Dsl Connects And Fixes Itself After Some Time
Apr 16, 2013Sometimes my DSL can't connect and I have to wait until it fixes itself.Is there any way I can fix it by myself. I've tried to reset the router but it doesnt work.

May 1, 2012I recently purchased a X2000 ADSL modem/router combination. For some reason the current time will not stay set to the time zone. Rebooting clears the discrepancy for a short time before it drops an hour exactly. I'm in the central time zone and the setting are correct on the basic setup.?

I also have Qos Engine on for allowing me to have 2 xboxes on Open NAT.problem is my wireless signal for some wired reason is VERY weak. A while ago it used to work really far way outside. Jun 29, 2011Ciso 1941 router frozen once a day, sometimes after 2 to 7 days. When the router frozen, no internet connection and cannot login/ping ethernet ports. I can login to console port and copy the error messages below. Reload the router and it will return back to normal operation. Re-installed IOS but still the same.

3G Connects But Cannot Get Onto The Network
Jul 11, 2012This PC is connected to a Press machine in our Production area (Lan only with machine and PLC's) so I disable the LAN to the press then the 3G connection comes up with bps activity. I want to use teamviewer on the PC for remote support but teamviewer is unable to connect like it use to and its a free license. I tried internet explorer and "page cannot be displayed". There are no special proxy settings and DHCP IP. ( Windows XP with admin rights)
Whats confusing is even if the lan is disabled, the 3G connection would only come up now and then, but then I could add. The PC has viruses and very slow at the moment and I have loaded free AVG just to scan and clean some to see if it works. I cannot format the PC or something like that because there is production software and applications on with special settings that runs the R10 000 000 press machine and if the PC stops... trouble :/ I have ordered new PC for the press machine 18 000 Euros but that would take 12 weeks to arrive and if I could get the connection internet working on the machine it would be great.

Jul 11, 2012Its actually owned by the charity that i volunteer for and is connected to their private network and the internet ,When the user logs on in the morning, the laptop will not connect to the internet, it will also not connect to the shared network drive, so i can assume theres a local connection issue too,the user has to restart the laptop several times before the laptop will connect.

Router?The house has three active laptops, all of which are working perfectly fine. This new computer,however, is a desktop, and I am trying to connect to my house's internet through a USB stick device that transmits the signal (D-link, model DWA-110). I know for a fact that this device works for two reasons. Firstly, I've used it in another laptop, and more strangely, it works on this new computer sometimes too.After about half an hour of random methods to make a connection stick, it might connect. And it lasts until the computer goes to standby, or is turned off. This is just random stuff through the network and sharing centre part of the control panel.Nothing ever works twice, and I haven't been able to replicate it for about a week. It successfully connects, and the connection is real because I can access the internet momentarily. But it always just disconnects again. I've tried it in every USB port, too.The signal strength is excellent, and when it connects it works great. It just almost always fails to.

May 9, 2012I have 3 computers running Windows and 1 running XP Pro.ISP is Charter. All these were connecting fine until Tuesday night storm came through. Power was out for a while due to a power pole being knocked down. Cable was on this same pole I think. Next day none of my computers could connect wireless.Used Ethernet cable direct to modem and finally got connection. To make a long story shorter, I find that now I can only connect unsecured or WEP. Can't connect using WPA2 at all.I wonder if it is possible that the ISP has blocked something to limit the speed?
WEP is only 54 MHZ
WPA2 is upto 300MHZ
Tried 2 different Netgear routers with same results Currently configured for WEP shared

Jun 12, 2012I have an old XP laptop which is now used for my wife on her embroidery machine and have tried to integrate it into the home wifi. The other three PC's/laptops all have win7. Is the XP not compatible? It sees and connects to the wifi with full strength, but I cannot access internet at all.

Oct 7, 2011My flatmates and I recently got Sky broadband - their laptops connect just fine to the internet and they are able to use it without any problems. Mine also connects, but I can't do things like browse or use Skype, etc.When I go into Google Chrome, I'm told there is a DNS error that was unable to be resolved. Mozilla tells me that I have a problem with my server, and IE doesn't work either. Also, I am receiving very few packets. For every 2,000 or so packets that are sent, I only receive 2 or 6. When I click 'repair' I am told that my IP address cannot be renewed. The thing is, the internet works on my netbook at my mother's house, yet it doesn't work in my flat or other places like wifi spots.
I've tried so many things, such as clearing the DNS cache, releasing and renewing IP address, I've set the properties of the wireless connection to obtain DNS and IP automatically, I've tried pinging, I've turned off all my firewalls, I tried system restore, I've fiddled with certain keys in the registry, I even rebooted my entire hard disk last night and it still doesn't work! I'm really at my wit's end with this and I don't know what else to do. The problem is way beyond my comprehension now.

Before this the laptop had connected fine to my home wifi secured with WPA2-PSK[AES]. After this problem tho it refuses to connect while it is secured. As a result, pcAnywhere will no longer connect, and this is a critical function of the office. This has to get fixed. I've attempted to put the settings back to what they were (The IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, etc...) but now the Server will no longer connect to the internet when you setup the Static IP.
