It has worked quiet well with internet connection for about a week.now from the last three days,network is not connecting even in lan and wireless connection I have tried the same lan connection with other desktop.It is working in that computer when troubleshooted,it is showing message as local area connection doesn't have valid ip configuration I have tried disabling the ip6 and only enabling ip4,but of no use when ping is run,it is showing as general failure?

Nov 27, 2011My computer (running windows XP and connected to the internet with a D Link USB adapter) refuses to load any webpages: despite showing full signal strength and connection in both the D Link settings and the windows XP wireless panel.I am able to ping websites and other computers in the house (all of which are able to access the internet) but no pages load in any browser I try.

I turned it on today and it automatically connected to my home network as usual and when I hover over the network icon it says there is Internet Access but when I open Firefox it can not connect to any websites. When I run the automatic troubleshooter, it does not detect any problems with the connectivity.

Facebook And Yahoo Load Only Text On The Left Side Of The Page And Internet Is Slow?
Oct 23, 2011I turned on my PC and started using Facebook normally, it was a bit slower than usual and then suddenly, it didn't load anymore. I tried more than once, but then it started loading only text on the left side of the page and I couldn't use it practically. This happened also with Yahoo, but I didn't see it happening with some other websites, they work totally normally.I stress I have tried clearing the whole cache and history of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, system restore, check of sfc.exe, creation of new user account, running of an Ubuntu LIVE CD, uninstallation of all browsers and installation of the latest versions once again, changing of the MTU to 1500, turning off my router and antenna but unfortunately nothing has worked till now.What wonders me is that Facebook works normally on my laptop which uses wireless connection provided by the same router and antenna.

Now my Acer will not load Internet Explorer.Once I gave the network logon and passkey on the wi-fi network on this computer, the Acer tells me I have connectivity and very strong signal, but IE will not load.I connected the wi-fi router direct to the Acer and again connectivity is strong but IE will not load.I direct connected cable internet to the Acer and again connectivity is there but IE will not load.I know if I re-do the security and put no-security on the network it will probably work but I really don't want to do that.

Nov 30, 2011my laptop when I'm on any web browser (Chrome, IE, Firefox, etc.) it will say I'm not connected to the internet and stay that way for a minute. Any downloads and stuff I have going still download though and it shos that I am still connected to the internet with excellent strength. This happens with both wireless and Ethernet connection. The only way I can fix it is by disconnecting form the internet and connecting again, even that though only works for like 20 seconds and then it says I'm disconnected again and I have to disconnect and reconnect again.
I don't think its internet connection point either because all my friends and school laptops and desktops have no problems connecting and don't disconnect.

However, the STB services port (range of 27161-27192) will not connect through my router (linksys E4200) automatically or manually (Dtv error code 301). By connecting the receiver directly to my modem, the STB services port will connect as it should. I also have a XB360 (LAN), BluRay Player (LAN), two PCs, & Wireless Bridge connected with absolutely no issues. Each are manually configured with a static IP and the proper ports forwarded.I am STUMPED and FRUSTRATED to say the least.Other than the manual setup of these devices, my networking knowledge is not very broad.Are there any settings or configurations that I may be overlooking?The uPnP is enabled, NAT is enabled, and all firewalls are turned off.

Dec 25, 2011I am having Inspiron N4010 for almost an year now. I have had many troubles with this but never with internet connectivity. Last week I saw myself not being able to be connected to internet through wireless or wired network while everybody else was connected and surfing. I just thought it to be a small problem and the problem seemed resolved that very day itself on its own.
But today this computer has simply failed to get connected. it does get connected, open a page or two and then again refuses to connect. On the problem diagnoses from network sharing center, it was showing that the websites are not responding, then it started showing that DNS server was not responding while all my setting are correctly configured. I pinged gateway and it responds but on pinging some website there is no response at all. It s a problem with my laptop only as everybody else are using internet very well. I am using internet through my WiFi enabled cell phone using the same connection and router that i use for my laptop. I need an urgent solutions as I have to meet some deadlines regarding assignments.

Mar 24, 2012I have an inspiron, with an Intel Centrioun Wireless-N 1030, that I purchased new just two months ago. I just recently starting having trouble with the wireless internet connection. I am able to connect 95% of the time, but then I cannot load one page. Occasionally, it will speed up and I have a good connection for a few minutes, but then I lose it again. It happens on battery or cord, with two different networks (one large school network and my home network). It doesn't happen if I am on a land/wired connection. The two other computers in my house, two and four years old, are having no trouble with the wireless connections. I have been using the current modem at my house since i bought the computer. Today, we reset the modem to factory settings, with no change. We also did several ping tests and had a 9% failure rate pinging th modem. I have also changed it to run at max power all the time and disabled the option to turn off when lower power, with no change. I have also attempted to update the driver through the device manager.

Home Network :: XAVB1004 - Have Internet Connection But Only 2 Sites Actually Load
May 26, 2012So i just brought my computer home from my dorm where it was working fine. as it is in my rom now I bought the XAVB1004 from netgear to connect it from my room t the router in the computer room. That device works great as I have tried my laptop with it and it works. I can connect to the internet as i have set u my router on my computer( the one that i took from my dorm) but only google loads, i can also search in google, and youtube loads where i can oddly watch videos no problem. I have tried reinstalling my ethernet drivers, winsock reset, checking/unchecking just about every setting in internet options and so on. No browser seems to work and I am out of ideas. I turned firewall off as well to no prevail. I have no clue where to look next as 3 days ago my computer worked fine and all I did now was move it.

You can select WPA Personal (in Security Mode), but there are no further panels below it to select encryption types and enter the PSK. Compare page 30 to page 87. There are extra panels on 87 that don't appear on 30, and I can't find a way to access them while accessing the router.I've got the unit set up and running; works fine with my wireless laptop. It's just that I need to be able to switch between things in order to troubleshoot a setup with an internet radio I'm trying to get running (Grace Digital, which apparently doesn't do 802.11n, only up to g).
