Linksys Wireless Router :: Connecting Nook Tablet With E1000?
Dec 27, 2011
I'm trying to connect my Nook Tablet to my wireless E-1000 router. I'm using a cable connnection for internet service. THe nook will find the network indicating "excellent" signal , but when it goes to authenticate it disconnects. After reading about WEP security, I switchedecurity setting of the Cisco router to "WPA Personal". Results are the same.
Nook touch connects to home wifi but new nook tablet will not connect. Tries to authenticate two times then disconnects. Used same password. It connected to wifi in Barnes and Noble.
I am trying to connect my Nook tablet to my home wireless router for Wi-Fi access. I have a ubee router. I previously used the router for another e-reader.
I have a wrt320n. works good with all my computers. I bought a Visio tablet and I can only hook up to an open network. I want to be able to use my router with security. Such as wpa/wpa2 or wep. I tried all connections. Only the open network is the only one that I can connect to.This my first tablet and I never hooked one up before.
I cannot get my new Nook Tablet to connect to my home wifi. it recognizes the network and authenticates the password but won't connect. Everything else in the house connects fine.Someone installed the router for me a couple years ago as a favour. It is a Linksys router.
why I am only able to connect at 39Mbps (often 5.5Mbps) to my Linksys E1000 Router? Residential. Wood Frame/Stick home construction. No other devices connected to router. <10 feet from E1000 Router. Line of sight (nothing in between router/laptop). New Dell Inspiron DW 1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card.
E1000 Network Mode: Mixed Channel Width: Auto (20MHz or 40MHz) Firmware: 2.0.01 build 08
At times I have seen it flash to 52Mbps but immediately drops to 39Mbps or lower (26, 5.5, etc.).Sales prop indicates up to 300Mbps. Where is the other 90% of the connection speed they’re talking about? OR is 39Mbps expected?
I have a Linksys E1000 router just upgrade to the latest 2.1.0.2 firmware...I have a PPPoE connection which used to run smoothly on the router..however off late...suddenly the router stopped connecting..it always shows "connecting" in the status tab of the router page...and eventually says failed to obtain IP address...however when I attach the cable directly into my PC it works just fine.I also had a word with my internet provider...he's kept the MAC open (or something like that) so he said that isn't the issue and he keeps saying there must be some issue with the router. However, occasionally the router DOES connect for half hour or so and then just refuses to connect again !..
I've got an issue with my router. The Linksys E1000.In my opinion it supports the Wireless-N mode, so does my wireless lan card which is the Atheros AR5B93 (also known as the Acer Nplify 802.11 b/g/n). When I connect to the router, it only connects in normal wireles mode, so no b,g or n mode. But when I look at the Client Tabel of the router all other devices connected to the router are in Wireless-G mode. Even my laptop doesn't connect in Wireless-G mode.I want to have my laptop connected in Wireless-N mode. What do I have to do, to make this working?
I have a Comcast Router pushing out IP's in the 10.1.10.X range. I want to hookup a Linksys E1000 Router so I can use its wireless & Guest access features. The Linksys is using the 192.168.1.x range. I have a cable from the comcast router running into the Internet port of the Linksys. I have tried changing the Linksys router IP to 10.1.10.x and turning off DHCP. It will not allow me to the internet nor allow the PC connected to it to connect to the PC that is attached to the Comcast Router. I cannot replace the Comcast as it is a combi router/modem.
i need to connect a linksys e1000 to an existing dlink router. i have tried several solutions that i have found on the internet, but none have worked. i need DETAILED instruction tailored to e1000 specifically because i am having trouble with dhcp definitions as i have not done this in years. i can get it to work, but i have to maintain security and everything i have done still allows me through to dlink router.
How do I find my network security key? I am trying to connect my "nooK" to my laptop, but it wants the password to my network. I thought I had it, but the nook won't accept it.
I have an application where it would be useful to use a windows tablet PC. However there is no wireless network available and so the tablet has to plug into a wall data point.
I am having an issue with my Android Tablet running 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is able to the SSID, but when I try to connect - it stays connecting and then says saved, and never connects, as it does not pick up an IP address. I updated the firmware on the Aironet 1140 due to my Windows 8 pc's not connecting as well, it solved my Windows 8 problem, just not my Android Tablet problem. My Ipads do work. Just any android device I connect.
I have a wrt54gs linsys router with speedbooster. I bought my son a tablet for xmas. I cannot connect the tablet to the network. It finds my network, searches for an IP address, and then disconnects. It will connect for about 2 seconds, and then shows disconnected. My PC's, and WII work fine, although getting the WII ad netflix to reconnect after a power outage is like rocket science requiring field support every time. My tablet wont stay connected, and the book tells me that the router must accept 802.11b/g, and that if it has 802.11n, then it needs to be reconfigured to accept 802.11b/g.
I'm trying to connect my Cisco lab to the internet. I've configured my 2611 to accept DHCP. I can ping the Linksys E1000 router but can't ping the modem on the other side, and cannot get out to the internet with the PC that's connected to the lab. When I look at the DHCP table in the E1000 the 2611 shows up in the table. I can ping all other computers on the lan, just not the modem to get out to the net.I have the configuration for the 2611. Did I miss something. Is the modem blocking ICMP traffic?
Router#sh run Building configuration... Current configuration : 931 bytes ! version 12.3 service timestamps debug datetime msec
I've got a E3000 router and I'd like to be able to stream movies and access files from the USB connected HD on my router to my galaxy tablet.I understand that this can be done. I've poked around and cannot find anything that's worked for me.
The company I work for uses a Cisco ASA 5510 router. We currently have an IPsec VPN set up and useres connect through the Ciso VPN client using group authentication, then they are prompted for a username and password, and use the same username/password they log on to thier work computers with. Some of the users have recently got Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablets and would like to connect to the VPN using those tablets, but I can't figure out how to get the tablets to work. I've tried the anyconnect app for the andriod market as well as creating a VPN connection from the Tablet's settings page, but no luck either way. Perhaps I'm not entering a setting right? Has any one had any luck getting andriod tablets to connect to a Cisoc VPN?
I own a E1000 router that I use with several wireless machines. Unfortunately, I cannot connect to the configuration of the router by typing url...in a browser, be it wireless or weirdly. For example, Firefox displays "Connection has been reinitialized". Furthermore, when I launch Cisco Connect, it only shows the error "Unable to connect to router". I tried to switch my router off and on, but that doesn't work. Totally resetting the router solves the problem, but not definitely. Is there a solution that does not require resetting my router?
My guest can't use my wireless network and I can not add more devices like a ipad2. Got a new ipad2 for my son for Christmas been trying to set it up for Christmas, so on Christmas day I am not trying to do the set up. My problem is I can not get it to log on to the network. I have been putting in the same pass word all my other computers in the house use but it will not work...
My wireless router (E1000) was accidentally unplugged. Since then the wireless LED light doesnt come on and the router cannot be detected. All the other lights are on. I tried to reset it but I dont think it worked, since the power LED didnt blink as its supposed to do after holding reset for 10-15 seconds (or more!!).
I've been using the E1000 for months. I have 2 iphones, an ipod, a windows 7 netbook and a macbook connected wirelessly to it. It's been set at wpa2/wpa mixed mode all this time without a problem. Out of the blue: no wireless connection on any device. I restarted the modem, router, PC's, phones, etc. I've updated the firmware. The only way I can get a wireless connection is to use wep. How can I get the better security and speed of wpa2 back?
I am trying to access the internet with my ipod and it is picking up my wireless connection but it is asking for a password, how do I get my password. I don't remember seeing a password when I hooked up my router several months ago. I called Cisco for some technical support but they wanted money to get me and I am not paying them a dime.
