Is the WAG320N iPv6 compatable ? ,or could it be with a firmware update ?.Is the X2000 in the same boat in iPv6 terms as th WAG320N ?.Is there a way of retrieving "UPTIME" / "DSL connection time" information from the WAG320N and also line attenuation stats etc.Wouldn't need the above but poor isp needs keeping an eye on.
View 3 RepliesThis is a bit of a pain as the behaiviour is not consistent. whenever I connect to the Device webpage a number of things may happen
1. There is no connection - the page tries to load but never does. While this happens the router drops the ADSL connection and re-connects. I have to close the browser session and try again later. OR
2. The Browser session connects but at some point after the connection, say when I am trying to save changes or even just browsing through the config pages the session hangs, and again the router drops the ADSL connection and re-connects. I have to close the session and try again later.
I have noticed this happens when I use my OpenSuse 11.4 Linux Box using Firefox 5 or even using my Win 7 Box using IE9.
How do I set the time on my WAG320N manually. I have set the time zone, but the time shown is 04-01-2000 15:33:52, and I can't find anywhere to correct this.

Rebooting clears the discrepancy for a short time before it drops an hour exactly. I'm in the central time zone and the setting are correct on the basic setup.?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've bought a "WAG160N v1.0 Annex A" almost 2 years ago. I never used it's wireless feature untill we moved our house. Now it's like 4 month I'm using its wifi feature and I've got to admit I'm really frustrated by its functionality!
For months the modem just dropped wireless connection constantly in various time periods. Somtimes it went like 2 days without any problem but some other times I had to change channel every 15 minutes for it to get back working. And yes it didn't get fix until I changed the channel, otherwise clients had to wait several hours for a 50/50 chance of reconnection. Now It's two days the changing channel trick no longer works. I tried all channels and even put my notebook next to the modem but no luck. The notebook sometimes connnects to the access point but disconnects after a few seconds. Somtimes it doesnt even detect the SSID of my WAG160N modem. Some friends suggested that the wireless hardware of my modem is broken and no longer works but I'm eager to know if it is broken why is it still broadcasting and sending signal.
I've tried everything from upgrading and downgrading firmware to turning on and off the modem several times and changes modem position. And even tried the G-only 20MHz mode.We are at a very crowdy place. Using inSSIDer I could pick about 15 other access points. I have WRT54G2 router. All settings are more-less default and the behavior is following.You start up the router. If you do not connect wireless device within 10 minutes, then you have to restart the router.You have assigned IP via wifi, and when you connect cable device to the router, the wifi PCs are disconnected.

I called my ISP who said there was nothing wrong on their end. Plugging directly into my modem allows me to access the Internet. When I wake up in the morning, the connection is back until 11 or later again. I ran WireShark but I'm not sure what to be looking for. There are a lot of random things from the LLMNR protocol like standard query A zmtvrjaql.

And before you ask, I've brought the DSL router as I'm moving in the next 12 months and my new base will not have access to cable internet and I'll be reverting back to DSL.
I am using linksys cisco wag120n adsl2 modem router.When I start the router the internet speed seems great but after some time the speed drops miserably. When I again restart the router the speed seems great for few mins but again drops after sometime.It happens in both LAN and wireless mode.The firmware version of the router is 1.00.16
I was going through the problems posted by some other user but observed that cisco people are not heraing to them.Seems made a mistake by associating with cisco product.This is the worst router I have ever used.The wireless also gets disconnected abruptly.Next time I'll avoid cisco.Cisco is all about stone age products and zero customer care.

1. Slow wireless speed - only 2Mbit - with cabte up to the lines max 15Mbit
2. The routers system time is wrong - it says " 03-01-2000 02:19:54" I have set the correct system time but no difference

I have been using a WAG320N since January. Around a week ago I came home to find the unit attempting to reconnect every few minutes - the DSL light flashing but nothing happening.
I replaced with an old Belkin unit which worked fine straight away.
i have upgraded the firmware, which made no difference, and secondly, tried a brand new unit, which strangly had the same problem even though the ancient belkin unit works first time and my original cisco unit worked for a couple of months before failing.
Are there any settings that relate to the DSL connection that may have been reset on the original unit? Could this be an issue related to signal quality or anything similar?
Everytime I post this message it keeps leaving out the contents...think it might be an IE9 issue.Does anyone know if its possible to see the duration of the internet connection on a WAG320N?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded from a WAG54GS to the WAG320N. It seems to work OK for a period then looses the connetion to the Internet - DSL light on but not the Internet light. Normally I need to re-set the router to re-connect (either through the back switch or through the setup page)

When the modem looses connection to the Internet; the DSL Noise Margin drops way down to 0.0 or 0.5.
Got BT Infinity installed today, thought I would ditch the Home-hub 3 and go back to my tried and tested WAG320N. Got it configured, set the first ethernet port to WAN and got a connection.Ran speed test.net and comes out at 26Mbit.using the Home-hub 3.0 I get 37.5MBit.

I also have Qos Engine on for allowing me to have 2 xboxes on Open NAT.problem is my wireless signal for some wired reason is VERY weak. A while ago it used to work really far way outside. It was around 150ft distance at 4 bars. Now for some reason I can't even go upstairs without getting a 1 or 2 bar signal.

Ciso 1941 router frozen once a day, sometimes after 2 to 7 days. When the router frozen, no internet connection and cannot login/ping ethernet ports. I can login to console port and copy the error messages below. Reload the router and it will return back to normal operation. Re-installed IOS but still the same.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought a e4200 router about 3 weeks ago and after a power outage it decided it didnt like being connected to the internet anymore. So i got on the phone with cisco they determined the router was no good, mind you my laptop would connect wired. So they sent me a "refurbished" one, so i set it up. The new setup was wonky because it said the same message "Your connected to your router but..." then after trying to get the connection its self and failing it came up with "congratulations you are now connected to the internet". That lasted 3hrs and 45mins then died, so i went upstairs to power cycle it, it decided to connect with the old settings. That lased 25mins then died, so i reset it and reconfigured the router. Wouldnt connect, i checked my mac address and it was using my wireless one and kept turning on my wireless connection durring the install. So i cloned my wired mac address and got the internet for roughly an hour... then it died. So i reset it again and kept the wifi off got it going and decided to go to sleep. I wake up and its still working after 8hrs, i go down stairs with my tablet and i dies again. This time it refuses to reconnect, refuses to reset back up just doesnt want to work.

We have a switch in the building. I am getting connection via CAT5. So I choosed "Use as WAN Port" from Ethernet settings. There is not much you can do here. I just used PPPoE and connected internet without any problem. The problem is I am only getting 32mbps. When I connect CAT5 cable directly to my computer I am getting 92mbps.
Maybe WAG320N is not establishing a full duplex connection.
So I just got hooked up to the internet via qwest the other day with my room mate. We have a wireless modem (PK5000) and he's using the AE2500 usb adapter to get online. Now, he can get online, but if he ever turns off or sleeps his computer, he can't connect when he turns it back on. His computer can see the network, full signal, but when he tries to connect it says cannot connect and under troubleshoot options suggests we should move his computer closer to the modem, but its only about 20 feet away and shows full signal. To get it to work, we need to go into the modem config and reset the wireless options. No changes are made, just scroll to the bottom and click apply, and presto change he can connect with no problems.He's running windows 7 home edition 64 bit. The modem's security is WPA/WPA2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco WRT120N Router and a Cisco Valet AM10 wireless adapter. Almost every time the computer reboots, I loose my network and I have to redo the AM10 setup. The AM10 is the only device that loses the connection, my lap top and printer do not lose the connection.
Problem 2: Everytime I upplug and replug the AM10 a window pops up saying I need to check the drive for errors but none
are found.
Problem 3: I downloaded the AM10 install program, Downloadable.Setup.AM10.1.2.10148.2. It does not work. If I try to run it Iget an error message that the setup canot be completed and to call in for support.
Problem 4: When I can get it working is shows that it is Wireless Connection 5. Why 5 and not 1? Where are the other 4?
