I cannot get my new Nook Tablet to connect to my home wifi. it recognizes the network and authenticates the password but won't connect. Everything else in the house connects fine.Someone installed the router for me a couple years ago as a favour. It is a Linksys router.
I have a wireless router that was named and all the wireless equipment (laptop, ipod, phones) was connecting easily with no problems. Everything is saying "unable to connect". I have no clue what she did but she said her laptop asked her for the 8 number code from the router and she entered it.
I have a wireless router at home and i have a PC and a mac enabled for it. I have recently bought an IPAD and i can't connect for some reason. When asked for the password it doesn't enable me to connect so I'm worried that i've forgotten my password.
I have a problem. Yesterday I have upgraded both my SG300-20 switches to firmware v18.104.22.168. Now I cannot login on of my switches, unknown username and password. I am absolutly sure I have the password, because they are the same and I just upgraded it. I have re-booted the switch, but without any luck.
I got a D-Link router not too long ago and I set it up in an odd way, the router password I gave it during the setup would not be accepted but the Network Security Key (the randomly generated alphaneumeric code) was accepted. I used it to connect all of my wifi devices.
The router password (which doesn't work), the "network name (SSID)", the network security type, and the network security key were all saved on my desktop. My computer has since suffered a critical crash and had to have it's hard drive erased. I still remember the password, the network name, and the security type. But the NSK (the thing I need to connect in place of a password) has been lost. It was this long random string of letters and numbers that I couldn't remember for the life of me.
I also remembered my Admin password, so I am able to log into http://192.168.0.1, but in here I only know how to change the regular password. I don't know how to access or change the NSK. change the security setting so that I can use the actual password instead of the NSK? Because of the crash I lost my iTunes libraries so I'm going to have to reset all my iOS devices, which are primarily what I use wifi on. If I reset them, they'll forget the wifi network and the assosiated NSK password, so I won't be able to use wifi at all.
i tried to change my nat type to open, on my Netgear WNR2000v1.i connected throught typing my routers ip. (192.168.1.1)i watched a utube video, where someone told me that i had to changed something in the basic section to 2, instead of auto.now i cant connect to my router. ive tried with multiple pc's.
Alright, the computer I had cisco connect on crashed. I got a new computer and I'm trying to install Cisco connect using the downloaded version and I can't install it because it requests the password of the router, which i do not know. This is because I've lost the CD copy of Cisco connect. I've tried resetting the router itself by pressing the red reset button
I am wondering what the cable wires or sockets on the back of this router are for? could it be you can connect through the cable tv network the sockets fit perfectly in the back of the router thats a strange coinsidence dont you think?
What i am trying to do is that i have a server in my store which has a running software for the store. I have a TP Link Wifi card installed in my pc.. i need to access the server using an ip through the ethernet cable. And i access the internet via the wifi device installed and running in my pc. the problem now here is that i cannot access both of the simultaneously. If i connect back the ethernet cable the browser does not browse or the internet does not work.. and i can access my server software.. as i unplug the ethernet cable my wifi card installed starts working all good and i can use the internet.. i have tried a little of soultions but have not been successfull enough to use both the connections simultaneously..
I just bought a sony vaio laptop and I can't connect to the wireless network, it appears back and forward a message saying that the adapter is not found and then it says it is working and then it is not found again and so no.. Tried to connect the laptop using the WPS button but it did not work either.
I have one ADSL router that I have configured Port Forwarding on it, but the internet is very slow. I also have another 3G router and I want to use it for internet because it is much faster, but it cannot do Port Forwarding. How can I connect this two routers in one network such that ADSL router is for Port Forwarding only and 3G router is for internet only?
I can't get my Nook reader to connect. It is not a password issue. I entered all the info and the NOOK recognizes the DIR-601 connection, but it won't stay connected. There is a lock symbol showing and states that the dlink is "remembered, secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK" but when I try to connect it makes the attempt and then disconnects immediately. I have spent a couple of hours in the support section of the dlink site and can't figure this out
