I can also install some Windows APP from the store, however, all live feed seems blocked..Tried quite a lot work around but no cure. Could I setup another internal proxy server (linux based) which store my LDAP user name/password in order to access the external resource and all Windows8 machine shall point the proxy to this Linux proxy server so it can use my LDAP user name/password.

Oct 25, 2011we have two servers in our network, one functions as a file server (windows server 2008) and the other as a domain controller with active directory and some database applications running on it (windows SBS 2003). the file server has folders for the different units in our company, these are shared folders. these folders can be accessed by anyone with a domain login by running \servername from their computers, without any further authentication required.
i have tried to set up sharing restrictions with no success, for example the Accounts folder, i right click on it and select properties, and the sharing or security. under both tabs i added three names of those that i want to have access to the folder. these names appear in the sharing list together with:administrator(servernameadministrator) administrators (servernameadministrators) administrator systemeveryone has not been added as is the case with all other folders. what is this system on the list? how i can restrict access, perhaps there is a setting that i have missed or settings in the network that prevent these restrictions?

Problem is, since yesterday i discovered thta i cannot access the internet for any machine connected via the proxy (and any dhcp-assigned machines). As a result, even the webmail is not accessible from any machine.When i tried, i changed some computers so that they connect directly to the router -and they work fine for the internet. May 9, 2012I am trying to create a port channel between HP servers (4 nic) and two nexus 2k. The server side its a single team with 803.2ad fault taulerence and on the nexus side it have created two port channel (port channel 1 for nexus 2k1 and port channel 2 for nexus 2k2) and made them ACTIVE (channel group mode active)
But when i add a another server on different ports and port channel them the same way as the above server on nexus 2k1 and nexus 2k2, the first server stops pinging. so i have to sht down the first port channel and reopen them - then it works, however it says NO NETWORK ACCESS on the servers (running windows 2008). the only way is to reboot the server i cant be doing this on a production network.

So when I download some file from file sharing site, and if my internet connection breaks, my download can't resume from where it had stopped since my IP adress is changed.But if I stop the download manually (without breaking internet connection), as the IP address remains same, I can resume the download from that point. I mean can I use a proxy server so that everytime the download resumes, it reports a constant (static) IP to the website?
