I just bought the WAG120N , firmware version is v1.00.12, but it seems it has a problem with the device here.I have to turn off the system / device every time i want to get my dynamic ip update into dyndnds.org , it cant auto update the new dynamic ip.What problem that cause somethin like this?I already upgrade the firmware into 1.00.16 , but it didn't solve the problem.

I just bought the WAG120N today, firmware version is v1.00.16. I've face a problem as subject, the following print screens show my configuration on router and DynDNS. I confirm the username and password is correct.Screen 1:

Frameware version: 1.0.03.
Environment: Internet (external IP say 24.x.x.x) ISP provided modem+router (192. 168. 1.x/ 24 IPTV network) E4200 (192.168.0.x/24 my home network).
The DDNS option page did report update succefully and shown the external IP address correctly on the page, however when I login to dynDNS it shows 192.168.1.x, which is the E4200 IP dhcp from the ISP's router.I know that it's double NAT, but the 192.168.1x/24 subnet is the IPTV subnet, and my old Dlink router did support and update the dynDNS entry properly.
I have the DIR-655 Rev B with the 2.03NA firmware and am trying to get the dyn dns feature to work. Unfortunately it will not push the IP address to my dyndns account. I have all the correct settings in the panel but still nothing next to the status line.I've double checked all my settings but still no joy.Any way to get dyndns to work?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using DynDNS in lieu of a static ip. My ISP changed my WAN ip last night as expected however the RV180W did not update the WAN ip, and so the router is now offline. Using a secondary internet connection I have logged into DynDNS.com and checked my hosts file and confirmed the ipa has not updated since March. I changed the update period from 360 to 2 so this never happens again, but I need to now change the WAN ipa in the RV180W to match the new one. I remember a screen that shows the current WAN ip address greyed out under the present one, but I dont recll where to go to get to that. I am at a loss as to where I go in the RV180W to change the WAN ip address.

When I will update the devices and I go to Common Services - Software Center Device Update and I mark Resource Manager Essential then I receive this window:
Now I choose the Rtr2900 package (same problem for all six packages) and when I will download it, then after define the destination path for the file I see this window:
Then I have tried to download it manually with the following command: PSUCli.bat -p rme -d -dst c:psu_download -all
The six packages that are showed in the picture above were not downloaded.
I assume that there is an error on Cisco side because the size of the six packages is NA.
Or is there another possibility to download the package for the Rtr2900?
I have tried to search for an answer on the forum but I cannot find the correct answer to my issue. I'm having a problem where my dir655 updates the wrong ip adress to dyndns server. It always report 255.255.255.255. The dyndns information is all entered correctly and says "connected" in the dyndns configuration. So what is wrong with the adress update from the dir-655 to the dyndns server ? Of course I cannot use my dyndns adress since it is always at the wrong adress.

When I manually update the dyndns information (username and password) the registration does go through and the entry is updated on the dyndns site.
However, the registration does not auto-update after that.
Is there any way to disable WPS feature on my WAG120?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust bought this WAG120N and using the CD Setup it gets as far as Install Gateway then displays its not connected properly. Checked everything it says to check.Im swapping from an ordinary adsl modem but i unplugged all of that and the WAG120N shows steady Power , 1 ethernet number lit and flashing ok, Wireless is lit and DSL is also also lit. Rebooted a few times too.

When i replace the linksys router with an old netgear one all works well and the ipad can find the printer and print. The thing is, when it is disconnected, the adsl lamp is still on, so I think that it is not the network problem. When internet lamp turns off , I try to turn off the device (or unplug the phone cable), then turn it on again (or re-plug the cable), and it will work for certain minutes, then gets disconnected again. I have tried another router ie. netgear dg834g router and this problem didn't occur and i am able to connect over the network without a problem. Reading around this forum, it seems that I can give the second WAG120N a different static IP on the LAN and use it to expand the range of the WLAN.If I've read correctly, I need to make all the wireless stuff exactly the same except to use different wireless channels on each router. But what do I do with the DHCP server on the second WAG? Is it fair to say that the clients won't suddenly jump to a different IP because they won't have a cause to request a new one? I read one comment that suggested the second should be configured for DHCP relay, and another which contradicted this. Presumably I just don't configure the ADSL on the second WAG as that will only connect to the LAN.
