View 1 Replieshave either the latest or original firmware for the travel router WTR54GS V2.0? (Not the WRT54G).
View 1 RepliesThe router had firmware 2.0.x(?) and I tried to update to the latest FW, according to the webpage that's
FW_E1000_2.1.02.006_US_20130115.bin
Hardware is E1000 v2 according to sticker on back. The firmware update failed (no reason given) and the router now hangs in limbo where all it does is flashing the power LED.I set my PC to 19?2.168.1.2 and TFTP'd the firmware over to 192.168.1.1 - no errors reported and 192.168.1.1 is pingable. Held reset for 30s, then powered down the router for another 30s. On power-up the router still flashes the power LED.
I was using dd-wrt to fix a problem that my router was having (I wasn't able host some online games when router QOS is enabled). However, i can't couldn't take that crappy firmware anymore (its web gui was way to slow, painfully slow actually and it crashed alot) and will never use it again in life. I was finally able to get back to the default linksys firmware but now I have the same previous problem. I am now using the latest firmware "Firmware Version v1.02.8' for my WRT54g v6. I never backed up up the previous firmware for this router before i upgraded to v1.02.8 so any link to a previous version or the first version of firmware for this router that will be great. I've been look all around the internet and I can't find it, from searching around i found out that linksys hand an ftp archive of firmwares but it stopped working around 2010. So, where i can get at older version, or even a third party firmware OTHER THAN DD-WRT that works with the WRT54g v6 router.
I don't even know if the older firmware would fix this problem, but I dont want to have to be disabling QOS every time i want to play this game because the people in my house will hog the bandwidth and i will get lag, but its worth a shot.
I want to know what is the best firmware for BEFW11S4.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf someone has the original firmware for the EA3500 to copy. I need to downgrade my router after Cisco sabotaged it with their Cloud Connect. This will be the firmware you have right out of the box. Be sure you go into the Admin. section and Save a Copy before you ever connect to the Internet. Also Uncheck the Auto Updates box or you will be fed the Cloud Connect (and its amazing Terms Of Service).

View 1 Replies View Relatedan EA6500 router that has intermmitent connectivity issues. Went into the configuration page and saw he was a couple versions behind on firmware. Used the online update option, firmware downloaded and then indicated that router would reboot. Did not power off router or leave the configuration web page. Watched light go out on router and come back on, but the spinning wait icon never went away after 5 minutes. Powered off and on and was back at the same point with the old firmware still. Downloaded the firmware to local drive and applied from local file, but same results. Waited 10 minutes this time. Surely it doesn't take more than 10 minutes for the router to reboot itself from a firmware flash?
Gave up on trying to update firmware and configured wifi settings. Left friend's house and then got a message about 15 minutes later that the router had locked up again. If he pulls power for 2 minutes it will then work for another short period of time.
Is there anything that can be done to try and restore normal operation to this particular router, or are these all signs of a hardware failure and the unit should just be replaced?
I have a WRT54GS v1 router which is currently loaded with firmware version 2.07.1. I want to upgrade it with the latest firmware. Where I can find the latest firmware download for this model router? Linksys does not have it available on their site.

It keeps showing 'Waiting' at the center of the page forever.. I have tried to do the 30/30/30 reset to no avail, i tried to do tftp downgrade to older firmware version but the tftp boot doesn't even start. It will not install as a wi-fi device, probable reason being the settings on my (wireless) router, according to the printer's Wireless Network Test Results sheet. I suspect that the firmware on it (3.0.02) is obsolete. What is the latest firmware version for the WRT160N ?

I currently have Model name: Linksys E4200 Firmware version: 1.0.04 build 11 Software version: 1.4.12100.0
I'm trying to upgrade to the second and most up to date version. (Version: 2.0) firmware. Any links or way to do this? I tried doing it through my router settings under administration -> firmware upgrade but it won't update automatically. I have to find the actual update file and update the firmware through that.
I have a WRT110 wireless router which disconnects suddenly and continuously. In addition, its performance is really poor. The current firmware installed is 1.0.03. I found a new firmware for this model (1.0.04.10) but when I try to install it, I choose the .bin file downloaded from Linksys TechSupp website, click on the "Start Upgrade" button, but I always get the following message "Please designate the path to the firmware".
