I need to block sites in my network. I tried Proxy but they are overcoming using the option auto detect proxy settings. How can i restrict the access only through the proxy, Do I have to do anything with DNS server?

Now is there anyway to block certian websites to this IP only?can't with laptop but can with the ipod via facebook. I thought I read someplace that you can block sites to a users static ip or mac address. I haven't been able to find it in my router settings. Im using a netgear wnr2000v3.

I recently purchased an E-2500, but notice that in parental controls I can only block 6 or 8 websites. In my WRT54GS I could just create additional rules and they would work. But in this device I am limited on the sites that can be blocked per device. How I can block additional sites?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to block sites like facebook during my workday but allow the rest of the internet.
The attached settings block facebook as desired during the filter times but after 6:30pm the filter expires and the entire internet is blocked (not just facebook). All of my browsers act as if they are hanging and won't load pages until I disable the filter.
I've also tried creating two different filters (one at a time). The first allowed full internet access all the time and the second allowed access the opposite times of the work filter. But to no avail.
how do I block IP/Internet Adresses for ALL users without adding the sites manually per user in the Parental Control panel? I want to block a certain IP/internet adress for all users but can't find this feature within my EA6500 anywhere?Is this a firmware bug? View 1 Replies View RelatedMY ISP installed one router in my lab.for internet connectivity they mail me steps :connect your Laptop directly to gi0/3 port to check internet connectivity with public ip 1.1.1.x and Gateway 1.1.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.240 after connection I surprised because I am able to access only google sites like gmail,google search etc. but I am able to ping/traceroute all sites.from browser I am able to access only google sites only.In Router no firewall no such access list.

It says Hotmail is not responding.I can also not access Windows Update. When I search for updates it comes back with error 80072EE2. I also have problems accessing secure websites where I need to pay for something, e-Bay, paypal, make payments off Credit Cards etc.However I can access all websites on my iPhone over the same Wi-Fi. I took the same laptop to 2 other addresses and it works fine at both and able to access all webpages etc!I am running Windows 7 and have tried IE, Safari and Firefox, all with same problems. I am with o2 home broadband and have been with them for years with no problems. I have replaced the router, and have another new router on the way, but am expecting the same problems!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed a new router (DLink Dir-615) and it seems that certain sites will not render for me. They simply show up as blank pages, or they will attempt to load, flash a few times and end in a the site cannot be reached. However, if I am running Fiddler, all of the sites work. The issue also occurs with various components on certain sites, i.e., video. The videos either do not play or will continuously skip to the next clip when Fiddler is not running.
I am completely baffled as to why this is happening and is there some setting on my new router that I need to enable?
About a week ago my mom (unknowingly to me) installed a registry "booster" (Uniblue Registry Booster) and as expected, it messed some stuff up. As soon as she finished scanning and it "fixed" all her registry issues, she could no longer load webpages in her browser.PC was running XP at the time of the corruption, none of her system restore points work, and unfortunately her automatic backups had stopped running about 2 months ago without me knowing. She's been planning to switch to Windows 7 soon anyway so after a few days of trying to find a solution and not having any luck I thought "well maybe if we upgrade it will unintentionally fix some files / settings during the install." Going from XP to Windows 7 was no fun task itself, but after many hours of installs I had it upgraded to Vista and then to 7.

That device works great as I have tried my laptop with it and it works. I can connect to the internet as i have set u my router on my computer( the one that i took from my dorm) but only google loads, i can also search in google, and youtube loads where i can oddly watch videos no problem. I have tried reinstalling my ethernet drivers, winsock reset, checking/unchecking just about every setting in internet options and so on. No browser seems to work and I am out of ideas. I turned firewall off as well to no prevail. I have no clue where to look next as 3 days ago my computer worked fine and all I did now was move it.

Is there anyway to block a DDOS attack? I dont know to much about DDOS attacks and how they work, but i think i understand a little bit of it.
