drivers. I tried downloading the Belkin Driver, but it still says another driver is missing. My question: Would it be possible to download the driver on my mac, transfer it to the dell with a flash drive and install it? If so, how do I find the right one?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have two 3560G 24p switches, connected to each other via two links in Etherchannel. From one of the switches i retrieve SNMP info about port status and traffic for these two ports. That works great, until i pull out random cable. The switch responds with ifOperStatus = 2 and traffic drops to zero for that partikular port, as it should. But a some of seconds later it stops responding to my snmp reguests for ~ 5 seconds. That causes problems as my watchdog sets an alarm as it thinks the connection to the switch has been lost. (It checks switch uptime is increasing all the time)
If I set a delay on the watchdog on my monitoring system of 15sec, it works. But it ain't that nice to have a delay of 15 sec if the connection really is lost.
My hp computer says I have succesfullyadded my printer, but when my printer page says it is not responding and consequently not allowing me to print.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a dell xps L502X with windows 8. My network adapter was replaced last month. My DHCP is enabled. My DNS Server reads 192.168.1.1 and it's a home/cable/DSL connection so from what I've read that's right. I've set my IPv4 and IPv6 to automatically detect the DNS server and IP address to use. I've tried to reconfigure the computer to the wireless router, but when I go to set up a new network no networks pop up even though many networks pop up for me to connect to on the right of my screen.
All of my other devices are connected and working fine. That was the background and what I've tried to fix for my problem. When I try to connect to my home network it says it's a limited connection meaning I have no Internet access. When I run the trouble shooter for the network, Internet connections, and network adapter the only one that has an issue is the network one and the issue is that the DNS server isn't responding.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Dell XPS13 yesterday and took it home. I turned on the wireless and had internet access for a few minutes. Then it stopped working and the network diagnostic msg was "DNS Server not responding". All my other electronic devices at home are still working.
I took it back to the original computer store to get a technician to fix it. The internet worked in the store. However, after I took the laptop back home it only worked for the first few minutes and stopped working again.I've tried disabling the firewall.

Im looking to link these switches together using the 10GigE ports on the right sides of the switches as opposed to using a standard 1Gigabit cable, where I can find these cables?

I had a pc, a laptop, and a wireless printer all working properly together. Printer stopped working for some reason. The solution at which I arrived was to remove the existing printer profile and add it fresh. That worked for the pc but not for the laptop. The laptop doesn't see it.

I have even removed all security and have it set as an "Open" network to see if this will resolve and still the Dell is unable to connect. My wireless IS on, and my mother's IPad uses the same router as my laptop does for internet and she gets internet with no problem, so it's not the router. I've tried rebooting the computer, disabling and reinabling the wireless, shutting down the computer for the night and trying in the morning, and none of these things worked.
