Laptop Wireless Connection To Xbox360?

Jan 3, 2011

I am using a HP laptop and its wireless connection is coming from my schools Wireless service which requires a ID and password each time you connect. I would like to funnel this wireless connection to my xbox 360 via a ethernet cord.Ive researched this a bit and found plenty guides but nothing has worked for me. I saw this in a previous post"Bridging two network connections:1. Make sure the secondary connection has DHCP enabled.. Open the Network Connections folder from the Start Menu, Settings.3. Select the first connection to be used in the bridge and highlight it by left clicking on it.4. Holding the Ctrl key, select the second connection to be used in the bridge by left clicking on it.5. Right click on one of the two highlighted connections and select Bridge Connections."

Linksys Wireless Router :: EA6500 Choppy Video Stream To Xbox360

Dec 13, 2012

I've been viewing some videos streamed through the EA6500 from a Qnap 419p II NAS, and several video files are playing back extremely choppy.I can confirm that the video files play fine on the Xbox360 using a USB key and have also previously streamed these videos without any problems using a Belkin Wireless Pre-N router (that I upgraded from) streamed from the same NAS.I've attempted to configure the Media Prioritization feature, but haven't noticed any different results. I have also adjusted other various settings that haven't affected the playback in any way.

My only guess is that some of the files are encoded in a format that the router is struggling with - the video files are not HD videos, and their bitrates are generally quite low - if my old Belkin router can do it, the EA6500 shouldn't have any problems either.

Xbox360 / Accessing Internet Through Coax?

Oct 29, 2011

i'm trying to connect my xbox360 to the internet. I'm upstairs, my modem and router are downstairs. I'd prefer not to have to get a wireless adaptor for my xbox, but if that's the only way, i'll settle with that.We have Comporium internet. I can get cable if I hook a cable box up to the coax port in the wall upstairs. I have been looking at coax to ethernet adaptors, hoping I could go from the coax in the wall, to the adaptor, right into the back of the xbox. Is this possible?

D-Link DIR-825 :: Get 2 Xbox360 On Permanent Open NAT Status?

Oct 21, 2011

I have had this router for a while now and I have been experiencing these problems for forever. I can't seem to have two Xbox360's stay on OPEN NAT type permanently. I have tried port forwarding both xbox's, just my xbox, just my dad's xbox etc.. I have tried DMZ on one with or without the other on Port Forwarding. I have turned UPNP on I have it so the filtering is set to endpoint independent . I have tried without . I have even tried port triggering today. I have manually set static ip addresses on both the xbox and the router. I even have the most recently upgraded firmware. Now... How do I get TWO Xbox 360's on OPEN NAT ? Gateway Laptop Wireless Connection?

My dad was just diagnosed with Leukemia and as a business owner in the hospital, I am trying to set him up a connection to his work and email. I am currently trying to test this old computer out at our office to make sure everything will work before I take it up to his hospital room. The computer is a Gateway with a model number of 450ROG and I see a small panel in the back that reads "fitted with intel WM3B2100 802.11B Wireless Lan Card".

Wireless Connection On Laptop Keeps Disconnecting?

Jul 14, 2012

My wireless connection on my laptop keeps disconnecting. It seems like it disconnects every 5-10 minutes. I know it's not my router because my cousin came over and had zero problems with his wireless connection. I have to reset my laptop at least once a day because it decides there are no wireless connections and I can no longer right click it if this happens. Every once and a while I'll just have to unplug my router and plus it back in to fix the problem if trouble shooting wont work.

Wireless Laptop Connection Keeps Dropping?

Aug 11, 2011

But i can still navigate around on a computer. So i have a gateway laptop, and a cisco router in my parent bedroom. They have computer's connected into it with a wired connection. My laptop is a wireless one. The connection will drop roughly 10 times a day. And the odd thing is , to get the connection to show back up on my wireless connection lists, i need to restart the router or it doesnt show. Its not a problem with signal strength, and obviously no problem with the router as my parent's stay connected during this. I called my ISP, they told me to call gateway. I did , and after that, i will never in my life associate with anything gateway ever, ever , again. I'm sure its a setting or software issue

Laptop Losing Wireless Connection?

May 30, 2012

So my boyfriend and I just moved and, after struggling with our old wireless router we haven't used in years (pretty sure it was dead), we bought a whole new one in the hopes that starting from scratch would be simpler. It's a Netgear and we were aiming to hook up three devices through it; my laptop, his computer, and our Xbox 360.

He hooked it up no problem and we were using wifi for our computers and one ethernet cable through the router into the Xbox, peach as pie... Except my Toshiba laptop decided to rebel and allow me to use the internet for about five minutes before claiming there's "no internet." The signal says excellent and the little alert symbol keeps appearing and disappearing, but no pages will load. I tried running troubleshooting, but it couldn't identify the problem. Shutting down my laptop and turning it back on seems to be the only way to get it going again for another five minutes until the cycle continues.

DIR-635 - Laptop Wireless Connection Unstable

Jul 10, 2011

So my issue has been going on for a while now a while after I replaced the router from a DIR-535(If I recall) to a DIR-635. Now the problem resides in my computer however as it would seem that I randomly tend to loose internet acces and it only applies to my computer in the form of obviously loss of internet and the horrid warning triangel in the corner. I've tried removing and restarting the connection without any succes, I also tried to do a ipconfig /release /flushdns and /renew but it didnt seem to do anything either, basically been throwing attempts at a wall to see what works.

As far as the actual card goes it's a Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter.

Wireless On Laptop Works On One Connection And Not Another?

May 9, 2012

It pretty much just stopped working one day. I have reset my router completely. I have tried the netsh commands. I have tried using different dns ip addresses. I have released and renewed ipconfig. I have reset both my cable modem and my wireless router. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the wireless drivers and made sure they were up to date. None of these things worked.

Here is the story. My laptop will not connect to the internet even though it says it is connected and shows the SSID when you hover over the wireless on the bottom. I have an iPad, iPhone, and another laptop connected to this exact wireless connection. The laptop that does not connect (the one i am having problems with) recently connected to another home wireless network this past weekend in another house so it is not the card in the laptop. It seems to be settings in this particular laptop with just this wireless connection as the wired connection using the same router works just fine. It DOES NOT time out when I ping websites in the command prompt. I get returned values. I have tried several browsers and none of them work. It will not connect to AIM either. I have spent many hours trying to figure out what the hell has changed and why this connection won't work. I really need this connection for work.

Laptop Not Connecting To Wireless Connection?

Jul 11, 2012

When I try to connect to the internet via a wireless connection, I select the connection I want and it says it's connected.

However when I go to the wireless connection properties it is sending but not receiving and it won't connect to the internet. I went to the CMD and typed in IPCONFIG and get the message saying my "Media Not Connected."

I have pushed the green button on the router so my laptop can pick up the settings but it still won't connect. Also, I took my laptop to my friends house and was able to connect on their wireless.

I am on Windows Vista.

Laptop Cannot Find Wireless Connection Without Restarting?

Sep 24, 2012

This is a Sony Vaio E series laptop running Windows 7 that I've had for close to a year now. The problem began about two days ago with the wireless connection getting dropped randomly (no signals found). The first few times it happened I ran Troubleshoot and it fixed itself, and picked the connection back up. Yesterday when it happened again the troubleshoot failed. I check my router connections, reset it a few times, checked my other computer's connections (all fine) then finally tried restarting the laptop. When it came back up it connected to the internet again. This has since happened three times, and each time I have to completely restart the laptop to get the wireless signal back.

Laptop Wireless - Connection Not Remains Connected

Apr 28, 2012

It's been working absolutely fine for me for nearly two years and all of a sudden it doesn't want to connect anymore. When I turn it on it will connect to the wireless network and stay connected for five minutes tops before disconnecting. Sometimes the wireless network is still being detected, sometimes not, but when I click on it to reconnect it rarely does (and when it does, it will sure enough disconnect again in no time). All other devices in the house stay connected and work fine; it is only my laptop that has issues. I took my laptop to another house and it has the exact same issues so it's definitely the laptop itself and not the routers.I live in Pakistan and my broadband provider for this household is Wi-Tribe. I don't know the type of broadband it is. I have no Anti-Virus apart from Microsoft Security Essentials.
