Internet Status Says Its Working But Computer Has No Internet

When I look at the "network and sharing" page it saying that I'm connected same goes for the "Wireless Network Connection Status" page (which says "internet" in the "IPv4 connectivity" and "no internet access" in the "IPv6 connectivity"). But when the computer has to update It'll say "no internet access" and when i go on Internet Explorer it won't say anything instead the green loading bar on the bottom of the page will be stuck in the middle.
I am having trouble keeping my computer connected to the internet...even though it says my signal strength from my wireless internet is excellent. every time i get online i put in my url and it loads the page but if i click on anything on that page it asks me to connect again even though my computer says im still connected.
My Dell laptop, iPhone, and iPad can all connect to my wireless internet. Recently my desktop showed "Connected" with strong signal strength but "No Internet access" and I haven't been able to connect since. I've run a complete virus scan (Mcafee) and nothing was found. I've done the reboot of the router, modem and computer, waiting 30 seconds, etc. with no success. But since the other devices can connect I have to assume it's something with the desktop
so I have this problem, the internet only work on one computer, whenever I connect to another computer it says something like: " Can't connect to IP 2, 3, 4 etc. I've tried resetting the modem, router and everything, it didn't work... Sooo, if I connect the same internet cable that's working on the computer to another one it doesen't work. What sholuld I do??, maybe change some settings in the router?
I recently deleted an account off of my computer, it was just the account I didn't use that had no password, it was not the admin or administrator account. So I deleted it, and went to bed, I woke up the next day and my computer was just finishing installing an update, after it restarted my internet does not work and it has the yellow caution triangle over top. I troubleshooted, and got the message "windows could not automatically detect proxy settings"When I open network and sharing center it would say "identifying" forever and not identify I guess.The weird thing is, my sisters computer and my old computer can connect to the internet fine. I tried bringing my computer next to the router/modem(not sure of the difference) and i plugged the ethernet cord directly into the modem/router into my computer, and it's the same thing. The most annoying thing is that i cannot do a system restore as i have not set it up before hand.(yes i know that is a very novice mistake
I ran driver verifier and when I rebooted for it to start verifying the Internet didn't work. I thought it was a driver verifier problem so I turned off it and I still had the Internet problem. I tried going back using system restore and I still have the problem. Screen shots are attached.
I have multiple laptops and a PC in my house all connected to Verizon's wireless/wired modem/router.My laptop's bandwidth ranges from 7-20 Mbps, while the desktop cannot seem to rise about 1 or 2. The wireless card for the desktop was a USB Wireless G adapter, in the process of trying to figure out the problem, i replaced it with a b/g/n PCI card. This did NOT resolve my problem. So in a fit of desperation, I reformatted the Desktop, and Restored the modem/router to factory defaults (in that order) neither worked.
I recently bought a new laptop (Asus U47VC) and i am having internet connection issues. When I am at my mother's place or at school, I have no problem connecting to the internet wirelessly. However, at my father's place, my internet stops working every couple hours and will be unable to connect to the network until i reset the router and modem. Once the reset is complete, I am good for another couple hours. All the other devices ( laptops, iphones, etc.) do not have this problem and the connection is never an issue. I have read that this could possibly be a problem regarding IP addresses but I do not quite understand how to fix this.
The past few days, I've been unable to access our CCTV feed online and the technician says that the reason we are having this issue is because my Internet IP Address in the Linksys Status Page (100.85.xxx.xx) is different from the IP Address in IP Chicken 110.55.xxx.xxThe CCTV technician is passing on the blame to our ISP while the ISP is passing it to the CCTV technician.
So I'm trying to fix gateway laptop running Vista. The computer can connect both wired and wirelessly to the internet just fine. Sadly that's all it does. It doesn't let you use IE/Firefox/Skype or video games or anything. Every program acts like you're not connected. All signs seem to point towards it working just fine. I'm at a loss and can't figure out what's wrong with it.
Also, the internet works just fine if you start in safe mode with networking. You can use IE/Firefox just fine. I've tried turning off proxies and such but there aren't any as far as I can tell.
I have an older rev a DIR-655 that has served me well. Today I finally upgraded my ISP to cable (from a slower DLS connection) to get reasonable speed/price All is working very well but unlike my old DSL modem the internet status light on the DIR-655 blinks very rapidly all the time instead of when traffic is passed.The new modem is a Motorola SB6141,I am running the latest firmware 1.35NA I went through a complete re-setup to see if that would calm the light but no dice there. (the settings arrived at were basically the same for the old Sprint modem) ,Is there something I am missing or is it time to retire the old DIR-655 for something more current.
I am connected to my network wirelessly and I have Internet acces (according to the symbol at the bottom right) bu the Internet doesn't work. At the moment it keeps fluctuating between giving me interne and not I am using Skype to tell me if I have Internet ( when it's green I do when it's grey I don't) I have tried many things on forums like obtaining ip automatically or obtaining a fixed ip. I've tried renewing the ip and all this doesnt work.
I am with Virgin media (UK) and have the 20mbps fiber optic connection. My area has recently been having problems with the broadband and Virgin has recently fixed these problems. However I used to get around 19mbps now that the problem is fixed my computer which is wired to the router gets about 0.4mbps downstream... However the 5 wireless computers all get 16mbps which is pretty good for them. Windows tells me that its a firewall issue and I currently can't use two programs, spotify and steam. They both have firewall issues, even if I turn off my firewall which is the windows one. I also have avast, and when I turn that off, still no good. I used OpenDNS, stopped using that flushed my DNS, that didnt work. I tried to optimize my computer settings, by changing various values in Regedit.All of this has done nothing. I should add that I have recently re-installed Windows 7 so on this fresh install it has never had decent internet speed. Which I thought was weird.. I have basically had these problems since the fresh install. All of my drivers are up to date.
I have recently installed 4 3560 (WS-C3560X-48T-S) Switches. At first the switch comes up, indicating all connected ports with a green LED. Whenever i unplug a cable and plug it back in, the status LED will stay off. The same thing happens when I push the mode button and cycle throgh the different modes, i lose certain LEDs.
I'm using 12.2(53)SE2, another user reported the same issues under 12.2(55)SE1 .
I am trying to setup my E4200 to my new Cable Modem. I followed all of the procedures. I get Internet access when plugged directly to modem. I cloned the MAC Address and the Stus of the Router displays my current IP's (so I should have Internet). However, when I plug my computer into the Router I get no internet access.
I would like to get the temperature status from this 2960 switch (and several other models. Normally this OID should be:.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.6 But it does not return anything.
The termperature status can be found from the command line by running:"sh env temp" This reports back ok, so I assume there is a temperate gauge in the switch.
This oid is part of the "CISCO-ENVMON-MIB" mib and accouding to the Cisco MIB selector it is supported on my switch and IOS - 12.2(25).
(Another thing I woudl like to monitor and should be supported is the fan status oid (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3). That doesn't return anything either.
What do I need to do to get the temperature environment status from SNMP query?
So I bought a new computer an Acer AX34703-ESTOP I don't know if that sais anything but anyways I was trying to connect to my internet which who would be listed and works fine on all my other products but my internet has a password and when I would click on it while listed it would say : Windows Was unable to connect to ..... Network and it would'nt even ask for my password
I have a desktop computer that as of last night worked with the internest. This morning it did not. I have a home network. I also have laptops connected to a wireless router and they have no problem getting into the internet. Not sure waht to do. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.
I am setting up two identical workstations at the company I work for. They are both brand new HP computers running Windows 7 64 bit. I set up one computer fine and added it to our domain. I tried connected the second computer and I can add it to the domain but for some reason it says "No Internet Access". I can ping our server and anything else on the network, but any website I try won't come up.
Most of the related issues I've searched for were all viruses but since this is brand new and has never been online that is not the case...unless an HP tech decided to play a cruel joke of course!
Could it be the network card? I didn't think so since it connects locally but who knows. I also disabled and enabled, took our sonicwall down and tried to obtain settings automatically, nothing works!
the internet connection to my computer was fine. Nothing wrong with it at all. I turned my computer off and went to bed. When I woke up the next day morning and turned my computer on, there was no internet connection. I turned my computer back off and went to school.I tried unplugging and plugging the Ethernet cable back in, but it will no longer connect with the Ethernet cable. I have managed to get it to work wire lessly.
i have an Computer running an Epos system with a wired network to four tills (four tills into a switcher unit then one lead into the computer) I also have an office network with four computers conected to the internet through a wired netgear router. Can any tell me how to get the epos computer on the internet while still seeing all four tills (Epos computer only has one ethernet port)
My computer will not connect to the internet, it was working fine then all of the sudden disconnected, I have tried all the basic things like restarting the modem and using a different Ethernet, but none of those worked, so I am convinced that the problem is with the computer itself. I have it set up so that my netbook(which I am using right now) is wirelessly connected to the internet, and I have a ethernet cable going from the netbook to my desktop, giving the desktop internet(until it had this connection problem). I am using windows xp professional, and I have spent a lot of time browsing to try and fix the problem, but so far it is to no avail. First I'll start by saying when i try to repair the connection it comes up with the message " the following steps of the repair operation failed: renewing the IP address" I tried using ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew, but when I do this it says "an error occured while renewing interface local area connection: unable to contact you DHCP server. request has timed out" when I type in "ipcofig" it says my IP address is 169.254.xxx.xx, after researching more i found out that this is bad, but when i try to renew to get rid of it it gives me the "unable to contact DHCP" message. I even tried reformatting with a different windows disc but the connection problem still persists.
Have tried resetting my DNS and have checked my firewalls, I do not know what is going on. I do not have another comp to copy and paste my info from the cmd. Ive also gone into settings and made sure it is automatically picking up the dns. When i go onto my google chrome is says my dns look up failed.
I haven't had a problem with the internet until today, i was on the computer earlier in the morning using the internet took a break and just logged back on now and my internet provider (if thats what you call it) isnt being picked up on my computer, but the internet is working on my laptop and parents laptops.My computer is picking up a few other internet providers to connect to but just not mine.
This is a friend's computer, who bought it yesterday Acer desktop Windows 7 premium 64 bit. He asked me for assistance in setting it up, and I did that . IE8 and Mozilla Firefox were working. Later in the evening, he called and said that his computer had no internet access, though the laptop he had was working. This morning, I wnet to his place, reset the model and the router, and it was working fine. He called now and said that it is not working again. The service provider did not find any fault with the connection.
I just got windows xp 64 for my computer and completely restarted/rebooted it. (started from scratch) It successfully downloaded but I have no internet connection. I have another computer plugged into my netgear box and it works perfectly fine. I checked and made sure everything was plugged in right and restarted my netgear thing but it did not work. There is no packets coming in or out of it connection but it recognizes that I at least have something plugged in.
I have a computer with D-Link wireless router, and have set up another computer in the house a long way from the router, what do I have to do to get an internet contection on the new site ?
