How To Block Particulate Dns Ip Using NAT
Apr 28, 2011
I have configured win-2003 server as NAT server. For internet access we are using ip provided by vendor which have restrictions for unwanted and pornographic sites. Still users can get access to any site by changing their DNS ip. How to block all the DNS ip except the one provided by our vendor.

I need to run an ethernet cable of about 60ft from the mpoe to the server closet. The path is rather challenging to pull the cable through. I was told that I could utilize the 66 block in the mpoe and the other 66 block in the server closet to make this run. Is that really possible? Just punch down the 2 pairs?

I am learning to write ACL's along with a billion other Cisco things. The internet is not clear on how to do this exactly. At least in my research.
I have two host on the same subnet and I want to block all except RDP TCP port 3389 from one host to another.
I want to apply that Access-group to a switchport interface on my 3750 that belongs to the computer I want to protect from the other.
Host A: 10.1.1.10/24 -- I need to block all TCP and UDP traffic except for port 3389tcp
Host B: 10.1.1.60/24 -- I need to allow only TCP port 3389 from Host A to this one.
This is on the same switch so I can use an extended ACL like 101 or whatever.
This is almost starting to make sense to me but im still weak on extended ACL. I got basics down pretty well.

Here is the question,"If an ISP purchased the following block of IP addresses: 200.23.16.0/20, describe and/or diagram how they would be able to divide this block of IP adresses into 8 subnets for resale. What are the number of hosts for each subnet?"

I am very upset with my flat mates who are sharing the same flat, we all share the internet. The problem makes me suffer is some of them use bittorrent / p2p software to download something. When I talked to them, they lied and past to each other. I get bored with "problem soccer" like this.I am pretty sure because whenever they are not sleeping, I suffer the internet, even loading a google page is a big problem but we use 30Mb.When they are sleeping or away from flat, internet performs much much more faster..Can any one know how to block or slow down p2p software such as bittorrent?

To that end, I want it to be able to access my NAS disk, but not the Internet. Internet = annoying update messages (think Adobe), viruses, crap.I don't know if this is a setting that I can do in Win7 or in the DI-Link AirPlusG router thing
