Aug 23, 2011My Motorola SBG901 Modem/Router combo has stopped connecting to the internet. I have done all the troubleshooting with Comcast and with Motorola and it is out of warranty, so I will have to purchase a new one.In the mean time, I wanted to use it only as a wireless router connected to my Scientific Atlanta DPC2100R2 modem. Is there anyway to do this? Is there a way to disable the modem in the SBG901? Simply connecting with the ethernet cords has not worked. I connected the DPC2100 to the SBG901 via ethernet cord. My computer was able to pick up a wireless connection but there is no cable connection.

Jan 15, 2012One moment the laptop was using the wireless connection from the router in our house and the next it lost internet access and then wasn't able to recognize the SSID or connection at all on the available wireless connections. We have reset the router and restarted the laptop countless times yet the only internet access we have is on the computer the router is hooked up to.The wireless connection works neither on the laptop nor the Wii, both previously works merely hours ago and with no problems until now.We assume there is an issue with the router itself, whether it be a loose ethernet cord (which only faintly can be moved in its place).It's almost as if the router is stopping them (Wii, and laptop) from having access. When we explore the wireless internet properties on the laptop, it shows the wireless connection, yet only there and doesn't give access to it. Could it be the router, or could the company have restricted WiFi only to the computer it is hooked up to?

Mar 18, 2013My Dell destop with Windows 7 all of a sudden doesn't seem to recognize my router, yet my laptop works fine (which I'm using now). After reading other posts, I reset the router with no results, used a new cable from the Belkin to the computer, changed ports, checked connections, restarted; nothing. When I do an ipconfig, a small window pops open and goes off before I can make anything out. I have followed the instructions on the set up wizard but it fails to get a connection with the IP and DNS info I provide.I got the IP address info by connecting intially direct from the modem to the PC and then went to Run CMD and type ipconfig /all. I then started the set up wizard and followed the instructions, turning things on in specific order etc. After input the IP and DNS info it reports an error and tells me to check the address information is correct.My internet is a static IP connection (so it tells me and the IP information doesn't change).

I have purchased TL-MR3040 especial for share my 3G account . I have connect it by ethernet port and made setups and it is in 3g/4g only mode. In system checks my modem indicated as " Identified" the modem is a Huawei E160E . My notebook and tablet connects by wireless connection to TL-MR3040 but the router does not dial ISP number *99# . The led on usb modem continues flashing. the 3G modem works perfectly with my notebook and tablet and I use the same parameters for TL-MR3040 with tablet. But most of the parameters don't exist on setup pages of TL-MR3040 . [code]

The TL-MR3220 takes a long time to identify the 3g modem and sometimes it will not identify it at all and says "unplugged". Sometimes "unplugged" suddenly apears after the modem has been identified and was working properly.Is this the normal behavior of this device ? Why ? What can be done ?
