When i access a url with http, it works fine. But with https it dosen't work, and get the message on the firefox as "The proxy server is refusing connections Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct. Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.
View 1 RepliesI have an ASA 5505 that I am using to connect my contractors to via an inside interface, the outside interface is my private LAN. I have setup on our corporate Proxy server to allow traffic from my outside interface of my ASA to go to the internet without credentials BUT log internet activity. The question is I want to know if the ASA can send that http & https traffic to my proxy server and all other traffic to my default route? I want to be able to send all internet traffic to my proxy server. This will avoid me asking the contractors to place proxy credentials in their browsers.

They told me it is disabled for security reasons, and everytime I try to ping a host, the connection times out.However I normally use ping as a good diagnostic to check if I have an internet connection or not. We experience frequent network problems, and I'd like to be able to at least narrow down the problem each time. Are there any other diagnostic tools/utilities I can use to test internet access? When I lose my internet connection, I'd like to be able to test if it is because my computer has lost its connecton to the proxy server, or if the proxy server has lost connection to the outside world.

I can ping 192.168.1.254 gateway for about 5 seconds and lose the Ethernet connection.On IE nothing happens.Is there any tool I can use to find the router address or update firmware or restore factory default settings.

Lately i have a vpn for PDA's through GSM lines where am supposed to connected a Modem (part of VPN)to this server so that PDA' s and modem can be on the vpn.The problem is that when I connected the GSM Modem the internet connection through router get disconnected. View 3 Replies View RelatedWe just replaced our ancient 6509 dedicated SAN switch with a Nexus 5548UP (with 4 2248 FEXs).Our old SAN 6509 was completely separated from the Core 6509, and that Core 6509 doubled as a Datacenter switch. We've now segmented the "Datacenter" and "Core." The SAN and servers are connected to the Nexus gear rather than the Core. The old SAN had only 3 vlans. One for SAN data (Vlan16), one for management interfaces (Vlan250), and one for switch management (Vlan15).
As part of my cleanup, I want to get rid of that Vlan15 and use vlan250 for switch management. In another building, we have a 3750 that provides SAN (Vlan16) and management (Vlan250) connectivity to a single Equallogic box and a Dell PowerVault tape drive for backup purpose. That 3750 is the only device that still has an address on Vlan15 (other than the core). Refer to the drawing below.
The Core 6509 is the gateway for Vlan250 and Vlan15. I have created an interface for Vlan250 on the 3750. ACLs exist on vty connections of each switch allowing telnet access ONLY from the Mgmt 2960. There are no ACLs on the Vlans themselves.From the Mgmt 2960, I can telnet to the 3750 using either its Vlan250 IP address or its Vlan15 IP address. However, if I shut down Interface Vlan15 on the Core 6509, I can no longer telnet to the 3750, not even using its Vlan250 IP address.
The connection times out. If I attempt to telnet to the 3750 via Vlan250 from the Core 6509, I get connection refused (which I should get due to the ACL on the vty connections). I can still telnet to other devices on Vlan250 (such as the management interfaces on the Nexus 5Ks). Why am I able to telnet to the 3750's Vlan250 Interface only when the Core's Vlan15 Interface is Up?

Have tried re-flashing firmware to current version (was already on it), disabled SPI, disabling Denial of Service, all no change.Also noted another issue with logging; bug? When the router was brand new out of box and again after firmware flash:
* the "All" drop down of System Log was BLANK, not logging any entries although other drop downs such as "System Log and Firewall Log were
* email alerts were not being triggered for log entries
* clear log button appears to resolve the issue after which the ALL shows all entries now

I am trying to setup port-forwarding (6360 for IP 192.168.1.111 & 6361 for IP 192.168.1.112) on this TD-W8968 modem. But when I test it on [URL]. I get a message "connection refused".
I tried to use a different proxy but couldn't access internet at all. it seems all the LAN traffic is forced to go through the LAN proxy.

Problem is, since yesterday i discovered thta i cannot access the internet for any machine connected via the proxy (and any dhcp-assigned machines). As a result, even the webmail is not accessible from any machine.When i tried, i changed some computers so that they connect directly to the router -and they work fine for the internet. Problem is, I am still not able to access webmail.What could be the problem with the proxy.?(NB Postfix is running and http too is running).

While on the VPN, I can ping and traceroute to the servers but I cannot HTTPS.We are using the 3000 series concentrators and also ASA's.This thing was working fine until recently we did a network migration from 6500's to Nexus.

On my PC laptop, when we try to connect to the internet (wireless router) through firefox we get the error message"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server @ cn-us.start3.monzilla.com. When we try using Window explorer we get "Internet Explorer can't display webpage" When prompted to click on "diagnose connection problem" it states Windows did not find any problems with this computer network connection.
A couple of points... the connection indication at the bottom states the laptop is connected to the internet. (WLAN ON)I have a Mac that is connected to our internet and doesn't have any problems.We have Windows Vista on the PC laptop

I even did a diagnostic through windows on a specific website and it said that everything checked out and that it was a web site issue, which I find hard to believe since I can access it through my phone
View 9 Replies View RelatedEver since setting up this router it has been giving me problems on my laptop, connected wirelessly. At random intervals, throughout the house, an error saying "Connection was reset" comes up in firefox when browsing the web. I've tried resetting the router twice, and updating my network adapter's(Intel 465AGN) drivers. Neither of these worked. No settings on the router were modified, other than enabling the Qos engine. Signal quality isn't the problem either as it is full at all times. On my other computers, three connected through wireless and one through wired, there have been no problems at all and they perform very well.

Everything was working fine up to the identification of a problem using firefox browser. With Chrome and IE works fine.
The user is trying to upload a file to one of the 4 nodes. When the costumer click at the send button, the Firefox shows the following message: Connection Reset.
This problem just happens when the user try to upload the file. Whe he's just surfing through the system, works fine.
