I have the DIR-655 Rev B with the 2.03NA firmware and am trying to get the dyn dns feature to work. Unfortunately it will not push the IP address to my dyndns account. I have all the correct settings in the panel but still nothing next to the status line.I've double checked all my settings but still no joy.Any way to get dyndns to work?
View 5 RepliesI have tried to search for an answer on the forum but I cannot find the correct answer to my issue. I'm having a problem where my dir655 updates the wrong ip adress to dyndns server. It always report 255.255.255.255. The dyndns information is all entered correctly and says "connected" in the dyndns configuration. So what is wrong with the adress update from the dir-655 to the dyndns server ? Of course I cannot use my dyndns adress since it is always at the wrong adress.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI am using DynDNS in lieu of a static ip. My ISP changed my WAN ip last night as expected however the RV180W did not update the WAN ip, and so the router is now offline. Using a secondary internet connection I have logged into DynDNS.com and checked my hosts file and confirmed the ipa has not updated since March. I changed the update period from 360 to 2 so this never happens again, but I need to now change the WAN ipa in the RV180W to match the new one. I remember a screen that shows the current WAN ip address greyed out under the present one, but I dont recll where to go to get to that. I am at a loss as to where I go in the RV180W to change the WAN ip address.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to have the RV220W router auto-update the dyndns registration. The dynamic domain that I use is .info -- note the .info domain.
When I manually update the dyndns information (username and password) the registration does go through and the entry is updated on the dyndns site.
However, the registration does not auto-update after that.
I just bought the WAG120N , firmware version is v1.00.12, but it seems it has a problem with the device here.I have to turn off the system / device every time i want to get my dynamic ip update into dyndnds.org , it cant auto update the new dynamic ip.What problem that cause somethin like this?I already upgrade the firmware into 1.00.16 , but it didn't solve the problem.

Environment: Internet (external IP say 24.x.x.x) ISP provided modem+router (192. 168. 1.x/ 24 IPTV network) E4200 (192.168.0.x/24 my home network).
The DDNS option page did report update succefully and shown the external IP address correctly on the page, however when I login to dynDNS it shows 192.168.1.x, which is the E4200 IP dhcp from the ISP's router.I know that it's double NAT, but the 192.168.1x/24 subnet is the IPTV subnet, and my old Dlink router did support and update the dynDNS entry properly.
I finished building my computer today, installed a fresh os and all the necessary drivers that came with the dvds provided, yet the wireless card doesn't even appear anywhere in the computer. The ethernet cabled one does, but not the wireless. Trying to connect to anything wireless just gives an endless searching process, with no results. I can't test the ethernet either, my router is all the way into the living room, way far out of reach.

I just setup an account at [URL],and I want to set it up in my router. I have a D-link DIR 655 with firmware 1.21 and when I set it up under dynamic dns it wont connect. It'll say "connecting" then disconnect right afterwards. I have my host name and log in information correct.
Is my firmware causing me this issue?

Currently, I have a machine attached to the router that has a webserver and ssh (fedora linux). The ports are successfully forwarded (in this case, tcp 80, and tcp 22), and from outside of my network I can connect. Also, I use dyndns.com to provide a domain name, instead of using my IP. The dyndns account is NOT managed by the router.The server I am trying to connect to has a reserved IP address.My problem is that from inside of my network, using the dyndns domain name, I cannot connect to my site.

I'm trying to portforward on my WDR4300 to use Dyndns to view my Dreambox outside of my home network.I can not seem to forward ports, is there a guide to port forwarding for this router.basically I want to forward port number 12000 to my dreambox with local ip 192.168.0.101 ( with dyndns representing 192.168.0.101)
my router is a smcwbr14s-n4I'm using a netgear wnda3100v2 dual band wireless usb adaptori'm using windows xp.I'm having wierd issues with the internet. Internet explorer works, as well as mumble and utorrent, but firefox, online games, and online update software will not work at all. It seems that anything that connects to a server says it doesn't detect a connection. I have tried setting up a static ip, enabling dmz, and all firewalls are off as far as i can tell in both the router and windows. I can't figure out if its an issue with the router or the card
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ARRIS Docsys3 modem from Comcast which has a built in WiFi router. I also have a DIR-655. The Modem is in my office and I have a 100' Ethernet cable running through my attic to my front room where the dir-655 is located.
I use the DIR for WiFi as well I have it connected to my TV and Xbox.I use the ARRIS Modem for WiFi as well I have it connected to another Xbox and a Desktop computer.I want to have everything on 1 network, Dir-655 uses IP address 192.168.0.1-100 and the ARRIS uses ranges 10.0.0.1-100. I want to be able to connect to the dir-655 and have the IP for that connection join up with the 10.0.0... network so that I will be able to transfer files freely throughout the network.
I want everything on one network. Right now when I connect a laptop to the DIR-655, I can not access the printer that is connected to the Desktop on the ARRIS modem. I have to connect to the ARRIS modems WiFi to then use the printer on the desktop.Likewise, I want to use the media extender on the Xbox connected to the DIR-655 with the Desktop connected the the ARRIS modem, but I can not because of the to different networks.

My firmware was 1.0.0.30 and i Update it to 1.0.1.9.
When i was try to connect with my VPN i am unable to reach it with error 800. MS says your firmware is too old so you get this error.
At the same time for VNC and some other stafs was necessary to open ports. Until now it seems that the router is not opening the ports.
What i should do? Return to the old firmware? Any extremely changes at new firmware so they had add more options for the ports? All the configuration is exactly the same as it was before the upgrade.
I found intermittent link down(20~40 seconds average) occurred about 1~10 times every month. SAP reported a lot of active connections are disconnected and I used a batch to ping and found "requested time out" about 30 seconds.And Windows, SQL server, Nexus 5010 do not show any errors. We run cluster and cluster does not fail over.And I don't know which cables or nics cause this issue. When it happened, almost all servers are unreachable. For example, SQL server 1 -> SQL server 2, IBM HS22-1 -> SQL server 1. However, some connections are not dropped sometimes. It varies each time.PS: I run this topology last year without any problems but it started intermittent link down from 2011/1/7. Because there is no errors in Nexus 5010, it is difficult to troubleshoot. Cisco TAC recommended us to implement virtual port channel yesterday. Could I use "errdisable detect cause" to detect what caused the intermittent link down? Is there any error logs or switch parameters/status can use to troubleshoot?

The real question I have is what is the easiest way to access any camera via a browser from a remote location. Years ago tech friend assisted me access my DCS-910 using dyndns.org. It was free and worked great. I guess it went away when they started charging for a basic account.
Is there an easy way to access a camera without using dyndns even if it involves putting in an IP address instead of a convenient domain name? I would just like to see at least one of my cameras in a browser off-site. If I have to pay $20/year for dyndns I can but I would prefer not to if possible.
How can I update my router if my Internet won't work with the router connected? Right now my Ethernet line is going directly from my PC to my modem. Belkin N750.

The customized login page is displayed correctly. After successful authentication the browser is forwarded to the default CISCO login page "login.html". No further autentication is possible, also no internet access.Reload the customized webauth bundle to the controller didn't change anything. Is there a change in the HTML/Java code of this controller version? I didn't find any hint in the release notes. Or do I need the newer web authentication bundle with version 1.0.2?

I just wanted to note that the 3.2.7 driver obtained from Windows Update doesn't work well, drops connections and takes longer to establish a connection. I've tried to update twice and each time I go back to the older driver.Can someone at Linksys examine the performance of this driver?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a DIR-655 B1 router. The firmware is 2.00 NA. Just to clarify, the DSi itself does work with WPA, but the games only work with WEP. I made a guest account and set it to WEP and it still does not work. I have tried making the main connection WEP as well, but when I go on the game and try it, it says it is WPA and not WEP. My friend has a DIR-655 as well, but the hardware and firmware version are different. Her games work flawlessly.

I've been beating my head against the wall trying to get this router to properly forward ports for a bit torrent application, but it not only won't do that, it doesn't want to save DHCP reservations and it doesn't want to recognize my computer on the LAN if I set a static IP address (although it does allow my computer to connect and get an internet connection). From the D-Link website, the description of firmware update 3.12NA looks like it might take care of these problems, but I can't get the router to update. When I log into the router and check for updates, it returns a message saying the latest update is v. 3.11, dated 9/15/09. However, when I attempt to download the update, nothing happens. The D-Link website offers update 3.11NA (4/20/09), 3.12NA (3/8/10), and 3.13NA (9/30/10). Why does the website offer me a different update than the router itself? I downloaded 3.13NA and unzipped the folder, which has a text file and a .bin file; I presume the latter is the update. However, when I browse to this file and attempt to upload it to the router, nothing happens. How the heck do I update this router?
