Aug 16, 2011I have an wireless issue with my laptop (asus). It connects to my router (linksys WAG120N) but then won't connect to the internet. I have tried everything I can think of, including disabling all antivirus software, removing wireless network and allowing auto reinstall, obtaining DNS servers automatically, etc. I have checked the IP addresses with Linksys support and all indicators suggest that it should connect. My laptop does connect perfectly well when directly connected to the router via ethernet cable. Plus my iMac connects wirelessly to the router. I run XP sp 3 on the laptop.The wireless adapter is an Atheros AR5007EG, driver version 7.6.0.239.

That will result in conflict.If the firmware sorts the DHCP entries by ip addresses, user would be able to catch duplicate ip errors even if the system does not flag the errors. All Cisco smart engineers can you all get the dhcp entries SORT by ip addresses.

They simply show up as blank pages, or they will attempt to load, flash a few times and end in a the site cannot be reached. However, if I am running Fiddler, all of the sites work. The issue also occurs with various components on certain sites, i.e., video. The videos either do not play or will continuously skip to the next clip when Fiddler is not running.
I am completely baffled as to why this is happening and is there some setting on my new router that I need to enable?

May 9, 2011About a week ago my mom (unknowingly to me) installed a registry "booster" (Uniblue Registry Booster) and as expected, it messed some stuff up. As soon as she finished scanning and it "fixed" all her registry issues, she could no longer load webpages in her browser.PC was running XP at the time of the corruption, none of her system restore points work, and unfortunately her automatic backups had stopped running about 2 months ago without me knowing. She's been planning to switch to Windows 7 soon anyway so after a few days of trying to find a solution and not having any luck I thought "well maybe if we upgrade it will unintentionally fix some files / settings during the install." Going from XP to Windows 7 was no fun task itself, but after many hours of installs I had it upgraded to Vista and then to 7.

May 26, 2012So i just brought my computer home from my dorm where it was working fine. as it is in my rom now I bought the XAVB1004 from netgear to connect it from my room t the router in the computer room. That device works great as I have tried my laptop with it and it works. I can connect to the internet as i have set u my router on my computer( the one that i took from my dorm) but only google loads, i can also search in google, and youtube loads where i can oddly watch videos no problem. I have tried reinstalling my ethernet drivers, winsock reset, checking/unchecking just about every setting in internet options and so on. No browser seems to work and I am out of ideas. I turned firewall off as well to no prevail. I have no clue where to look next as 3 days ago my computer worked fine and all I did now was move it.
