i own an MSI u 135-dx mini-laptop, having a problem with the wirelessconnection. it was working before, although i tried fn + F11 still no use. it tries to connect to the network, but refuses to leaving me with a no solution after trouble shooting. its a windows 7 running system. everything is up to date, laptop is new.

I bought it for a few Euros in France where it is known as the "SurfOne mini PC Ref. INOS1CE"; I think it is the same as the Chinese "OEM mini laptop netbook". It has a 7" screen, a 2 MB memory and claims to run on Windows CE 6.0.My problem is that after successfully connecting via WiFi to my "Orange Livebox" modem and router for a few days, I then lost that connection and can connect now only by cable.When I turn on WiFi power, it recognizes the "Livebox", but then states that it is not receiving any signal and the connection fails. I have a desktop PC using Windows 7 Pro. and a Airlink N 150 Mini USB wireless adapter. My 2Wire modem/router from AT&T was failing to stay connected and was replaced today with a Netgear 7550 modem/router from AT&T. I installed the Netgear 7550 and am able to access the internet with my Asus Laptop, my LG Thrill phone, and my Samsung Galaxy 2 tablet with no problems. However, my Desktop cannot connect to the internet and the Window Network diagnostics returned the following message: Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration. How do I go about connecting my desktop to the Netgear modem/router so that I have access to the internet? By the way I am able to connect to the internet using an ethernet cable and a LAN connection.

Not knowing anything about this new program, I removed it and tried to connect with the Windows wireless manager. I've opened the Network and Sharing Center and see an Unidentified network as the active network.
I've plugged a LAN cable in from my modem and the local connection status show's packets being received but nothing being sent. The IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity show no internet access.I have two other lap tops running on this wireless network with no problems.

I have an Inspiron 1012 mini. A week ago, it worked fine and I was able to connect to the internet. Now I can't get it to enable a wireless connection. Using device manager, I can see that Radio is enabled. However, when I use the WLAN utility, the check box for enable/disable is unchecked and grayed out so that I cannot change it. Per suggestions from other forums, I have tried fn/F2, but nothing happens. Is this a hardware problem with my wireless card, or is there something I am missing?

I intermittently lose the connection or the strength of the connection fluctuates. I have an Inspiron 1521, with a Dell Wireless 1390 Wlan Mini-Card. Also, I am running Windows 7.
A couple of hours ago, I suddenly lost my wireless connection and could not reestablish it. I ran the diagnostic tool, which reported that there was a hardware or driver-related problem with my 1390 mini-card. Now, when I go into Device Manager, it has an exclamation point next to it and it says "This device cannot start (Code 10)".
I have restarted my system and downloaded and installed this driver URL . Device Manager now says, "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date," but there is still a Code 10 error.
Does this just mean that the card needs to be replaced? I am not sure what to do now -
User has a laptop, takes home and uses in office.Running Windows XP. Once he comes in the office, tries to retrieve a file from his network drive connection, the laptop loses the drive connection.It will restore only if I reboot just to drop shortly after.

Per a separate thread, I went to the command prompt to try to run the ipconfig all but it comes up as user/owner and I don't know how to get to admin mode. Also, the proxy option is unchecked.

It can browse the web all day, but the second a large file begins to transfer (video, a file download, etc.) it will drop the connection randomly, usually rather quickly. The computer does not need to be restarted to reconnect, it often reconnects on its own near-immediately, though sometimes I have to go to the system tray and reconnect manually.I thought it was too far from the router, but my tower in the same room connects flawlessly, and going in to the same room as the router doesn't work. This same laptop has been fine on every other network, and every other computer is fine on this network. I've web crawled off and on about this for months, but no one's problem is limited to one computer/network combination.

View 2 Replies View Relatedwe recently upgraded our home router and have been having trouble ever since. Our old router was a Netgear one, so we bought a newer netgear model. Since installing the new one we can not get my daughters laptop, an iPad and ipods to work on the wifi. My computer is wired into the router and works fine, it is just the wireless. All of these things worked perfectly using our old netgear wirelss modem and all of them can find the wireless network on their list of available networks, they all say that they are connected with a good signal, but when they try to browse the internet or check emails, it comes up saying not connected to the internet. We even bought a range extender because we thought the signal might not be strong enough between the new router and my daughters bedroom which are at opposite ends of the house and on different floors, but it made no difference and wasn't a problem before.
Anyway, the router we bought is a Netgear N150 wireless modem router DGN1000, the cables are plugged in to ports 1 and 4 ( there is only 1,2,3 and 4 to choose from). The extender is a Netgear universal range extender WN2000RPT
I have tried turning it all off and back on again, have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but still nothing. Daughters laptop uses Vista and she has McAfee security. Exactly as it has always been and has worked fine using our old wireless router, just not this new one.
I have a Compaq mini CQ10-100 Netbook, and I am trying to Make a Wireless internet connection through a D-link router. My ISP is Cox Cable. The Netbook is connected to my wireless network, but will not connect to the internet.
