View 1 RepliesIntermittently, say, once or twice a day for several hours, I will be completely unable to connect to servers - I can still use the internet ok, but things such as online multiplayer games, last.fm, youtube, steam refuse to work. Some give errors saying that they are unable to connect to the servers, others claim that the server connection is fine. It happens most commonly in the early hours of the morning (GMT), if that is of any use?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been having this problem for the past few weeks, if not months. For a few days, or maybe around a week lol, I havent been able to connect to any Game-servers, may that be Steam, League of Legends, Guild Wars 2 or any of that. I have opened all ports, firewalls are disabled/uninstalled. I've seriously tried every single thing I've read, but I can't get anything to work. My sister can play without any problems, so I think it has something to do with my PC.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have been a loyal customer of a hosting company for over 10 years. The main reason I have a dedicated server is to eliminate those shared-hosting issues. For the past 4 years the service has been getting crappier. In fact; this week alone the ftp stopped working, mysql stopped working, and email. It is now to the point I have to move all my domains, mssql databases, mysql databases, email servers and countless files.I have been contemplating to set up my own dedicated server (Mac) and hook it up to my ISP. Most of the websites I host are local - only one or two are national/international.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a home network with 3 machines. In switch mode "residential gateway" I can connect to MySql on local network, but not remotely (internet). In "cable modem" I can connect to local both network and Internet, with the MySQL server, but I can only use one machine on the network.
I have opened port 3306 in Windows Firewall and the moden-router and redirected to the IP of the machine that has MySql Server. I have dynamic IP, but my ISP gives you the same IP by sector, so I can do testing.
How to get my connection to work well on local network and the Internet, using the mode "residential gateway"?
I have done some searching, but I am unable to find a solution to this problem. I am wondering if there are any solutions that I was unable to find.
View 13 Replies View RelatedBasically, I have a LAMP server for a small landing page for myself. It was all working fine until I got my new router. Now, I can only access my sites on a LAN.All the ports (3306, 80, 22) are opened and multiple port checkers online says so.I followed some of the basic steps mentioned in this forum such as firewall settings such as:
"Port and Address Restriced"
disabled QoS
Enabled Multicast Stream
enabled DNS Relay
set DHCP range to avoid any IP conflicts
Ive even temporarily removed all firewalls completely to make sure that is not the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a media server, running Windows Server 2003, it is also acting as my Domain controller, DNS and DHCP Server, I have a website hosted at UKHost4u.com, and I can also access my media server using the name url, I have pointed this subdomain to my external IP address of my router, in the Cpanel of my hosting acount now my problem is that I can not access my main website from my house, it just sends me to the login screen of my Media Server, it is something to do with the DHCP Server running on my server, as I turned it off and turned the one on my router back on and it cleared the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having a strange intermitent problem with my E1500 wireless router. When we first bought and installed it everything was working well with no known problems. After several months no one using the router was able to access certain websites as well as a game server that we play on. No one had made any changes to the router settings and I assumed at first that it was an ISP problem. After talking with our ISP tech support they finally suggested plugging my PC directly into the modem rather then the router. I did and found that the websites and servers that previously wouldn't connect while using the router were now reachable. Any changes to the router settings since installation.I decided that just in case someone unauthorized had made changes to simply revert the router to factory settings and reinstall the software. After doing this I found that I could again reach the websites and servers that I previously could not. So time went on with no problems until a few months later when the same websites and servers were again unreachable by anyone on our router. I again reset the router to factory settings and changed passwords as a precaution, but this time the websites and servers were unreachable even though I had just reset the router.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a issue that i am at a loss as how to solve it. I have an ASA 5505 as my firewall. I have users from other companies who visit from time to time and are unable to use their outlook email to send messages. They can however receive messages without a problem. I also have a situation where users who use windows live to access gmail are unable to send messages.
I have narrowed it down to the fact that these uses are using ssl/tls to send the mails. I did some research and found out about the inspect esmtp setting in the ASA. I have disabled it and i still have to problem. I have also removed all outbound deny statements and still no luck.
Of note is that i can send emails without attachments. They take a long time to go out ( from minutes to hours) but eventually they do. Emails with attachments of even 10k do not go at all.
I was running image 8.2.3 and i downgraded to 8.0.5...still did not work...i upgraded to 8.4.3...still did not work. I am now back at 8.2.3.
My Firewall config is attached. I am at my wits end as to what else to try. The company has not renewed support for the device so i am on my own here!
I am in the process of opening an internet cafe. I dont know exactly what a pc server does on the network... or do I really need one? Is the switch/hub sufficent to connect all pcs to the moderm to connect to the internet?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with my work computer where it can connect to all of the servers in the company accross the country EXCEPT the servers located in New Jersey. I am running Windows XP SP3. I am able to ping the servers and get a response back, but my network drives are disconnected and I cannot open them. I have tried completely uninstalling the driver for my network adapter and reinstalling it with no affect. Mine is the only computer having this problem and I have uninstalled all software that was installed within the past month to be sure. It is ALL of the servers in New Jersey so I know it's a problem with my computer and not the serers. I had a similar issue a while ago where I could ping Google, but could not get to the website, and that ended up being the ZoneAlarm firewall that I had. That was fixed by uninstalling ZoneAlarm and doing an ipconfig /release & /renew. I re-registered some dlls but that didnt work either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedPut bluntly, my laptop will not connect to any ftp site/server via any of the following methods:Command Line Software FTP Clients (Filezilla and other such programs) Windows Explorer (window) Browsers
However, if I try to use a WEB-BASED client, I am able to connect without a problem. What's stranger, if I try to connect to the same server on a different computer using the same wireless network (I'm running on Wifi), that computer has not problem connecting to the FTP server via all the methods mentioned above. So that should at least eliminate the wireless network itself from the list of possibilities.
And to the best of my knowledge it has nothing to do with the firewall as I've made every possible setting tweak to allow ftp connection in and out - I've even turned off the firewall and antivirus with no luck.
Which is why I have reason to believe it has to do with my laptop itself.
my partner cannot connect to the internet on her computer. I have tried disabling the ipv6, typing in oranges dns server in the ipv4,and attempted to find the dns automatically. I tried running the ipconfig, but it flashes up for a second then goes off before I can look at it. As mentioned I am with Orange, I contacted them and they wanted to run the computer through an ethernet cable and reset everything which I think is a pain in the backside and I know it should be a bit simpler than that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a ISA 2006 server with a static WAN IP that runs our Office, 2 DC's (1 file server), One sharepoint, and 20 Desktops, In the same rack i have a webserver with its own static WAN IP NOT connected to the Local network (to keep it secure and keep Users from using that as web access). The cable modem has 2 ip's. that goes to a switch , one leg feeds the ISA which in turn feeds the LAN switch. the other leg feeds the webserver. Is it possible to connect the Webserver to the LAN, but keep the WAN IP and not allow users to use that connection to the internet. ( keep all internet traffic going through the ISA ) but allow the webserver to transfer backups and such to the File Server on the LAN. FYI: the Webserver has 4 NIC's
