Dec 25, 2011I have a wrt54gs linsys router with speedbooster. I bought my son a tablet for xmas. I cannot connect the tablet to the network. It finds my network, searches for an IP address, and then disconnects. It will connect for about 2 seconds, and then shows disconnected. My PC's, and WII work fine, although getting the WII ad netflix to reconnect after a power outage is like rocket science requiring field support every time. My tablet wont stay connected, and the book tells me that the router must accept 802.11b/g, and that if it has 802.11n, then it needs to be reconfigured to accept 802.11b/g.

Aug 21, 2011I can connect to my router but either way it seems like i can't get any internet access (both wireless and by cable): url...I have tried the steps that the linksys FAQ suggests shall fix this problem, but this has not worked. I have also tried to reset the router without any luck. I know it its not the modem that is causing the problem because I'm wired to it now.On the E2000 every light is blinking as it should be (hence the FAQ) so it indicates that there might be a problem with the connection between the router and the computer (tested on other computers too without success).

Jul 2, 2012About a month ago I set up FTP on my QNap for the first time. To my surprise I was able to connect to it from an outside network with no further configuration needed. Since then I have had a bit of an issue with firmware. I ended up wiping and upgrading the QNap. Since then I am unable to connect. Some resources are saying the only problem is that I don't have port forwarding set up. I guess my default router settings were already set up to forward the port (I'm not sure how to confirm) because it worked originally, the only thing that changed is my QNap settings. I would like to be able to use it as a FTP, MySQL database, and a few other things. Will I have to do a different configuration for each one?
My network set up is like this: Verizon Router/Modem -> Linksys Router e2000 -> Qnap (ethernet)
I accessed my verizon router and under port forwarding it says "Protocol: FTP, Ports: TCP Any -> 21". NAT is disabled on the Linksys so does that mean I won't have to configure it at all because it is set up in bridged mode as a dummy switch?
What IP should I be using to try to access it remotely?
When I try to connect to my QNap IP I get this in Filezilla:

Apr 24, 2011My internet cut out last week and after calling my ISP I found out it was in fact my router that was causing the problem (regular connection to PPOE works fine). I've only had my E2000 about 2-3 months and have not had any problems with it. I've restarted the router, done a factory reset, upgraded the firmware, renewed the IP and still I cannot get any connectivity. I can access the router UI fine and I get a response from pinging it and also I have tried replacing the cables but that didn't fix the problem either.

Dec 7, 2011I'm using E2000 currently and meet a wireless connection problem. The speed can up to 300M bps. When I confiured the E2000 to band auto (20-40mhz) and my wireless network card to work at also auto (20-40) mode, it always down to 144M speed when connection.
If I changed some settings in E2000's wireless configuration, in the status sheet I can see it works at 40MHZ. But after a while,(5-10 mins) it automaticly down to 20MHZ and my labtop connect only got a 144M speed.
how can I deal with that to make it always keep at 300M connection? Note the previous router I used to connect to my lattop can always keep that speed.

May 22, 2012My internet is hooked via cat6 ethernet cable to my Cisco/linksys E2000 Router.Sometimes the net works fine, and there are no problems. Other times, after 10 minutes or so after booting up, net pages stop loading. The small yellow exclamation mark appears, and every time I run the troubleshooter, the same info comes back to me - DNS server is not responding. Until I restart again the internet wont work, but on occasion things seems to fix themselves and continue working until I shut down.This problem never happened before i moved back home. In my previous apartment we had comcast cable and it ran without a hitch. Since I have been home this DNS problem has persisted, but only on my computer. I run the only windows PC in the house - my family is mac happyThings I have trie - I have tried "netsh winsock reset" in the command prompt, I have run virus and spyware scans several times over, Have reset the modem, router, and the Mac which hosts my 'home network'-come to think of it, I haven't tried reinstalling my LAN driver, but that seems insignificant b/c it has never once had problems.

It worked fine until one day, without any change at all, it simply stoped working. I mean, I can still connect through my wifi laptop connection (it shows connected to my router and says that I have an excelent signal). But, I can't reach the internet. But, If I unplug the internet cable, and plug it in my laptop, the connection works fine. A friend told me that this could be caused intentionally by the internet provider, that they would block my signal to avoid me using a wireless router, trying to force consumers to sign their own wireless service. Thus, by this friend advice, I've cloned my laptop's MAC address to the router. It didn't work either.

Sep 7, 2012I have a Cisco E2000. When i connect to my cable modem directly, I get 30-35 MBps down and about 10 up. When I plug in to my E2000 it does that at first... but slowly over time, the speed degrades, usually down to about 5-6 down and 3-4 up. If I unplug the router, it typically restores full speed, but not for long (a few days maybe). Also, when I unplug the router, it is pretty hot.

Nov 11, 2011I have an E2000 router that has an intermittent issue where Bonjour drops out. Suddenly my Apple TV won't see my computers, and my iPad won't see my network printer. This happens whether the Apple TV and computers are connected via wired or wireless interfaces.
Restarting the devices does not solve the issue.
Restarting the router solves the issue (until it happens again...)
My router is version 1.0, with 1.0.04 firmware.
Linksys Wireless Router :: E2000 PC Gets Choppy In 40 Mhz Mode
Jul 11, 2011I have a e2000 router and a wmp600n wireless card in my desktop pc. Everything works fine until I enable 40 mhz for faster speeds in the e2000 router. When I do this the router switches from 20 mhz to 40 mhz and I get the faster speed. But the effect of this is that my pc gets all "choppy". What I mean is that everything freezes up every few sec. For example when im minimizing windows, the windows freeze half way for about a sec then unfreezes. My mouse does the same thing, even my sound is choppy. I have to switch my router back to 20 mhz and then everything is fine again.
Using windows 7 64 bit
Using newest dirvers and firmware from Linksys.
