View 2 Replies View RelatedHave had an issue with a previous Belkin router and having similar issues with current DIR 825. Internet is dropped when opening up the Mac Book (Using N or G). Sometimes the internet connection still works with i Pad and iPhone, sometimes it doesn't. As well, sometimes I can turn WiFi off on the Mac Book and then turn it back on, and it will work for about the time it takes to load one webpage and then it will cut out again.
Every time this happens I can unplug the power from the router and plug it back in which has fixed the issue in every case.
HW ver is B1
FW ver is 2.05
ISP is Cable
Modem is standalone.
I purchased this router and a Motorola Surfboard SB5101U for my home network. My current set up at home for devices connected to router are as follows:
2 Macs and 2 iphones - Wireless
2 Directv boxes, 2 blu-ray players and xbox360, Ethernet cabling.
The issue I am having is that everyday at-least 7-8+ times my internet will just stop coming through. I never lose connection to the router it's self. But I cannot load webpages/content on any of my devices. They always show as being connected fine to the router though. I have attempted to call Cox cable, my ISP, to resolve the issue. And I am always told that everything looks fine on their end and that the issue must lie with the connection between the Modem and router. The rep then walks me through a complete reboot of both router & modem and of course, the issue is resolved 100% of the time. I am trying to fix the issue my self to avoid a $50 service call fee from Cox which could still not fix any issues at all. Since I have done some searching and found some advice on making changes to the configuration of the router. But time after time I continue to get the same issue.
We are using some desktops as static ip wired and laptops using automaic ip wireless, issue is that in wireless sinal shows yellow marks on laptops no internet but actually getting internet.

The sun sign on the modem has been flashing for a couple of days but I am still getting the internet. Is there anyway I can find out why its doing this? I have tried rebooting but still starts to flash.
I just purchased the AP1141N and I have created a logon account to access the device via URL which works fine but after 10 minutes it logs me out and requires that I log back on. Unfortunately it won't allow me to log back on unless I reset the device then I have another 10 minutes before it asks me to login again but then it won't accept my logon again without a reset.
I can logon with my account via the console logon but I don't know how to configure the access point via command line so I use the web interface. I have disabled the timing for security but didn't work.
we plan to implement the SMB Pro AP541 for a guest access solution.is there a lobby ambassador like on the big wireless lan controller?is it possible to sign a guest a time frame - e.g. guest user has only 60 min access to the internetis it possible to enter a lifetime for the guest user - e.g. guest user can only login until 10.10.2010

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm suffering from an annoying problem with my E4200 router. I have a DSL connection. I have my DSL modem in bridge mode and I have my router set up to sign into my ISP's PPPoE to avoid double-routing. This set up worked marvelously with my previous WRT54G and WRT610N routers. Now the E4200 signs me out of PPPoE every ten minutes or so. I have the connection setting on "Keep Alive" but it seems to be dropping the connection regularly. I took the router back and was given a replacement. The new router is doing the same exact thing and now I am beyond the 30 day return limit so I'm stuck with the E4200. I'm running the latest firmware 1.0.03
I reinstalled the WRT610N and the connection is steady but the WRT610N has its own problems (devices connected via wireless cannot see wired devices and vice-versa). I'd like my new router to actually work properly. I've ruled out errors on my end and given that two brand new units of the E4200 generated the same problem I tend to believe it is a design error.
I am using the cisco linksys E1200 WiFi router. when ever I connect my laptop to WiFi, its show Limited connectivity/Yellow Caution sign when connected.
I try to reconfigre it & also in factory default mode it show same.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have the Linksys E2000 and set it up on MacBookPro no problems. My iPhone 3G and my gf's iPhone4 connect no problem. Also, I have an XBox 360 connected via ethernet cable. Her MacBook however is constantly not getting an IP. I set her up with an EZ Key, but every time she connects we have to go through the EZ key process where I run Cisco Connect from my laptop. Why can't she just log in every time? This is frustrating me as all other aspects of this router work fine. I had her plugged into it as well with no problems. Again, it works after a dual computer Cisco Connect cycle, but my computer isn't always home.

My MacBook Pro (about 18 months old) claims to support a/b/g/n, but it only wants to connect using 802.11g. It's running Snow Leopard. The laptop and the router are about 3 feet apart. Is there some incompatibilityin the version of 802.11n they support?
I have an RV180W Wireless-N with firmware# 1.0.1.9 The problem is that any Macintosh computer will not work with the wireless network. The problem is consistent with several MacBook laptops, running Leopard, Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion. The MacBook connects with the wireless network and obtains an IP address. However when the MacBook tries to access a web page, it fails loads.Accessing LAN assets like network volumes and printers works fine. All mobile devices, such as iPhones, iPods and iPads work fine.I have tried numerous wireless settings on the router and the MacBooks and nothing works. The problem happens regardless of what kind of wireless security is present. There is not MAC filter.
