Nov 24, 2011I've had my WRT54GL for a few months now and have two computers that are wired and 3 that are wireless. I started having problems with conflicting IP's a couple days ago on one of my wired computers which was set for auto DHCP so I changed the settings and made it a static IP, this is when the problem started. I have Network Magic on all computers and even though it says I'm connected to the internet and the network, I am not able to get online. My other wired computer has been on Static IP for months and works fine.

I connected the Router to the modem, and all the wired connected PCs were working perfectly.But then, i went to the setup page to configure the Wireless settings, and as soon I changed the SSID name, the connection internet connection droppedThe only way i had to fix this was by making a Hard Reset.after that, I also tryed changing values and settings from all the configuration tabs, and the wired connection was working properly, but as soon i changed any value from the Wireless tab, the internet connection dropped (even, in the diagnostics section, i could not do a ping to google. It says unknown host).

Jul 8, 2011I just got a WRV 210 wireless router (three of them actually, planning to set up a VPN). But I can't set the admin password. I've tried 4 times, and every time, i've got to hold the reset button to reset to factory settings in order to access the management pages! I enter the new password in both fields, and then click to save the settings. It restarts. Then i try to log in - and it doesn't accept the new password. It doesn't accept the default password. I've tried with admin/(new password) and (new password)/(new password), and admin/admin. None of them work, forcing me to reset router to factory settings. I've tried a password composed of 6 letters followed by a . Thinking that maybe the . was throwing it off, I tried 6 letters followed by 3 numbers. That doesn't work either. I've updated to firmware version 2.0.1.5. No luck.

But when i created a guest account using this guest role, after webauthentication , there is no prompt to change password. Is this the intended behaviour or is there anything else that i need to configure. Looking at it, i am not sure how the NGS would allow a "guest user" to really overwrite the password by allowing password change. ? is that not a security risk as well for the NGS ? my setup has 5508 anchor controller and NGS communicating via RADIUS.

I connected am Ethernet wire to one of the ports of the 2wire, and connected it to the 2nd Cisco Wireless N Router. The signal gets to the 2nd Cisco Router. However, when I attempt to access the Internet on the CPU connected to the 2 Cisco Router, I get an error Message saying that there is a problem with the Modem and/or Router. On the available Networks selection screen I can see the connections that I want. The selection info shows connected. But when I try to connect, the I can't.

1) I'm using a single subnet eg 192.168.1.0/24 for my wireless clients and i'm assigning them via the DHCP server from the WLC. As the clients are however made up of laptops and scanners, i would like to assign a range from 50-150 for the laptops and 151-250 for the scanners for easier identification. But it seems that from the WLC DHCP menu i'm not able to do this unless i segment them into a different network with different gateways.
2) Is there anyway to change the WLC user accounts password too? I dont seems to be able to find the option unless i delete the account and re-create it with the new password.

Jun 11, 2012I had to default my wireless router " Netgear WGR14V6" and since then I haven't been able to connect with my wireless card. I can physically connect to it with a cable but I can't access it with the wireless card. When I look at the properties it says that it is working fine but I can't seem to find where to change the "SSID and the security phrase". Usually when it is up and running it has a status button and when you click on it there is a tab that you click on and it shows you the SSID and the rest, but now since it is not connected there isn't anything that I can find to change this.
