I'm trying to connect a hp Probook with windows 7(32-bits) to a network. I can't sucessfully connect to both a LAN and a WLAN. The windows diagnosis keep complaining that there's something wrong with the network driver, both for the LAN and WLAN. I have uninstalled and downloaded and reinstalled the drivers(I'm sure they're the correct ones) but the report is the same.
I just got an Inspiron 1520 for Christmas. So I have only been using it a few days. The first day I set up the internet connection I had no problem but now when my computer goes into sleep mode or hibernate mode I lose internet connection and it won't reconnect. It will seach for a network, then say that I have limited access or the network is unidentified. I have to either disconnect from the network and reconnect and sometimes I even have to restart the laptop to get the connection back. I have the Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN mini card.
Basically, I turn my laptop on it all loads but when it gets to finding netwoks in the quick link bar the network icon is crossed out, when I hover over it it says "Not connected - No connections are avalible".
It' has done this before and I simply used a Netgear wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet. The problem fixed itself in a few weeks. It's started over again and I was told by a friend to format my harddrive which I did. It's still happening.
When I go to troubleshoot my connections it says Ethernet cable is unplugged. I have another laptop (exactly same as mine), and two desktop computers which all run Windows 7 and can find the network.
I've been having an issue with my computer for a few months now. I'm quite capable of handling computers and repairs but this has me stumped. I have no issues connecting to the wireless internet at my office. It's tied directly to the company server so that's no surprise. While using Holiday Inn's internet this is also NO problem. When I'm at my house it's another story. If I boot my computer with wifi shutoff and ethernet disconnected the computer runs just fine. When I engage the WIFI or connect the ethernet the computer becomes non-responsive. The curse still moves but nothing is opening, closing, clearing off the screen. When I ctrl+alt+del, click task manager my desktop image appears but NO windows tool bar nor task manager appears. Not only does this occur on my home wifi, but my girlfriends parent's house and at an official Google job site.
It may also be worth mentioning that when coming back from a hibernation, (the black screen with the load bar on the bottome "resuming windows") it loads about 20% and stops, never loading the rest (I've waited hours before, NOTHING). My initial thoughts where that the Symmantec Endpoint Security had blocked certain router IP addresses and was causing the freezes. But this didn't seem to be the issue since my company deleted the Symmanted software and installed McAfee to fix my issue. I can connect to wifi at my office and holiday inn express BUT NOT at my home, other private networds, nor the Google jobsite wifi. My Smmantec Norton Enpoint Security was removed and replaced with McAfee Security. My laptop is an HP ProBook 6460b running Windows XP (5.1 with service pack 3).
I'm trying to get my wireless turned back on after using an Ethernet connection at work. It's a Latitude E5400. The message I'm getting is that the DW WLAN Card is still disabled and to use the DW WLAN Utility to enable it. There is no icon in my notification area and I cannot seem to locate this "Utility". I'm assuming I'm missing a driver.
I have recently installed a new wireless network in my home. All my internet devices (Laptops, PS3, iPad etc.) have been able to acess the new network but my old Dell XPS 600 with its Dell 1450 wireless card cannot "see" the new network. When I refresh available networks in wireless connections the old XPS 600 can see various networks (neighbours etc.) but cannot recognise the new network even though its working fine with my other PCs
Do I need to upgrade the Dell 1450 wireless card ? If so what am I missing - what requirements do I miss? Which card should I buy?
I recently setup a 2504 WLC that has two primary WLANs (internal and guest) which get their IP addresses from a central DHCP server using the local router's broadcast forwarding. Things seem to be working well for the internal wlan, but clients on the guest wlan don't seem to be getting IP addresses. If I give the client a static IP they are able to communicate across the wlan okay.
It is worth noting that I am using LAG between the controller and router and this guest wlan is really just a regular wlan (with PSK) that has an access-list applied to force it to the internet only. The access-list should be allowing dhcp requests through, but in any case, I removed the access-list and it made no difference.
Here is a debug client for a machine connected to the guest vlan (vlan 33). The internal wlan is on the 10.10.10.0/24 network (same as wired and same that the AP's are connected to) and the guest wlan is 10.33.0.0/16. I don't understand why I am seeing the dhcp request come from the internal vlan/ wlan first and it gets an IP address on this network. I then see a request on the guest wlan/vlan at which point it appears to get a valid IP address on the guest network (10.33.0.0), but the client never sees this. [code]
I am a owner of a cyber cafe.there is wired lan connection on the desktop computers in my cafe which is connected to a wifi router (Dlink).I have issue while playing counter strike 1.6.if i am connected to wifi router from my laptop, i am not able to detect the lan game server. the game server which is created on one of the desktop machine on the lan network of my cafe ! In other words I want to play cs 1.6 from my laptop which is connected to a LAN network through wifi router !

I would like to setup a 2504 to have one Guest WLAN and one Staff WLAN with a controller port for each WLAN connected to different devices.
I would prefer to connect the WLC Guest port to an ASA 5510 and the WLC Staff port to an internal 2960S switch. Will this work? I haven't setup a 2500 series controller previously.
So earlier today I purchased a new video card, a PNY Nvidia Gtx 560. After installing the drivers through the disc, I ended up getting he BSOD, and my PC just kept on restarting automatically. I fixed that problem, and found out that I should install the drivers for it through their website instead. So, after restarting my PC yet again, I tried using the Internet (Chrome) and found out that I have no Internet connection. Now, I am writing this on my iPad using the same router and modem that my PC is supposed to be using, but I keep on checking my WLAN adapter and it says that it is Not Connected. Now I have tried every forum, every post, EVERYTHING related to this problem and not a single thing fixes it. Also, when I do the ipconfig, everything says Media Disconnected and that's it. PS, I tried unplugging/plugging back in my modem and router PPS, Is it possible that when installing my new gcard and psu that I may have messed up with something internally?
I have some trouble with the setup of an oeap 600 ap. The ap has joined the controller as it should and the remote-lan connection to my corporate network works well, but i can't connect to the corporate wlan.
When i check the event log on the ap it says:
" *Oct 02 07:36:56.662: (Re)Assoc-Req from 00:1a:73:d2:82:8c forwarded to WLC, wired: no *Oct 02 07:36:56.665: received assoc-rsp for wireless client, status=0011 *Oct 02 07:37:11.712: DisAssoc-Req/DeAUTH from 00:1a:73:d2:82:8c forwarded to WLC, wired: no *Oct 02 07:37:11.713: WTP Event: Delete Mobile sent to wlc00:1a:73:d2:82:8c"
and a debug on the controller gives me:

I have a Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN MiniCard and have been able to connect to all hostels wifi networks until now. There isn't anything wrong with the network itself because my iPhone and a different tablet can still connect to it.The network is in the list, full signal, but it tries to connect and sticks at 'Acquiring network address' then fails. I have tried the Repair button an it says it can't repair it because it can't give me a new IP address.
I have dell inspiron 640m with Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card and it is connecting perfectly with any other routers.but i can not connect it to CISCO WAP4410N router ! i tried several times but no way.I can connect IPAD , Samsung Smart tv , Denon network radio and toshiba laptob but not Imy nspiron laptop.I think my WLAN can not get th WAP4410N IP address !
I have Cisco 5508 Wlan Controller and its having 6 Fiber Ports and I have AIR-LAP1131AG-E-K9 Access Point. Can this Access Point will work with this Lan Controller? Can i connect 3 switches to this wlan controller?
We recently purchased a 2112 WLC, running version 6.0.199.4. I have everything running through a single port on the controller, which is connected to a trunk port on our 3750 stack. Our management VLAN is vlan 40, and AP is plugged into another port on the same switch which is an access port in vlan 40. APs appear in the controller ok, receive an IP address, but we aren't able to connect to any of the WLANs and periodically the APs will disassociate with the following messages: [code] I'm not sure if that's related to why we can't connect to the WLANs or not...
Another wrinkle is that if we plug in the AP directly to one of the PoE ports on the controller, it all works perfectly. I'm guessing its something switch-related since the only difference is that we're not going through the switch when it works.

I recently purchased an TL-WDR3600. Setup was easy. Both wlan channels work perfectly. All clients can connect to the internet and access my lan connected NAS. I have some wlan devices which needs to be connected sometimes by http: port 80 and also by telnet or ssh. I can connect from a wlan device to a lan device. But NOT from a wlan to wlan or a lan to wlan. I allready diabled WMM and tried some other wlan settings, like disable one channel, changing the channel width etc.
My setup is : ADSL device -->(192.168.1.X dhcp) WAN TL-WDR3600 --> to LAN&WLAN (192.168.0.X dhcp and some LAN connected with static 0.200, 0.210)
I can't connect to the internet using wireless. Can access the internet just fine with my cable. All I see is the red x and its not able to detect any networks. I reinstalled drivers, it works fine for a second, and then dies out again.
I want to buy the CISCO C819G-4G-G-K9 M2M Router. Studying the characteristics as I always do, I discovered (incredible for me!) that so a sophisticated and expensive router has not the WLAN. Nevertheless, to have the Wi-Fi connection is essential for me.
which is the instrument or machine of Cisco that I must use to connect to the CISCO C819G-4G-G-K9 M2M Router and to have the WLAN 2.4/5 GHz? Will this be possible?
I have dell inspiron 640m with Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card and it is connecting perfectly with any other routers. but i can not connect it to CISCO WAP4410N router ! i tried several times but no way.
I can connect IPAD , Samsung Smart tv , Denon network radio and toshiba laptop but not my inspiron laptop. I think my WLAN can not get th WAP4410N IP address !
The first is I have a laptop running XP with a Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card built in to it. But for some reason when I'm using that wireless connector my computer won't connect to my router and give me a 192.168.0.x address, it gives me a regular IP address. I can surf the net and everything but I can't access files on other computers. But from it it'll allow me to connect to the router admin fine.Whenever I put the mac address in to my DHCP setting on my router it comes up * RESERVED INACTIVE * and never gives my laptop a local ip address. The other problem is on my 192.168.0.2 computer I've tried to set up port forwarding but it won't open the ports. My router is a Motorola SBG6580 provided by my cable company. This particular computer is connected by Ethernet and not Wifi if that makes a difference.

I got an Fritz Box from my new Provider to connect to the internet using Fiber To Home. the box is now im my living room and also acts as an WLAN Router. I would like to configure my WRT54GL which in located in my office from a router to a repeater to establish a WLAN bridgde.
I recently upgraded our controllers to the latest version 7 software, as I read this was one of the requirements to get them to connect. But I am not having any luck getting into a controller. Normally I plug them in to the network, they pop into the controller listed as something like AP5057.a844.xxxx and then I can finish configuring them, but a static IP on them, etc. This is the first of this model AP I have tried to deploy, so I am wondering what is different with these. or what I might be missing in the default config in the WLAN controllers. Niether of which are set to "Master" either.
Few days ago I started to get the following error message while trying to connect to the internet using Chrome and IE:"Unable to connect to the proxy server..."I don't have a proxy server configured - nothing is checked in the LAN settings page.In Firefox I don't have that problem - it seems it gets the proxy configuration from elsewhere.
In my device I am able to browse through & connect to my HOME wifi network ; But after connecting it says 'No Internet Access'.I tried connecting with my SONY Bluray , iphone , ipad , laptops -- everywhere same story.I am able to plug in the ethernet cable directly from modem & able to connect to network.I am not able to open the http://192.168.0.1 -- ( When I am plugged in the modem directly)
Following are my router details

I have a strange problem. I think it is because, i dont have too much technical knowledge on networking..I have got a Internet connection from unity media & i also purchased the router (D-LINK 600) from them .I have a personal laptop- lenovo which was first connected to the direct Modem with ethernet cable. I was able to connect to the internet. After 2 days, i attempted to use the Router. There was a CD wizard provided & attempted to use it....! The CD wizard is basically to configure the Router for its domain ID - Pswd & SSID with Pswd. But the internet (wired) from the router was not working still..However, When i check for the devices, the new SSID would be visible & asks for password. Only right password was accepted. but the internet doesn't work...!One fine day, i noticed the default router setting 192.168.0.1.
Unfortunately, it was in german & i couldn't understand excpet user ID and password. I later did trails & dont know what all i have set. Finally the internet to my primary laptop started working.. through the router & wired. The problem now is, When i try to connect the 2nd laptop (wired/ Wireless), the internet doesn't work. Lately, i find the detailed user manual in Unity media site for configuring the router. But, now, i can't access the configuration 192.168.0.1 any more
