View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a HP laptop and its wireless connection is coming from my schools Wireless service which requires a ID and password each time you connect. I would like to funnel this wireless connection to my xbox 360 via a ethernet cord.Ive researched this a bit and found plenty guides but nothing has worked for me. I saw this in a previous post"Bridging two network connections:1. Make sure the secondary connection has DHCP enabled.. Open the Network Connections folder from the Start Menu, Settings.3. Select the first connection to be used in the bridge and highlight it by left clicking on it.4. Holding the Ctrl key, select the second connection to be used in the bridge by left clicking on it.5. Right click on one of the two highlighted connections and select Bridge Connections."
View 14 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to connect my xbox360 to the internet. I'm upstairs, my modem and router are downstairs. I'd prefer not to have to get a wireless adaptor for my xbox, but if that's the only way, i'll settle with that.We have Comporium internet. I can get cable if I hook a cable box up to the coax port in the wall upstairs. I have been looking at coax to ethernet adaptors, hoping I could go from the coax in the wall, to the adaptor, right into the back of the xbox. Is this possible?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't find the third computer on my network. All the computers connect to the internet but only the two XP computers show up via my network places. I try to setup an office network on all of the computers to see if it works. I can still only get the XP computers to connect. My main goal is to be able to create a private network to share files between the 3 computers. This is for a small office in a corporate building so it has to be private. The third computer is running on Vista which I don't know how to use at all as I only have win7/xp at my house.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo recently I moved my modem (DLS Gateway) from one room to another. In doing this I unplugged the Ethernet from one computer and plug it into a new one. There isn't a problem with the new computer being wired, but the one that used to be wired won't find my wireless at all. It won't even find other networks it just keeps saying that it's not plugged in to the Ethernet. My question is how do I get the computer so that it can find wireless networks.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy laptop is a Toshiba Satellite, and two days ago it was connecting to the wireless internet just fine. Then it spontaneously disconnected. I went to re-connect and it told me there were no wireless networks in the area at all. I know there are at least 15 in our area my laptop picks up. It was not dropped or shaken in any way, so it is not a hardware problem, I don't think. Hardlining it failed; it said it was connected to "unknown network" and could not connect to the internet.
