Linksys Wireless Router :: DPC3825 - Setting Up 2 Xboxs To Open NATS
Nov 1, 2011
I have 2 xboxs, 1 is wired and one has the microsoft adapter for wireless.. I have been searching tons of forums to try to solve this issue, and I'm at my end if it! I really need both my nats open, so far I can get 1 nat open while the other one is strict. I have a Cisco DPC3825.
I'm trying to find out how to set up my network with the e2000, ezxs55w and 4 Xboxs. Problem I am running into is that the NAT error ends up showing on at least two of the xboxs. Before I added the extra two xboxs for my boys, I didn't have any issues. Had to move stuff around and unplugged stuff now I am having problems. Current connection setup is modem> router> switch. Xbox 1 is wired to switch, NAT type is open. Xbox 2 wireless to router, NAT type is Strict. Xbox 3 wired to switch, NAT type moderate. Xbox 4 wireless to router, NAT type is strict. How do I set up the network and not have NAT errors on the Xboxs. I'm not to overly worried about Xbox 4, currently due that user not having a Xbox Live account.
I just set up a DPC3825 router, and I wanted to use WEP security settings so my DS Lite can connect to the internet, but it appear the only options in the Wireless > Wireless Security dropdown list are :
WPA-Personal WPA2-Personal WPA or WPA2-Personal Disable.
We have a need for an inside address to have more than one static NAT outside addresses. I know this wasn't possible before 8.3.X code. I still can't quite get it to work with 8.4.X code yet.
our inside network is 10.17.197.X/24. the current NAT we have in place is 10.21.197.X/24.
we need to add an additional NAT of 10.22.197.X/24 and I also have networks that will need to hit the address with no NAT.
I do know the source networks where I need each of the three cases:
from 172.20.X.X I need to hit the inside of 10.17.197.X natively, no NAT. from 192.168.X.X i need to hit the inside of 10.17.197.X with 10.21.197.X NAT from 10.10.X.X I need to hit the inside of 10.17.197.X with 10.22.197.X NAT
I want to start using a VPN and would rather have my own server for it so was going to buy a kimsufi 2g with ubuntu installed on it, Have been looking on the openvpn website but cant find any tutorials on how to setup openvpn on ubuntu.
I have opened my NAT for xbox using Port Triggering , but I cannot open my NAT for the PC because it uses no ports!I cannot host a match using any MMO game , and I cannot host any MW3/Black Ops matches too!
I have a WRT54G ver.5.(just did latest firmware) and a Buffalo Air Station wireless gaming adaptor.I have gone and port fowarded the UDP 88,UDP 3074,TDP 3074 I believe I have left the UPnP on (brother in law says not an issue)(?) On my XBOX 360 i have the IP & DNS set to Auto, and I get an OPEN setting on my NAT.But when I play online (Halo 3) I can't join any of my friends' parties, acting like it is STRICT. When I set up my IP & DNS to Manual and put in static IP & DNS, I run the tests and get STRICT. It seems to me that even though my NAT "says" its OPEN, it is really on STRICT.
Get my NAT set to open for MW2 for abit now but cant seem to figure out what the problem is. opening the NAT for this router for Modern Warfare 2 on the PC, not Xbox or PS3
I have a PS3, and i play allot of video games such as all COD game especially MW2. It says i have a strict or moderate NAT. My router is in the same room as the PS3, so i should have a Open Nat.Also i have another question, i bought this Epson printer from Best Buy, i was wondering if I can connect to it Wireless, but i think i cant connect to it wireless cause i dont see the WiFi Certification on the printer or anything hints that it can connect wireless
ive tried all types of things i read online and it is stuck on moderate no matter what i do, im hooked into router directly, when i hook directly into modem it switches to open.
Two days ago I was able to type this in my browzer (Safari, Macintosh) and open the page. Now for two days I have tried this again and get a massage that the server at this location (192.168.1.1 ) is not responding. How can I get onto this page. I need to change the settings on my WRT54G V8.
I've been searching off and on for the past couple months trying to figure out what we could do to our router to open our NAT, after having both the PS3 and Xbox 360 tell me I've got moderate NAT. I tried a DMZ with my PS3 having a static IP, I tried UPnP. I messed with firewall settings, to no avail.
I recently found something that did work however, on Google. Basically what happened was, I needed to reset the router and change a few settings on top of enabling UPnP I didn't know about(CTS Protection, remote management) how they could have anything to do with translation of data.
But like I said, after doing a huge step by step walk through, I was able to get open NAT in the network tests of both PS3 and 360(even though the PS3 obviously still says Type 2. It used to say Type 2, but it also used to have an error code at the bottom of the page). I've checked in games on each console, and they tell me I've got open NAT.
Now I still have one tiny problem. Red Dead Redemption. I play Red Dead Redemption online with two friends(who, incidentally, have the same router as me), and we haven't been able to communicate if we were using routers. We still can't, but I'm thinking that it's not my router anymore. I'm thinking his router has incorrect settings. Am I correct?
I am just designing a solution where a FWSM consists of 2 contexts initially and has a shared outside interface pointing to the 6500 switch. There are 3 subnets connected to each of the FWSM contexts. So if anyone wants to access these 6 subnets then a route would be needed pointing to the interface vlan of the shared interface on the switch. But that would not be enough to access the subnets.. I am sure we have to define static NATS to point them to the right context where these subnets reside.
The FWSM is running version 3.x code So say 1.1.1.0(shared), 10.10.0.0(inside1), 10.20.0.0(inside2) and 10.30.0.0(inside3) reside in Context 1 and 1.1.1.0(shared), 20.10.0.0(dmz1), 20.20.0.0(dmz2) and 20.30.0.0(dmz3) reside in Context 2 in each of the context we would have to make three static NATS
I have a linksys E1000 and i'm trying to open my NAT for xbox live. I mostly need it for call of duty: black ops because i cant connect to friends and i lag out of lobbies with friends. I've been trying to open my NAT for hours and nothing will work. ive tried forwarding ports, DMZ, UPnP, MTU sizes, and security things.
For Xbox 360? currently, whether wired or wireless, my Xbox 360's NAT type is strict, and I am unable to do anything online whatsoever. Is there anyways to set up an exception, or anything that can open my Xbox's connection to my router so I can actually use it online?
I tried forwarding ports 80, 443, 7001, 8888, 9901, and 9911 on my Linksys E1000 router but whenever I check my ports always come back as closed. This happens even why I try to enable DMZ.
I have a WRT120N router.it goes alright in connection wise but for my ps3 my Nat type is strict which wont let me join in some of my mate's partie's or host a game. And i REALLY wanna fix it by opening my nat. I've basically tried everything port forwarding but when you save it when port forwarding, it doesn't save like it look's like on the video's i have seen on YouTube.I've done that DMZ thing which also didn't work.I've basically done everything on YouTube and other site's.I'm just wondering if it's just the router. Or just the way i have it all setup because my router is setup in a different room with the computer which is hooked up with the modem and my ps3 is in my room which is a different room and is just connected threw WiFi my connection on the ps3 is wireless obviously.
I¨ve got an E3000 linksys (Sisco) router, but have some problem with the ICMP. I know this because I can not get access to the ports I'm opening from LAN pos. in the NAT setting. I'm running a windows 2008 server with my own homepage on and a FTP server.
I am at my wits end with cisco and linksys. I have had three different linksys routers over the years.I have a WRT160N, and now I think I made the mistake of buying cisco's latest product E3000. I thought by now their Upnp would be worked out for 180 dollars. But sadly no even their most expensive latest product doesn't do what I want. All I want is to hook up two xbox 360s and have open NAT which is what NAT is supposed to do. Still the NAT does not open up for both systems simultaneously which is absurd. I have a sb6120 for a modem. Both xboxes are hardwired to the router. Upnp should be enabled as this is part of the router. Also its job should be able to handle the two xboxes properly with one ip address that is its sole purpose.
I've tried one in dmz the other with static ip with forwarded ports that equals one open one strict.I've tried upnp enabled alone that equals one open one moderate.I've tried everything else the plan and simple fact is that it should work with upnp on and the nat in the e3000 will take care of the allocation of renaming ports to the single external ip address. By definition.
I need to get to my web admin page, but I cannot get into my router to do so.IE tells mt that there is a certifacte error, and then gives me the option of going in anyway. When I select that option, nothing happens, and the same IE warning page remains.I am plugged directly into an e-net port on the router, and it is a WRT160N.
The last few weeks I've been having problems with my 360 Slim. Sometimes it boots up just fine, other times it wont connect to XBL at all. Some days I have a open NAT, other days I have a moderate NAT.
I have followed the steps on the portforward website. I make a static IP and all that good stuff. I open the ports, using the IP address the Portforward static IP program gives me. After that...My computer stops working. It fails to connect me to any websites at all.I'm running a Linksys ea3500 router.
I am using remote management to attempt to open port 8889 on my Linksys WRT54G router. I have successfully opened ports 22 and 80 with no problem. Additionally, I can close and reopen these ports without having to physically reset the router. However, if I try to open any other port (I have tried various ports: 23, 100, 8888, 8889, and several others) this port will not open. The ISP this router is connected to is Comcast and according to this site URL port 8889 isn't among the ports that Comcast blocks. I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this issue (short of manually resetting the router or restoring the default settings).
I got a new Xbox 360 Slim and he has it connected through wireless, and His older Xbox 360 connected through Ethernet. And well we would like to play some games online without some major lag. So is it possible to have an Open NAT with two Xbox's within the same network? He has a Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router WRT160Nv3.
