Formatted my inspiron 1010 and since then F2 does not function. I have downloaded the enable/disable utility. Nothing happened. The system does not show any wireless network available. The icon shows that the wireless LAN and WAN/GPS are enabled.

I am trying to connect to internet through wifi but comp. wont connect. when i run diagnostic it says internet ip ping faild. my router( witch is an arris xfinity) is working fine with two other computers. strangly it connects with my netgear router just fine.

I don't know how to find the bluetooth feature of my laptop anymore now that I have windows 8 installed. My phone scans for it, and can no longer find it.
I have connected my phone to the laptop, it installs the phone, but cannot find the photos and videos that I have on my phone, even thought there are tons of them.
I thought perhaps I could Bluetooth them to the laptop, but so far, it's been nothing but a frustrating morning trying to locate the bluetooth function, and Dell's website doesn't seem to understand that people actually upgrade their systems to Windows 8, so there's no support there as far as drivers go.
I've got an Inspiron 17R, conveniently out of warranty, service tag <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the past few months, I have been using a Buffalo drive (formatted as FAT) as a media server to function as my network drive for iTunes. Unfortunately, I have recently noted in the last 2-3 weeks that, when copying new files, the file size changes to zero bytes. I do not seem to have this problem when i plug the drive directly into my computer via USB, only when adding files over the network. I spoke to tech support, who said, based on the story in that files can be correctly transferred when directly connected, it appears to be a network problem.
I am running OS 10.8 with iTunes 11 (but also occurred with iTunes 10) and using version 1.0.04 on the E3000.
This PC has lost browser features because DNS has ceased to function. I can ping an external IP address, however DNS queries are met with the response "Ping request could not find host <URL>. Please check the name and try again." A VM on the same machine has no problem. Is there a root DNS utility on the host platform and a way to diagnose it.

Xbox Live is a little spotty. Have never had a problem with it before. I have done all the resets, factory resets, hard resets, and any other names.
