Linksys Wireless Router :: E2000 Won't Allow Deluge BitTorrent Incoming Connection
Feb 7, 2013
I recently downloaded Deluge and while I can download torrents without a problem, I always have the "NO INCOMING CONNECTIONS' warning. I've tried single port forwarding, port range forwarding, turning UPnP off and on ... in short I've tried a lot of stuff and the only thing that clears the message is to remove the router out of the equation. The message disappears as soon as I connect the pc directly to the modem.

My firewall outpost detected incoming connections on port 80 and blocked them.I think that the router must block incoming connections on port 80, right? But it does not.

I have a Cisco E3000.My roommate is using our internet connection (in fact mine) to donwload on BitTorrent networks. I could block BitTorrents urls, but she could dowload the torrent file from another connection and do the download with my connection. So I forgot that way.I could also block ports... but she could change the ports of the BitTorrent network...

I am using a E2000 connected to a DSL modem via the internet port. My modem is able to connect at gigabit speed but it doesn't seem to be the case with the E2000. All other ports are running at gigabit speed without problem. Is there any parameter that can be modified or is it a router limit?

I recently purchased a Mac and wanted to reset my wireless router and set it up using my mac. However, when I downoaded the software to set it up again, it said it was not compatable with my Mac OS (X Lion 10.7.4). I am sure there is a way to manually set it up via an ethernet connection, but I am at a loss as to how to do that. The wireless router is working just fine, I am able to connect to the internet wirelessly and there's nothing wrong with my internet service, however the wireless router is not secured.I have my Mac connected to the wireles router via an ethernet cord.

Internet was working great a few days ago with my e2000 and comcast as my ISP. I've got a few devices connected through ethernet connections on the unit. We also connect to the e2000 wirelessly.Problems started yesterday with no internet. Last night I rebooted everything and still nothing works. Connected laptop to cable modem directly. Wasn't getting internet connectivity so I called Comcast. They reset my modem and everything started working fine. Now I can directly connect from cable modem to laptop and internet works fine. I try connecting the modem to the router and still no internet.

My connection to Davis Instruments' WeatherLink had been working for many weeks, when my old WRT54G quite renewing DHCP leases. I've replaced it with a new E2000. All seems well. The Wifi network is working and my server resources to the outside are working. But the blasted WeatherLink software complains that it can't connect to to the interface box. This is a wired connection. The software finds the MAC address of the interface box and the assigned IP address, but "testing" the connection fails. I can ping the IP address of the interface box. The Davis people insist this is an issue with the router. The WeatherLink software uses a weird port: 22222 I didn't know there were ports with 5 digits. I've tried port forwarding this to the IP of the computer, but nothing changes. I think if I can ping the IP of the interface from the computer, communication should work.

I use to use 2 routers, one for me and my dad, another for my brother and sister. We decided to get rid of the other router, and make our cisco E2000 our main router, but, everything on the router settings got removed so we had to reset it up. I remember reading an advanced setting guide on making my wireless speed go from 13.5MBPS to 216 MBPS, but i forgot what the settings was in advance settings.

I bought a brand spanking new Linksys E2000. I get great connection speeds and awesome range, until the day I set up parental controls. Once I set them up, It slowed my connections down to a crawl. Thinking that I did something wrong, I reset the router and did the entire installation. Everything was back to normal, but it did it again once I set up the parental controls.

Region : Hongkong
Model : TL-WDR4900
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.14.3 Build 130320 Rel.39025n
ISP : PCCW Netvigator
I have upgraded to the latest firmware which solved lots of problems regarding unstable wifi connection as well as BitTorrent / P2P transfers. But I also observed that when my BT is on (Transmission for Mac) at around 50KB/s upload and download, my network latency hikes up from some 30ms to 500ms which affects a lot on web browsing or other apps requiring Internet. My BitTorrent app is showing I am merely making some 20 peers connection so I am not convinced that is an ISP problem but it's more about the router.

I have the AE1000 adaptor on my wife's computer and direct wired on mine is the E2000.The e2000 is set to 2.4mhz and when connected to the wireless network, my wifes ae1000 shows it is connected at 144mbps.When I change the e2000 to 5.0 mhz and then my wife connects to the internet, she shows the ae1000 at 16-53 mbps. When I switch back to 2.4 she shows 144. I thought that when the e2000 is connected at 5.0 she should have a "faster connection".

my WRT54G has been configured to block any and all incoming connections.continue to have disabled all port forwarding, port triggering, the DMZ, and QoS, via the applicable tabs under the [Applications & Gaming] Panel. The WRT54G continues to be configured to operate as a Gateway. No static routes are defined. The routing table show four entries, none of which are remarkable or match in anyway the partial address identified above. So I am under the impression that my WRT54G should be ignoring everything from the WAN-side.Even pinging the WAN-side of my router from the outside internet times out.My WRT54G ver 6 is at firmware level 1.02.8, which, as far as I can tell is the latest issued by Cisco.I am completely perplexed how such a connection is being established, and do not know if it is or has the potential of causing any harm. My own research indicates port 520 is typically used for RIP protocol, but I have almost zero knowledge of such.

I am trying to use my WRT120n as access device for an IP Centrex service using SIP protocol. My SIP phone is located right behind the router. My problem is sometimes the router is dropping incoming calls because signalling packets are fragmented at IP level. So I cannot receive those calls. Is there a way to enable the router to accept these packets?

I have a WRT160N router (firmware 1.53.0) that is connected to my broadband. It is giving me problems with VOIP/SIP Traffic. My SIP client connects fine and makes calls, but I cant hear any incoming/outgoing sound. The SIP client works fine when connected directly to broadband. I tried DMZ and that didn't work. Disabled SPI and that didn't work too.

I've been fighting with my E2500 since I got it back in June with lag, dropped connections, etc. It's a bit intermittent but can hang around for hours at a time when it kicks in. Restarts but the issue always comes back. Most noticeable while gaming online or on a VOIP program such as Team Speak. Generally when it happens If I'm monitoring my Team Speak connection the incoming packet loss shoots up between 20-30%, starting to drop out every other word or so. No out going packet loss. The connection drops are random between computers (I have one mac and one pc in the house) where one will be fine and the other wont, or when the whole system will stay connected and drop all transfer. In the case of this last one it's not my ISP's connection as any streaming happening between one computer and an Apple TV device will also cease. I've also swapped back to my old router (an older model linksys) and all problems have stopped. Fully rebooted and reconfigured the router about 3 or 4 times and am on the latest version of firmware (1.0.003). It was much worse on 1.0.002 but still very noticeable on 003. Also no difference with a different wireless adapter. I've tried the chat technical support but all they did was take 45 minutes to tell me how to reboot my router after telling them I already had.

Have a few of these routers internally as well as at various clients. The incoming and outgoing logs show up blank, even when there are 10-20 computers using the Internet and I know there is traffic being generated. DHCP and security logging still works fine. I also have a few E1200s on the latest firmware that are logging just fine... I'm just having issues with the E2500s.

I can connect to my router but either way it seems like i can't get any internet access (both wireless and by cable): url...I have tried the steps that the linksys FAQ suggests shall fix this problem, but this has not worked. I have also tried to reset the router without any luck. I know it its not the modem that is causing the problem because I'm wired to it now.On the E2000 every light is blinking as it should be (hence the FAQ) so it indicates that there might be a problem with the connection between the router and the computer (tested on other computers too without success).

My internet cut out last week and after calling my ISP I found out it was in fact my router that was causing the problem (regular connection to PPOE works fine). I've only had my E2000 about 2-3 months and have not had any problems with it. I've restarted the router, done a factory reset, upgraded the firmware, renewed the IP and still I cannot get any connectivity. I can access the router UI fine and I get a response from pinging it and also I have tried replacing the cables but that didn't fix the problem either.

I'm using E2000 currently and meet a wireless connection problem. The speed can up to 300M bps. When I confiured the E2000 to band auto (20-40mhz) and my wireless network card to work at also auto (20-40) mode, it always down to 144M speed when connection.
If I changed some settings in E2000's wireless configuration, in the status sheet I can see it works at 40MHZ. But after a while,(5-10 mins) it automaticly down to 20MHZ and my labtop connect only got a 144M speed.
how can I deal with that to make it always keep at 300M connection? Note the previous router I used to connect to my lattop can always keep that speed.

I have a Linksys E2000.
It worked fine until one day, without any change at all, it simply stoped working. I mean, I can still connect through my wifi laptop connection (it shows connected to my router and says that I have an excelent signal). But, I can't reach the internet. But, If I unplug the internet cable, and plug it in my laptop, the connection works fine. A friend told me that this could be caused intentionally by the internet provider, that they would block my signal to avoid me using a wireless router, trying to force consumers to sign their own wireless service. Thus, by this friend advice, I've cloned my laptop's MAC address to the router. It didn't work either.
