D-Link DIR-601 :: Can't Get Nook Reader To Connect
Dec 26, 2011
I can't get my Nook reader to connect. It is not a password issue. I entered all the info and the NOOK recognizes the DIR-601 connection, but it won't stay connected. There is a lock symbol showing and states that the dlink is "remembered, secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK" but when I try to connect it makes the attempt and then disconnects immediately. I have spent a couple of hours in the support section of the dlink site and can't figure this out
I received Apple TV and a Kobo E-Reader over the holidays, and when I try to connect them to my wireless network, they fail in connecting; even with entering the correct password. Is there something that I need to do in terms of updating, being it should connect having the correct password.
I cannot get my JE200 reader to connect. I keep getting an error message stating "No networks available". I have been able to connect my e-reader to other wireless networks so I know it works.
Nook touch connects to home wifi but new nook tablet will not connect. Tries to authenticate two times then disconnects. Used same password. It connected to wifi in Barnes and Noble.
I am trying to connect my Nook tablet to my home wireless router for Wi-Fi access. I have a ubee router. I previously used the router for another e-reader.
I cannot get my new Nook Tablet to connect to my home wifi. it recognizes the network and authenticates the password but won't connect. Everything else in the house connects fine.Someone installed the router for me a couple years ago as a favour. It is a Linksys router.
I am stuck in an area that has severly restricted access. I would really like to continue to use my news reader services. However, the guy who set up the nearside router has torrent ports blocked, news group ports blocked, etc.So that people can't bog down the network with downloads.
have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and when I revived it from years of neglect I have come across a problem that I cannot connect to a wifi connection.I know that in order for the wifi to be found the wireless in my laptop has to be turned on, however the light on the side does not switch on.So far I have installed drivers and even bought a new wireless WLAN card...And still it does not work. The laptop runs fine with wired connection but I want to use wireless?
Is there a way to load a spare compact flash with a running-config, ASA IOS, & ASDM software via card reader? I need to load another flash card with all of the settings necessary for normal operation. This "spare" card will replace the flash that is currently in use. The reason for the replacement is capacity and because of changes made to the running-config. The "in-use" card is 256MB, the "spare" one is 512MB. Also, the new card will have a few changes made to the running-config, so it will, in essence, be a reload.
I have a card reader for the compact flash cards. If there is a way to load up this new card using the card reader, without monkeying with the firewall, I would prefer that. Like I said in the previous paragraph, this new flash card will replace the other one, once it's ready.
Hardware: ASA 5510 CF: 256MB (wanting to upgrade to the new 512MB card) ASA IOS: 8.4
How do I find my network security key? I am trying to connect my "nooK" to my laptop, but it wants the password to my network. I thought I had it, but the nook won't accept it.
I'm trying to connect my Nook Tablet to my wireless E-1000 router. I'm using a cable connnection for internet service. THe nook will find the network indicating "excellent" signal , but when it goes to authenticate it disconnects. After reading about WEP security, I switchedecurity setting of the Cisco router to "WPA Personal". Results are the same.

After I configure the WAN setting on TL-MR3020, my laptop unable to connect to my TL-MR3020 anymore, the message says "windows was unable to connect to TP-LINK_POCKET_3020_B5F9AD".
In my device I am able to browse through & connect to my HOME wifi network ; But after connecting it says 'No Internet Access'.I tried connecting with my SONY Bluray , iphone , ipad , laptops -- everywhere same story.I am able to plug in the ethernet cable directly from modem & able to connect to network.I am not able to open the http://192.168.0.1 -- ( When I am plugged in the modem directly)

I'm trying to connect to my home laptop from work. The home laptop is connected to DIR-655 router. I set up the internal and external ports to 3389 using both TCP and UDP protocols with the Application as "Remote Desktop". From my work PC I enter the external IP with :3389 and it fails to connect. I have also tried accessing internally which is failing too. All computers are running Windows 7 Home Premium Remote Access is enable on all.
I have a TP-Link (TL-WR941ND) wireless router in my living room and I want to expand my connectivity to get to the bedrooms area. I have a D-link (DI-524)wireless G router I want to take advantage of. How can I connect the two routers (no cables to be used) together so I can have acces to the internet from my room?
I had a dual channel netgear n600 set-up at 2.4 GHz working with three machines. I replaced it with the DIR-655 using my laptop to get better signal levels on one distant PCs . I setup the router from the laptop (win7) with the DIR-655 connected to the Cable modem output and did the set-up. Used the wizzard and the laptop is now working fine on the wireless network . Then went to other machines and the wireless signal as indicated by the laptop was fine. I reset the networking details on these PCs (Win 7 and win XP) and used the assigned network name, dlink, the security / pass key and same WPA security as prescribed on the DIR-655 router - to set up the network connection on these machines. The network adapters are fine on these machine but they will not connect to the dlink router. The win XP PC sees the network but the Win7 machine will not even see the network. Have doubled checked all the settings and I cannot see that anything is wrong with the settings ?? Note I do have an apple iphone that seems to be picking up the signal fine. Have turned off the modem and router numerous time but still have same problem.
At one point I had to return to the preset DIR-655 settings since the ID and pass word I had set would not longer allow me to access the router ?? I also notice that one D-Link panel says the UID is Admin whereas it was originally shown to be admin but could not be changed
I have recently had issues with my dlink which has been happily working for around 2 years. Now suddenly it will not connect to the Internet at all, I can find networks but it simply refuses to connect at all. I'm having to post this on my iPod so I can't even download any alternate drivers etc
I cannot connect to X-box live. The test connects to my router, to the internet, but fails on connecting to Xbox live. I tried changing from n to g. Set up port forwarding with dedicated IP address on xbox. Still same issue every-time. Even see the x-box listed on the router status page indicating that the static IP I assigned is hitting the router. Using WPA- personal for security and the X-box game adaptor with a D-Link- 655 router.
Until this morning, my computer had no problems automatically connecting to the router. Now I can't even manually connect to the network my D-Link router is on at all. Details on the router: has the latest firmware, hardware ver. B2. All the other devices (like gaming consoles) and computers in my home have no trouble connecting to that router.
I'm connecting to that router with my comp using wireless connection with D-Link DWA-552 network adapter. The adapter is also upgraded to the latest driver and I can get onto other connections in my home network. It's just the D-Link 615 I cannot connect to.
some problems I was having with the wireless schedule forcing a router reset when the schedule was enabled. D-Link eventually conceded that the problm is a faulty router. However, to have the router replaced will take 2 - 3 weeks, meaning I have to buy another router if I don't want to be offline for that long. So I've decided to save up my money to buy a new modem, and I've found that by having wireless enabled at all times works around the problem. However, around the same time I started diagnosing that problem I was changing various settings. At the time I may not have mentioned I have 2 PS3's here. These stopped being able to connect to the internet at around that time, and the kids tell me they didn't tell me about it because they knew I was working on other router problems, but now they want their PS3's to work on line so they can play online games.I have tried automatic configuration and manual configuration. I have the MAC addresses in the router, have set them up in the Network filters, and have a DHCP reservations. I have used the routers DNS and also tried OpenDNS addresses.I keep getting error 80710102 (DNS error), and when I first turn on a PS3 807101FF. Both PS3s exhibit the same symptoms.
I have a DIR-655 connected to a linksys switch via lan to lan. The 655 is on the other end of the house. I can not connect to the 655 to enable policies or make changes. I can connect for internet, thats all. I was told that I had to have the router IP close to the linksys (192.168.1.1). I wanted to change the ip address of the 655 to 192.168.1.2 . Every time I do this I can no longer connect to the 655 via lan. I have rebooted my computer and the 655. Nothing. I have to hard reset just to connect to it and start all over again.
