View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with my Wifi Driver. I have tried to install the driver many times but when I restart it shows that Wifi adapter is disabled. When I go to Device Manager to enable, In Network adapter, it shows the driver with the yellow triangle and exclamation mark and is already enabled. I dont know if I am missing anything while installing the driver. Last week I called the Dell support center for the same and they told that they can fix it if they get a remote access. But I can only access the internet via Wifi which is not working.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had turned my computer on and I hadn't been on it in a week or 2 because for some reason my computers WiFi connector was not turning on in the back. Usually, if the wifi is turned on, there is a green light flashing in the back which tells me it is picking up or searching for a signal. And once I turned it on, it had started working again. So I played on it a bit and got off. But when I went to turn it on today, it wont pick up any signals. My router is working perfectly fine since I'm typing this on my iPad.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new Dell Studio 540. It is presently plugged into a wired router via an Ethernet cable. However according to the documentation I should also have a wireless card fitted. It should have the following fitted:
Wireless Network Card 1505 PCIe 802.11n
How I find out this information.
I just got a XPS 14z. The wireless signal isn't consistent and it is weaker than my old XPS 1330. It's actually painfully slow. Every thing is exactlly the same. I have my old computer next to the new computer and the wireless signal is working much better on the old computer. Pages are loading more quickly on the older model. Howothers wireless is performing on their 14z? There is nothing wrong with the router or internet connection.

View 11 Replies View RelatedA while ago (around 5 months) my wireless card suddenly stopped working for no reason whatsoever. Since then I had been using a usb wifi dongle but I got sick of that so decided to find out what the problem was. All my drivers where up to date, I re-installed everything, no luck. Opened the laptop up to find the wireless card had burnt out. Ordered a new one from Amazon (It was legit, more expensive than ebay ones) Put the new one in everything worked fine, wireless back on as normal, now 3 days later, wireless randomly turned of again, smelled burning inside my laptop, opened it up and the new wireless card had burnt out again. My friend thinks its the circuit. I had defiantly connected everything properly as I have taken many laptops apart.
The network card is: Model: 622ANHMWIntel Centrino Advanced N6200
Everything else on the laptop works perfect.
I'm trying to get a Inspiron 2500 laptop connected to a network using the Dell TrueMobile 1150 mini wireless lan card. This computer was given to her and came with the Truemobile lan card. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 14R running Windows 7 64 bit. I have had my PC from this past November; about 7 months.
I was using my PC, and suddenly, I started to experience wireless problems. I was unable to get onto the internet. Other devices on my wireless network are able to log on to our network, although that is irrelevant because my radio wasn't picking up anything at all, when it always had from that same location. The connection worked fine using an ethernet cable. After the problem occurred, my Targus Bluetooth mouse also stopped working. This is what I have tried:
Going into Network and Sharing Center, disabling my network adapter, and then enabling it again. This usually does the trick. After doing it over 5 times, it never worked.
Doing a simple system restore. I attempted restoring 3 different times to an update within the last week, each of which failed (probably another issue altogether).
Re-installing my WLAN CARD Driver, and then restarting. This didn't solve the problem. Checking the Device Manager. It reported that the wireless card was running properly.Using the DW WLAN CARD Utility. It says under the Link Status tab, after Connection Status, Radio Disabled. I tried right-clicking the icon in my Notification Area, and then clicking Enable Radio. It then shows an alert saying "The WLAN card is still disabled. Use the wireless switch or hotkey to enable it." Pressing Fn + F2, which is also supposed to enable the radio, did nothing, with no action or sign whatsoever from Windows. I also tried running tests under the Diagnostics tab. All hardware tests passed, with the Connection test giving me this alert again: "The WLAN card is still disabled. Use the wireless switch or hotkey to enable it," and then failing. The same thing happened when running the CCX Client diagnostics.
I have a dell studio XPS, when I remove the battery, there is a slot for inserting SIM card for connecting to internet (through SIM card).I inserted SIM card and it fixed in slot and also installed Dell Mobile Broadband Card Utility, but when run DMBC, it say No Device Detected. My windows is 7 64bit.What I must do for use SIM card dongle? If my dell laptop support UMT?If no, what is this SIM card slot?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased a Latitude E6220 with a 4G WWAN modem (the DW5800). My intention was to support DirectAccess, i.e. Microsoft's clientless VPN, but unfortunately I have not found any way to get the IPv6 protocol installed on the device.
I've searched Verizon Wireless, Dell and Novatel Wireless forums without any success.
I intend to upgrade to a dual band router and would like to replace the 1000 with a 6300. I need an extra antenna for the 6300, as I do not have a WWAN or Tv tuner fitted, is it possible to utilise the spare antenna for the 6300? If this is possible, I have read about white lists in the bios causing boot up error messages when using alternate cards, if purchased from Dell, will this be a problem?

Network card: Dell 1525 WLAN Pcle Card (802.11n) with external antenna.
The computer is connected to the router via ethernet cable.
I've talked to Dell tech support and they're convinced it's a software problem but this implies otherwise.
