In Room 1 Computer 1 and computer 2 are connected to the Verizon box via ethernet cables using port LAN 1 & LAN 2.In Room 2 I have Computer 3 connected to the Verizon box using Wireless I then added a ethernet cable into Computer 3 that goes into a Netgear box the ethernet cable goes into the Internet port I then run a ethernet cable into port 1 in the netgear box into the Xbox 360 and on computer 3 I bridge the wireless and LAN connection this then lights up the netgear box showing Internet and Gives the Xbox internet connection but Computer 3 shows and will not connection to the internet just that it is on the LAN network.
I recently purchased and successfully installed a NetGear N600 dual band router (WNDR3400). My desktop has no connection issues. My iPod Touch has no issues connecting to the wireless network. However, my phone (HTC Aria), my work computer (Dell Latitude D630 Win XP) and my brand new HP Slate 500 (Win 7 Pro) cannot connect to the network. The network is discoverable by all the devices but the 3 cannot connect. I removed all security and still was not able to connect.
I reinstalled the router and still not able to connect. I restarted the router and still not able to connect. The Dell did previously connect to unsecured networks in my neighborhood but does not seem to like my newly set-up network. I am most surprised that the Slate is unable to connect to the wireless network. I would think something brand new would like that would not have an issue. If I cannot get my wireless router working properly and my other computers able to connect to it, it makes them all pretty useless.
Ever since I updated my wireless NETGEAR WNR1000v2 Firmware to its current Version V1.1.2.28NA I'm unable to connect to the internet with my PSP Firmware version of 6.60. I used to be able to connect up with no problems. I can scan and it sees the connection and i'm able to set the PSP network settings up however when I go to test it it will not connect up.
I just successfully setup my wireless Netgear router to work with my laptop and desktop. I now want to get my iPhone to connect to it as a WiFi connection. It sees the available network after I enable WiFi, but when it tries to connect, it just says "unable to connect" or something after I input the password.
My current password shows in the Netgear router (through 192.168.1.1) in the "passphrase" field under Wireless Settings, and it's cp6s-n3rb-ziav. This is what I put in the password field for my particular network in the iPhone before it tells me it can't connect.
There is an option on the left column in the router for "Set password," but it's just to change it to something else. If my iPhone won't accept the current one, I don't see why it would accept a new one, and then I'd have to go and change it in the laptop, too. Without knowing if that's the issue, I'm holding off on that for right now.
I am trying to connect to the internet using an external wireless device (Netgear model:MA101), I have managed to install the drivers and my wireless network is coming up as an option! For some bizarre reason when I try and connect the following messages appears: "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refresh the list of available networks, and try again"I then refresh and try to connect but the message constantly appears I have rebooted my computer in case it needs to reset after installing the driver for the wireless device.
I have a pretty basic NETGEAR router right now. I have a Zyxel modem that Centurylink sent when I signed up for my DSL service. The Zyxel modem connects to my NETGEAR router. When I play online either wireless or wired from the Netgear modem I have major connection issue. However, if I disconnect from the netgear modem and connect from the Zyxel directly to the ps3 I have zero problems.
My dad is using a netgear router DG834G V2 and has no problem until recently. He got a new phone and wanted to connect wirelessly but couldn't remember is network key. After playing around with things he's obviuosley changed something and now has no internet what so ever.
I've tried plugging in the eternet cable and accessing 192.168.0.1 but can't see any problems there. When i am able to get a connection it's local only and Internet explorer can't display web pages. And when i unplug the ethernet cable it doesn't always find the wireless connection, and if it does find it, then i have the same problem as when the lead is plugged in.
His ISP is AOL although he doesn't always access the internet via aol, he'll use IE and i'm trying to get him to give firefox a go.
I have tried disabled both windows firewall and AVG firewall and individually but still keep getting the message internet explorer cannot display webpage.

I'm trying to resolve an issue I'm having with connecting a WLC to the access points. I've inherited a net gear WLC and access points. Having redesigned the network and moving the WLC into the data center I am unable to connect to the APs. The APs are on 192.168.0.x addresses and the WLC is on 10.2.0.x address. I am able to ping to the closest switch (the one the APs are actually attached to) but not the the APs themselves.
All other devices are Cisco devices 4006 to 2950. So it goes WLC (10.2.0.33) - 4006 (10.2.0.23, 192.168.0.99) - 2950 (192.168.0.100) - APs (192.168.0.10 - 35). I have OSPF enabled, I am able to ping from the WLC to the 2950. So from 10.2.0.33 to 192.168.0.100, no problem with that. I try and ping from 10.2.0.33 to any of the APs ie 192.168.0.15 and it cannot find it.
I have two Dell latitude xpi computers that I am trying to get to the internet. Both work well except for making the connection to the internet. The w95 computer is using version 4.0a. I am using a Netgear ma401 pcmcia card. When looking at the the signal strenght it says excellent and everything seems go until you click IE icon (5.5). I comes back stating that it could not connect. The same is true for the w98SE machine. Same wifi card and same results. The card is good and the computer is good, but I have not set something correctly.
I have Windows 7 on Dell N4110. I am unable to connect to my netgear router wirelessly. If i restart the router, it may work for some time but then again gets disconnected. However, i can connect to it through wired connection. Others in my apartment can connect to the router. They dont have windows 7 (they use vista, ubuntu). Its working fine for them. I have tried many things like updating the router, disabling firewall, changing wireless security settings, updating windows but none of them seem to work. My friend who has the same laptop also cant connect when I cant. As soon as my connection is disconnected, his also disconnects.
I also am using a Dell Inspiron N5010 with Windows 7 and have trouble connecting to Netgear WNR 1000. I have an Apple that has no trouble making that connection. I have spent over $100 to a local computer repair company trying unsuccessfully trying to fix the problem and $129 to Dell Technical Services with equal lack of success and then was told by a technical support person that they had fixed it, that they would not provide futher work to fix it. The fact is that the error occurred again immediately the moment the Dell technician hung up. I spent the following day just running internet on a cable connection for about 8 hoooting.ble shurs trouble free and then switched it to wireless, which failed in about 10 minutes as my own troubleshooting. This made it clear to me that the problem was only in the wireless connection.
They problem is the Blue Screen error time message that pops up at random times any time the computer is operating on wireless. At other timerred again immediatelyre occuthe failuat s it operates normally. The Blue screen error causes the computer to shut down and restart. The only solution I have found is to return the Netgear router to the store where I bought it (within 30 days of purchase) and pay the additional cost of a different router.
Service personell should at least be kept aware or incompatibilites, explained or unexplained, between particular router models and particular computer models so as to save this waste of time and money. I have lost about 3 weeks of useful time on this computer in addition to over $200 in direct costs attempting to find a fix.
My Dell Laptop is unable to access internet through my Netgear wireless router. Other equipment (Lenovo laptop, ipad, iphone, PS3) accessing internet fine through same router. I ran the onboard Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility. Hardware diagonistics all pass. Connection diagnostics reports:
Radio Passed Association Passed Authentication Passed Local IP Address Passed
I'll try and keep this brief, we were having problems with our netgear router (DGN1000) mainly with connection when online gaming with PS3, generally poor connection - so purchased a TP-Link router (TD-W8960N). We could usually access the netgear wirelessly on our laptops Dell and Acer Aspire 4820T (both Windows 7) without any problems and were still doing so last night. However hubby attempted to install the new router last night and all seemed to go fine but after installing we couldn't connect to the wireless network through laptops, iphone ps3 etc - even though we could see the network with excellent strength, after hours of trying called TP-Link they went through everything they could think of and still no joy. Gave up in the end and went to reinstall the netgear Router and now we have the same problem with this router, even though earlier in the night it wasn't a problem - we deleted the previous networks so there was nothing stored in memory & tried everything we can think of (although neither of us are brilliant with IT we do usually get by).We even set up an unsecured wireless network (on both routers) and still couldn't connect?
I have a functioning wireless network at home, but I can't get my computer to connect to the internet. I bought a new wireless usb adaptor (Netgear N-150, WNA1100VC) and tried to install it. The computer at first connected to the internet, but the next day it did not. I unistalled the software and tried to reinstall it, but I got an error message saying the driver was not digitally signed and I should contact the provider. I have done this, and Netgear have given me instructions on how to fix. The problem is that now when I packed up my computer and re-assembled so I can plug the ethernet cable directly into it, I still can't connect to the internet.I get a message saying I'm connected to the wireless network, but can't connect to the internet. When I click on the "Diagonose Problem" it says the following:Windows Network Diagnostics Window. There might be a problem with one or more network adaptors on this computer
1. The network adaptor "Realtek RTL8168C (P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)" is experiencing driver or hardware related issues 2. Make sure your internet protocol bindings are correct - Ensure that "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" are selected in the configuration for the network adaptor "Local Area Connection"[code]
I am running Windows Vista and we recently got a new wireless router to work with our Blu-Ray player. The desktop works, but not the laptop. I can connect to the local network, but not the internet. The laptop worked before we got the new router, and it works on another network. Our new router is a Netgear WNR-1000 v3. I get a response when I ping 127.0.0.1.
I cant get this to work and maybe it's not possible to even do it. I have 2 laptops one old running XP and one new running 7. I have DSL Sprint modem that works fine when directly wired to either laptop. A friend gave me an old Netgear Wrt54g wireless router he had laying around so I could connect both laptops to the internet. I cannot do this wired or wireless. When I try wired the internet doesn't work. When I try to do it via wireless the new Windows 7 laptop says it isn't compatible. Any way to get this to work either way on both? Or do I need to pick up a new router. Also, I would prefer a wired connection so any recommendations for a wired router that will work with this setup.
I bought a Netgear WN3000RP Extender for better wifi range, because on my room upstairs I have no signal at all (so called dead spots) So, I installed it a few months ago and all was working fine, untill we had to leave the house for vancation. Someone in the house pulled the extender out of the electric outlet. A few weeks later we pulled it back in it, but here started the problem: I installed the extender again, but now without any succes. (Just incase you want take a look: [URL]
There are 4 LED lights attached to this extender. 3 of them are lighting, but the 4th won't light at all. LED's: [URL]
I did the exact same procedures as exampled in the installation manual, but nothing worked. I always got this error on the end of the unsuccesful installation: Move the extender closer to the existing router or gateway.
Im really sure the extender is in the range of my actual router!
I've tried everything from restoring to factory defaults to WPS, DPS, disabling security, Nothing works.. I always get stuck on the error. (With WPS I press both the buttons on the extender and the router, but they cant find each other.)
i bought a netgear for my laptop and when trying to connect to it,i get through the connections to the setup and then it says that it detects a static ip address.
Cannot connect to Internet. Have a Netgear DGN2000 modem-router. Using XP Pro, AT+T ISP.Get to 'admin','password' page and sometimes get to Setup wizard but never able to finish it.AT+T checked line and said it was OK. Took all filters off phone lines and only have phone jack with router hooked up to it, so no interference is there. Just have DSL, 'dry loop'.Lights on router are (Green)Power,(Green) Port, (Green)Wireless, and (Green)blinking DSL, (RED) Internet light. When I leave router on these are the lights. Must turn router off so I can use Netgear unsecured network for internet on a wireless laptop running Vista.
I have Netgear router and can't connect to Sony TVI thought earlier comments would solve my problems with my Sony KDL32EX713 but No.I didn't do anything at the router admin side as I couldn't see what could be changed (I'm on Vista). Its IP is 192.168.0.1I looked at adding a wireless device but it lost me.On the TV I tried the manual set up on that Bordersman suggested with the above in the default and DNS lines. leaving the sub net unchanged at 255.255.0.0 and the IP as 192.168.1.15.I said No to Proxy sever (didn't understand the comment about DHCP. It searched and came back with wireless device ok but local and internet connection failed

I have cable broadband internet. My internet modem is a Ubee D3.0. It is connected to my Netgear N600 Wifi router which have my computer and DirecTV hooked up to it via ethernet. My wifi went down the other day. Devices were connected, but were not getting any internet service. In troubleshooting, I attempted to dial in to the router using www.routerlogin.net as well as 192.168.0.1, and I could not get into the router. I assumed the router must have crashed, and I only purchased it a month ago, so I took it back to the store and exchanged it for a new one. I got home and plugged it in, still not working. I can't access it using the above mentioned methods, and the setup software does not detect a router present. I unplugged the router and hooked the computer up directly to the internet modem. Still no luck. The computer does show a network connection in the system tray, but with no internet. I plugged my laptop in to the internet modem, and I am able to get internet just fine from my laptop. I even did a system restore to a restore point last week when I know the internet was working. No luck.
Few days ago I started to get the following error message while trying to connect to the internet using Chrome and IE:"Unable to connect to the proxy server..."I don't have a proxy server configured - nothing is checked in the LAN settings page.In Firefox I don't have that problem - it seems it gets the proxy configuration from elsewhere.
In my device I am able to browse through & connect to my HOME wifi network ; But after connecting it says 'No Internet Access'.I tried connecting with my SONY Bluray , iphone , ipad , laptops -- everywhere same story.I am able to plug in the ethernet cable directly from modem & able to connect to network.I am not able to open the http://192.168.0.1 -- ( When I am plugged in the modem directly)
Following are my router details

I have a Netgear N300 Wireless Router (WNR2000), and I am trying to connect the internet through it. The internet light stays amber, and though the router recognizes it, I can not connect to the internet. My computer also doesn't seem to recognize the router at all. Installation CD will not work either.
I recently installed a NetGear router to my PC in order to do online gaming. Now my laptop does not connect to the internet. I have spent over 9 hours on the phone with Centurylink (the internet provider); Netgear (the router) and HP (the laptop). Each one says its not their problem. The laptop can find our connection, it says "Connected". However it then says "Internet access denied".
Tried numerous times but no Internet connection between Directv hr23-700 and Netgear DSL 7550 modem/router. Is connected to home network, but no Internet.
