My main networking device is the Ericsson T073G HGU ONT, and when I am connecting to the network through the Ethernet there are no problems. However when I connect my Belkin F6D4230-4 router to it (through cable) my router cannot recognize the modem.I have tried literally everything.

View 18 Replies View RelatedHave a Belkin F6D4230-4 Version 3, both times we have stayed here we have noticed the same issue, we can connect to the router, but after a while it throws everything offline, and then you will see the orange light on the front of the router flashing. I usually have to reboot the router to get it to come back online. I did check the firmware version and it is the latest version 3.0 something, but it did say it was the latest?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Belkin N150 Enhanced Router Model F6D4230-4 V1. I upgraded it to the recent firmware.
I use it NOT to access internet, but only to hook up my desktop computer with my laptop and my tablet PC. I use Win7 Ultimate on both computers. I configured a Win7 home network and I managed to access shared files between the 3 devices.
However, the speed is very very low, not going over 1.5 MB per second , sometimes even less, although the signal strength is the maximum (54).
The distance between the laptop and the desktop is only 4-5 meters, in the same room. My laptop is HP Compaq 6710b which has what seems to be a "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection" .
Transfer speed is the same whether transferring from or to the laptop. I configured the laptop according to the instructions in the manual.
i forgot my admin password and i want to know if there is a way to retrieve or reset it. I have the enhanced wireless router model F6D4230-4 V1

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have xfinity internet with a comcast rented modem connected to a personally owned belkin router. I can successfully connect to the internet directly from the modem or if I connect to the modem to the router and then to my computer via ethernet cable. I cannot for the life of me connect wirelessly with any devices. The router previously worked when it was hooked up to comcast internet, but it was moden->router->my router. When I connect wirelessly on my Windows 7 laptop, it says I connect and that there is internet access. But when I try to load a page it takes me direclty to this website: url.. Comcast says that it is my router that needs configuring properly with xfinity and wants to charge me $39 to provide this wonderful service.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys WRT54GS router that is giving my some trouble. I recently got a new PC and moved my old one into my bedroom along with my Xbox 360. So I didn't have to switch my Ethernet cable between my xbox and pc I bought another cable. Much to my dismay this new cable would not work. At first I thought maybe the cable was bad, but when I connect my pc directly into my modem it works fine. This had my come to the conclusion that it was my router. I have two pcs hooked into it that work fine and a laptop that connects to it wirelessly, but if I try to hook my xbox or pc to it using the new cable they just act as if there isn't a cable connected. When I look at my router the light for the ethernet port that the new cable is in will flash on and off. I've hard reset my router and updated the firmware.

I have followed the instructions on the set up wizard but it fails to get a connection with the IP and DNS info I provide.I got the IP address info by connecting intially direct from the modem to the PC and then went to Run CMD and type ipconfig /all. I then started the set up wizard and followed the instructions, turning things on in specific order etc. After input the IP and DNS info it reports an error and tells me to check the address information is correct.My internet is a static IP connection (so it tells me and the IP information doesn't change).
