windows update did its thing but as soon as it finished downloading and started installing my AVG anti-virus pop'd up requesting to move some files to "the vault", when that happened windows finished installing and asked my computer to restart, after it restarted i tried to go on AIM and Ventrilo (aka Vent), here's i knew something was wrong, I couldn't sign in to AIM all it said was "waiting for Network..." and Vent just simply said "unknown last ip address" I went to command prompt > ipconfig where it said connection-specific dns suffix it was blank, for ip address it still showed my ip same for subnet mask there was still some numbers but, for default gateway it was blank, thinking it must had something to do with the drivers window installed I did a system restore to two days ago, after it rebooted I thought I fixed it, I was able to sign on AIM as well as Vent even able to use google chrome and watch a friend stream on live on twitch tv, so calling it a night I shut down my PC and when to sleep, now to the title, woke up turned on PC got on AIM and Vent perfectly tried to play Maplestory (don't judge XD i grew up with that game) but it said I had to download the game, made sense to me I just got the game a last night but just did a system restore to 2 days before so I started downloading the game it would work for a few moments but then my internet would die and the same problem that I described would happen again, and the only way i could get my internet to work on my PC was to restart the computer?
I download drivers from Nvidia website it self so i did and it said my motherboard drivers were out of date, I downloaded the drivers and installed them, the Nvidia guid said it would uninstall the old drivers and restart the computer and install new drivers but, when the computer restarted it said something about there were other wizerd installings ? and press okay to minimize the prosses so I can close those, I tried but it did some kind of loop saying again that it would unistall and install after restarting and again like last time said there were other programs running, this time i clicked exit, I went back to Nvidia site to see if the drivers for the motherboard installed, the versions matched but the site did state "your drivers are up to date" like it normally would just asked if I wanted to down load the driver as if my motherboard was still out of date?

I tried a speed test to see what i was receiving it started at 100mb/s then it started to go down stopped for a sec then shot down to 10mb/s like this
When I am playing a game or watching a video on youtube or twitch it's fine streams with out needing to buffer only time i notice this is when i try to download some thing
When my Hp Desktop with Vista starts up,... the internet for everyone in the house goes out and the phones go out as well because our modem controls the internet and phone. The modem shows the DNS light blinking. When this Hp desktop is turned off I have internet and phone in the house. I just have no idea why the desktop turning on, causes the internet and phone to shut off...
I've got a Cisco DPC3825 modem that I also use as a wifi router. Conntected to it I have 4 eithernet cables:
1. From PC to Router
2. From another PC to router
3. From TV to router
4. From a Dlink Powerline Adapter to Router. It took me a while to figure this out but when I unplug all the eithernet cables and plug back in #1 and #2 (from above) the internet works. When I plug back in #3 and #4, the internet dies. Meaning, I am connected to the network but not the internet. I've reset the modem, changed SSID and restarted the PC many times but still can't figure out this issue.
My computer it connected to the internet wirelessly but i cant broswe the web or play video games online. I am an avid world of warcraft player but it tells me i cannot connect to the launcher. The laptops that connect to the same internet work just fine though. I have tried to connect through an ethernet cord with no luck.
I got new internet connection some days back (like 3-5 days ago), and since then, when I try download at night time when I'm sleeping, my internet disconnects me? I'm downloading with JDownloader by the way. I didn't get "new" internet, well.. I basically did, but yeah... This is how I got "new" internet.I used to have same ISP, but it was 24mb internet, and gave just 12mb to be honest, so I got 100mb instead. But since I got this 100mb internet connection, it disconnects me at night time, I don't know why. I've tryed to lock my PC as I download, I've tryed to keep completely on the whole PC, but still no. Always disconnected when I wake up.
Is there something I could do about it? When I had the old 24mb internet, it didn't disconnect me really... never. Just once in a while, like once in month or something but that ain't much. Is there something I could do?My download speed, it should give me 8-12mb/s (I'm not sure though), and I can't do speedtest.net thing right now because I'm downloading at daytime then instead of night time, because I can't download at night time... But yeah, my download keeps jumping from 500kb/s to 12MB/s (12 mb/s is more true than 500kb/s), shouldn't it give me the full speed all the time? Or keep it above 6mb/s anyways? Not like 500kb/s - 5mb/s that it usually is. There's just 1 LAPTOP (I'm using wires, PC you know) connected on this very same internet too, but it's wireless. It keeps jumping, either somebody uses the laptop or not, it doesn't matter

Recently, whenever I download something my internet will just crash for a second, I think it may be realted to my router because the internet light on my router changes from the connected state (solid blue) to the connecting state (flashing orange) at the same time. The router I use is a belkin router and I have access to its gateway using my internet browser. recently reformatted my c drive to fix a bsod on this pc, before this reformat this problem did not exist.
Whenever I try to download anything with my computer, my Internet stops working and I must restart my computer in order to get it back. This only happens with my computer, since others in the house dont have the same issue. As strange as it may seem, this doesnt happen with Bittorrent. Only with regular downloads.
Whenever I download from µTorrent, Steam, or Firefox, on any computer in the network, I can't access the internet through a browser.Skype, MSN, and Steam still work, however.I've randomized µTorrent's ports multiple times, but nothing's working. As well, I have tried disabling all firewalls on both systems, but with no luck.
I'm having a issue where my internet will disconnect in middle of download and reconnect in like 10sec. I know its my computer cuz i can play on xbox live no problem all day. I'm running wireless it does not matter I can be wired and it will still do it. It does it while Skype, youtube downloading a file anything that requires a download and its very annoying. Its been doing it for months now and I don't remember when it started. It's not just here I took it to my parents house still did it. So i know its not my route
I bought a new linksys router. Set it up and now when I am downloading something and surfing the web I can't connect to websites (DNS lookup fails). However, the download continues fine. This problem seems to be isolated to my Mac, as the other computer in the house work fine. Qos is disabled.
Recently, I've been having some problems trying to play a couple games coded in Java, such as MineCraft. Every time the game loads, my internet immediately disconnects. There isn't any error dialogue or message, it simply disconnects me.Sometimes, I am able to stay on my internet connection and play the game for a short while, but most of the time, it disconnects me. I am on a wireless connection, with a router running the custom DD-WRT firmware.
Whenever playing a game on my laptop such as WOW or EvE online my wireless internet will disconnect. I have a button on my keyboard that turns my wireless on and off like many laptops do, and when playing these games after a couple minutes it will be turned off and I need to restart my computer to be able to get my wireless working again. This must be a problem with my computer and not the internet itself because I'm on campus and I see many other people playing games here.
whenever i try to download anything it currupts all the files its nothing to do with RAM or virus or malware as ive had 5 other peoples laptops in my hiouse and it only does it while connected to my internet as theres works perfect else where and ive just been out and bought an o2 dongle and it works fine downloads everything perfect.this ios the errors i get when trying to install winrar:
Extracting files to "C:Program FilesWinRAR" folder CRC failed in WinRAR.exe CRC failed in Formats7zxa.dll CRC failed in RarExt.dll CRC failed in RarExt64.dll
I haven't been able to get a decent answer to no matter how much googling etc I do. We have a problem in our flat where any time someone downloads something everyone else in the flat loses access to the internet until that person finishes their download or stops it. We are all accessing the internet through the same router, 3 of us wirelessly and 1 wired. The computers which are for some reason blocked by the other person downloading can't even access the router to do a reset or work out whats happening. [URL] gives our download speed as 14.80Mbps which isn't great but okay for good old NZ.Why would it be that 1 person downloading is preventing the others from accessing the net, do some downloads somehow take full control of all the available bandwidth ?.And is there any way to make it so that it doesn't happen, like make it so no computer can use all the bandwidth at a time ?, ie my flatmate can download his whatever but I can still send emails etc at the same time.
i bought a new computer....just for gaming....bout a 1500 big ones...and its internet speed is terrible...its the computer..on internet browsers (firefox, Internet explorer, Chrome) i get like 10-20 Kilos a second...but once im in game....the internet works perfect battlefield....FLAWLESS ping....like 32..
I am having a lot of trouble with my internet, and have been for the past 2 days. I cannot play any games or even use the internet to browse 99% of the time. The only time I can get it to work for about 5 minutes is like so; I open internet explorer and after a few minutes of loading it tells me that it cannot connect to the web page (or something like that). It has a troubleshoot option, after clicking it, it scans for possible solutions but it never finds anything. When it tells me it found nothing, there is another button to explore additional options, the instant I click this button, everything starts working again for a few minutes, and it just doesn't make sense to me why this is happening.I have to study and I need the internet, and I would like to play games again.
my internet is being slow. It 'uplink' speed is 7mbps. when downloading or just surfing the internet 'task manager' says that the computer is using below 5% of the internet's speed capasity. it never gets higher than this, is there any way to change this so that i can us the full potential of the internets speed.
Currently im on a 60mb download speed and 6mb upload speed on an Alienware M15x (Windows 7) and attempting to re-download World of Warcraft... Every time I open World of Warcraft to continue the download it will disconnect all sources from the router (I'm downloading via wireless) including the wired connection through the computer in the other room. Its really annoying everyone when were attempting to download and disconnects people...
I am trying to open up certain ports to host multiplayer games on the internet on my computer and on Xbox 360.The only internet service provider is primecast. I am able to open the ports on my router but the ports still show closed using portforward.com portchecker. I disabled all firewalls and Anti-Virus, no luck. I even connected my computer directly to the modem, the ports are still closed. The Router is a Linksys WRT400N set to single band. The modem is an Alcatel although there is no model number (it has a fiber optic connection, coax connection and 2 ethernet port connections). The condo is cat 5 ready so the router has multiple ethernet cables which go to the ethernet wall plugs throughout the apartment which is how I connect to my desktop.
FYI:One of the games I am trying to play online IL2 1946, people simply cannot connect. In another game Company of Heroes, people cannot connect and I cannot connect to most games it says there is a NAT issue when connecting.
PS When I go into ipconfig I now see IPv4 and IPv6, I don't know if that has something to do with it but to my knowledge these sections were not here previously (before I moved).

My computer has started acting really weird. My internet connection is fine except when I try to play a game online I'll be on for a few seconds and then the connection shuts down. Not just for the game but for everything. When I used windows troubleshoot it had these errors."the connection between your access point router or cable modem and the internet is broken default gateway is not available: detected" and"the default gateway is not available:fixed"After I do that I have a connection again but the same thing happens when I play another game.I have tried updating my drivers, scanning for malware of all sorts, registry cleaning, and I even reformatted.
My internet connection keeps freezing when I'm trying to play Diablo 3. I can't connect directly to the modem because it's my roommates internet and it's connected to her computer so my only option is wireless or to connect directly via adapter that goes through the power outlets in the house. It's getting very annoying skipping around and it's almost impossible to play diablo 3 with this lag. I notice I drop a lot of packets when pinging to the diablo 3 server and I don't know why.
i want to know suppose i have two internet connection and i want to merge both connection ...one of my friend told mi yes it is possible but you need router ...so is it possible
I'v been getting this strange problem. Each 5-10 minutes my internet restarts,it basically shut downs for 20 sec and then reapears, its really annoying because videos take 1 year to load,i cant play any multiplayer games because i get kicked every 5 mins and i cant talk on skype because call crashes each 5 mins.I am using a linksys router.
I have a wire ADSL connection and I use ADSL WiFi enabled router for distribute my internet connection with in my other devices (on my home network). When I downloading large files (more than 30MB) over the internet using my WiFi connection, my connection drop several times. However if I exchange large files within my WiFi network (with in home network via WiFi), my WiFi connection not drop (I can exchange 6GB files without any issue). Why is that? Is it my router issue or my ADSL connection issue? Most of the time after I lost internet connection, i can see my WiFi connectivity standby, it's not disconnect. However some time it completely disconnect. After I lost the connection (standby or completely disconnected) it again automatically connect.
I face this issue if i download large files on the internet, via the WiFi, if i download large files on internet using Ethernet cable, my connection not drop, it's stable. I use default wireless settings on my router? I use open WiFi connection.
I'm having trouble with my internet the past few days, I'm connected to the internet via wifi and after browsing some minutes it will tell me unable to connect (using firefox and other explorers). In order to continue browsing I must refresh the page several times and it will load without pictures.I'm using win7 home premium and it's the only computer that presents this issue. I've tried pluging the computer directly to the router, but it gives me the same results. Also, I've scanned the computer for malware with MCafee, but it shows nothing.
I set up the e1500 and everything worked well, my download speed over the wifi was something like 50mps, now its down to .3 mps over the wifi. When I'm hardwired to the router the speed goes back up and everything is fine. The only problem is the wifi. Its not the ISP because my roommates aren't having a problem with their wifi at all. I haven't changed anything on my computer except updated some drivers since I set up the router. My network card drivers are up to date and so is the router's drivers. I'm also doing all this about 5 feet away from the router.
Have problem with both of my wag120n routers. I setup remote access, from the intranet it works fine. But from internet instead of showing me the page it starts downloading it. Instead of home page trying to save ¨download¨, if i put a long link like xxx.com/setup.cgi?=etc then it tryes to save ¨setup.cgi¨. All fileas are empty, 7kbytes.
In 802.1x I am having an issue where the computers un-authenticate if you remote desktop to them (they are signed in with the same domain account that is being used to remote connect with).
Any of ya'll out there that have done 802.1x run into this issue before?
