Feb 2, 2011

My brother keeps downloading torrents and I don't want him to so I was wondering if there was a way to keep torrents from going from my router to his computer but still give him access to the internet. I have a Linksys WRT160N V3 router.

So I forgot that way.I could also block ports... but she could change the ports of the BitTorrent network...

Browser (ff / IE / Chrome) And MSN Not Working But BitTorrent And Gameranger Work Fine

Apr 19, 2011

i share internet with my neighbor (we split the bill) and every so often like in the last 2 days, and usually not again for another 3 weeks for 2-3 more more days each time, am not able to browse(ff, chrome, ie) or use windows live messenger, but yet if i turn on bittorrent, the downloads are fine, the trackers don't update, but DHT and peer exchange update fine. And also, i can get on Gameranger (which uses UDP port 16000) and play games, and this happens to all 5 computers on the network, (4 wireless at my house[3 XPs 1 Win7] and one wired at her house[Win 7]), so it's not something on the computer, also, usually when i check my router the subnet is usually but this morning before i came to work i noticed it was , not sure if that matters, this has been happening for months, usually between every 3-4 weeks, we have no browser and msn use for 2-3 days?

Linksys Wireless Router :: E2000 Won't Allow Deluge BitTorrent Incoming Connection

Feb 7, 2013

I recently downloaded Deluge and while I can download torrents without a problem, I always have the "NO INCOMING CONNECTIONS' warning. I've tried single port forwarding, port range forwarding, turning UPnP off and on ... in short I've tried a lot of stuff and the only thing that clears the message is to remove the router out of the equation. The message disappears as soon as I connect the pc directly to the modem.

Tp-link Dual-band Wireless :: Tl-wdr4900 Unstable Wifi Connection As Well As Bittorrent / P2p Transfers

Apr 26, 2013

Region : Hongkong
Model : TL-WDR4900
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.14.3 Build 130320 Rel.39025n
ISP : PCCW Netvigator

I have upgraded to the latest firmware which solved lots of problems regarding unstable wifi connection as well as BitTorrent / P2P transfers. But I also observed that when my BT is on (Transmission for Mac) at around 50KB/s upload and download, my network latency hikes up from some 30ms to 500ms which affects a lot on web browsing or other apps requiring Internet. My BitTorrent app is showing I am merely making some 20 peers connection so I am not convinced that is an ISP problem but it's more about the router.

Cisco :: ACL To Block One Host From Another?

Oct 31, 2012

I am learning to write ACL's along with a billion other Cisco things. The internet is not clear on how to do this exactly. At least in my research.

I have two host on the same subnet and I want to block all except RDP TCP port 3389 from one host to another.

I want to apply that Access-group to a switchport interface on my 3750 that belongs to the computer I want to protect from the other.

Host A: -- I need to block all TCP and UDP traffic except for port 3389tcp

Host B: -- I need to allow only TCP port 3389 from Host A to this one.

This is on the same switch so I can use an extended ACL like 101 or whatever.

This is almost starting to make sense to me but im still weak on extended ACL. I got basics down pretty well.
