So my mine concern is the the networking configuration itself I know that the PCs have to given workgroups that's easy but in terms on the netgear router will it router the connection automatically as will the switches?Like I said its the small things that will be a pain, I know the job of switches is to automatically router the data.

Jun 21, 2011I just installed my new DCS-2121 and enabled upnp to be able to watch the feed from my mobile.While being on vacation I noticed that the feed redirected to some strange Russian site,[URL]Back home now, I noticed that the /m/m/index.html file contains an iframe at the bottom, that redirects there. So someone (not me) has been able to alter the index on the wap site and add that at the end some way or the other.While Googling I found only one reference on a French forum, and other than the lack of newer firmware for the camera no direct reactions to this.I tried with a simple PUT to put the original file back, without the iframe at the bottom, but there I get a 403.
- When can we expect new firmware to fix this HUGE security problem?
- How to restore the original (and yes, I tried a factory reset, but that doesn't restore the html files it seems)
- How did they manage?
It seems from the config db that it's an OEM'ed alphanetworks.com camera with a lot more options that d-link put in there. Any input from them maybe, it seems they are writing the firmware?

Mar 12, 2011Recently returned from a holiday where thee were various free wifi hotspots. Some needed a password which the cafe just gave you if you asked, others were open. My laptop connected without any problems at all these places except one. Other people at the same cafe did not have any problems but mine would not connect - kept receiving messages about certificates. The cafe owner even tried and could not connect to my laptop. Sep 19, 2011i have high speed internet from charter(i know they are not the best but more on that later) with actually download speeds tested online around 10-13mbps on average. i keep my computer pretty clean, running smart defrag, cleaning the disk, anti virus, only have programs running in the background that are needed, have increased my virtual memory and also use readyboost with a 4 gb flashdrive that i allow to use all the flashdrive memory as "ram" memory. so i think this has be something below the surface and that i cannot handle on my own. i do not think it is my internet provider because i have to roommates that have computer and they have no problem usually with the internet. when i say usually i mean they have problems sometimes maybe 3-4 times weekly where i have problems at least 2-3 times a day.

Apr 12, 2012It was monday night when it started playing up. I literally have had it right now. To watch a simple 1 minute long video on youtube I will have to wait about 10 minutes before it is fully loaded. It takes about a minute to load an internet page and it is not just my computer, it is also happening on all other wireless devices and wired (3 laptops, 4 phones, ipad, ipos etc.)
