Realtek Network Controller Was Not Found

All of a sudden, my ethernet port isn't being recognized. It doesn't show up in device manager, and i get an error: "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. if deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable" when attempting to install the driver for it. i'm using the ethernet port on my gigabyte h67m-ud2h-b3 motherboard and i got the drivers from gigabyte. its as if i don't have an ethernet port it was working a few days ago but now, nada

Everything was working fine, I was able to make everything work fine. Then yesterday morning I started up my computer and it was not connected to the internet. My ethernet was plugged in and everything was as it should be. I went in to device manager and noticed that my realtek network controller was not in the device list under network adapters. I then tried to reinstall my LAN drivers from ASUS (my motherboard) which is how I got it to work in the first place. However, this time when it "finishes" installing an error pops up and says "The realtek Network Controller was not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled Please plug the cable."

Dell Inspiron laptop n4110-6 gb RAM- 575 gb HD- intel i-5 processor 1333mhz. Win 7 -64 bit
everything was fine until yesterday...started up laptop and noticed the network connection icon in my task bar hd the "red-x" through it...i knew something was up cuz i had ethernet hardline in to my machine. after I had inspected every possible home netwrok issue...i noticed it was more pc related.now i go to my device manager to check my network adapters..... there are NONE listed...i go to "View" to find that unhide all devices and note there are only wireless drivers in this device and NOT the typical "realtek-8111E" controller that SHOULD be listed.
So far...i have done these steps
1) ensured BIOS (my cmos is phoenix tianos build) lan settings are correct- done
2) Removed RAM from slots
3) Removed Cmos Battery
4) waited for 15 minutes.it is still not working ....a i even tried a clean install of win 7 and that doesnt work?

I am facing this trouble since i purchased this laptop i have a Dell vostro 2520 running on windows 8 pro X64, so the problem is that whenever i try to install drivers for Ethernet which i downloaded from the drivers and download section of this website it gives me an error "Realtek network controller was not found If in deep sleep mode please plug in the cable" now the thing is that it cannot be a problem in my windows as i was running on windows til few days ago, I got the same problem in windows 7 as well,
I have searched everywhere and i have tried almost every solution i got but to no avail the problem still persist and i cannot use LAN for Internet or file transfers,
P.S:- I looked for the adapter under the "control panel system and security system device manager Network adapters" But didn't found anything there saying Ethernet or something like that.
I am uploading the screenshots of the problem i am facing.

I've got a Philips MT1800, Intel Core 2 Duo package. My network adapters are recognised (1394 Net Adapter, Intel Pro/1000 PM Network Connection), but in unknown Devices the 'Network Controller' drivers are not found (there was a Ralink RT2500 slot before, I'm assuming this is the missing driver??). EVEREST Home Edition recognises a Ralink RT2500 802.11g Wireless Network Adapter (PCI), and my PC finds new hardware on reboot, but it cannot find drivers at all. I've tried a few methods, such as Driver Detective etc. but don't have the original restore CD any more, so don't want to tamper with any other "out of date" drivers. I am not in a situation where I can order a restore CD, so I'm hesitant to System Restore in case something else becomes unresolvable.

I've bought a new Dell N5050, first it was on Ubuntu, then I formatted my disk and now working on Windows 7. Due to that, I've lost many drivers specially for wireless and network. I've downloaded many from here, but I'm still unable to find these 2. In other words, I can't connect to the wireless connection unless I use the Ethernet cable.

i just reinstalled windows on my laptop and i figured i could just download drivers from the dell website. after following the installation order specified on the website.. installing first the NSS and then the chipset, etc.. I realized there wasn't a driver for the NIC on the website. i also noticed that the steps didn't include a step for ethernet drivers, so i replaced the NIC step with installing the broadcom integrated controller. unfortunately, after completing the rest of the installation steps, my Network Controller driver is still not installed (looking in the device manager), a hardwire connection through the ethernet cable gives me "limited or no connectivity" and there is no wireless capability whatsoever.

I can't connect to the internet. I'm currently using a USB internet, but the problem still exists. So it's not working with either cable or USB internet. It just won't connect. I've thought for a long time that there is probably something wrong with my network card, but I've run some tests that I saw on the internet, and it appears as if the network card is fine. I've also thought that there might have been a program or something that I installed that could have caused this problem, but I can't find the problem. When I go to the device manager, I can find one network card called: "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller". I've tried to reinstall the card, but it doesn't work. I can't find any software on the internet for this card either.

Ive just downloaded wireshark just to mess around and ive noticed that even when ive got nothing open its still capturing packets. It gives me a choice of interfaces i want to choose to monitor and i would of thought it be "Realtek PCIe Family Controller" as this is normally the default one (im using wireless) but its saying no packets are being captured from this interface its the "Microsoft" Interface thats capturing the packets. Ive attached a screenshot, i know this isnt nothing bad but was just wondering 1) why isnt my Realtek PCIe interface capturing anything (even when i have youtube open it doesnt capture anything) and 2) why is Microsoft capturing packets? what is this microsoft interface and why is it capturing packets when nothing is open.

I have just re-installed Windows Vista on my Toshiba Laptop and it connects fine to my virgin media router using a LAN line but when I try connecting wirelessly, no networks are found. I've tried up-dating the driver files form the C: drive(Window) and also from the net but with no joy.. Network adapter is a Realtek RTL 8187B. I recently replaced my harddisk and ever since I've been getting BSOD's whenever I try to watch a video online (no matter what website I'm on). I just turned on 2 Wirelless LAN Controllers 5508 and I am getting this message on both of them:
Loading primary image (Image not found)
** Unable to read "linux.pri.img" from ide 0:2 **
Loading backup image (Image not found)
** Unable to read "linux.bak.img" from ide 0:2 **
And it is taking me to the BootMenu. I selected option 4 to Clear Configuration and the controller seems to restart the system but I still get the same error. I checked the LEDs status and Sys is Amber and Alarm is OFF which according to the documentation is a System Crash.

I just downgraded from vista to XP on my Compaq pc that a friend gave to me. The hard drives were loaded with junk so i decided to do a fresh install with my Windows XP cd. Everything looks like its working great except it seems as if ive lost all drivers necessary to connect to the internet. i have a laptop running Vista which will connect to wireless network, but will not connect to internet. I have tried connecting direct to router and also deleting wireless connection & reinstalling with no luck. I can however use a mobile broadband usb dongle and connect to the internet with no problem - appears to be a problem with connecting via something other than mobile broadband?

i have 9 pcs on a lan. when i attempt to view the workgrp i get a message that indicates the the workgrp is not accessible and network path not found. i have tuned off windows and mcafee firewalls so that the only firewall functioning is with the modem/router(netopia) if i change the workgrp to the default(mshome) i can see the pcs.

My computer started shutting off and not turning on. I had installed new parts a while ago and so I switched the new parts with the old ones (power supply and Graphics card) and it worked again. But i couldnt connect to the internet and i did a diagnoses and it said adapter not found or correctly installed or something like that. I couldnt find the adapter either. I have attached my home network configuration. Only one part is not working. When the David-PC (win 7) tries to access the SharpeLaptop (XP) i get error code 0x80070035; NETWORK PATH NOT FOUND. This fails on wireless or ethernet hookup. All PC's are using McAfee Virus software which is supplied with ATT U-verse service. Trying to access the the daves-dell PC (XP) works fine Either of the 2 XP PC's can access the David-PC OK. I found two unknown computers on my network (using Explorer). I have a wireless setup at home (private) with a desktop (wired), two laptops and a phone (wireless).The encryption is WPA2/TKP with a hard to guess password. The two unknown computers were connected this morning and a few minutes after I tried to access them and do some checks,they disappeared could they have been watching me? I have always connected to other computers in my network, including my file server, and all of a sudden, it will not work. This is only happening on one computer. You can connect fine on all the others. I am running Windows 7 SP1, and in the network window, I can see the computers, but when I click on them to connect, it says "The network path was not found". If I access them via their IP in windows explorer, then I can access them . I have never seen this before. I attempted to disable Norton, I even un-installed it, and it still does the same thing.
