View 1 Replies View RelatedI need the capability to log into the 3g/4g modem and change the Wan IP address. Doe anyone know of a 3g/4g modem that allows you to do that. My other option would be to disable the wireless radio on the 3g/4g router and connect my Linksys Wireless router that I know I can log in and change the WAN Ip. It looks like to me that this model below would allow me to do that?MBR1516 Will turning off wireless radio on the 3g/4g router completely turn off all routing or could there be a conflict with my Linksys wireless router?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a tenda w548d Version 2.0 Adsl2+ Modem router. it worked fine with its default settings and wired connection was ok when i chose DSL uplink while installing its driver from CD. But it couldn't connect wireless. There were strong signals but connected computer couldn't get access to the internet. so i tried using ethernet uplink instead of DSL uplink while reinstalling the software Since then the light of ADSL never lights, even it never blinks. now the software on the cd can connect to the router. i cannot access its settings using IP address in browser, the page wouldn't load. I am so worried. Can i revert the setting back to dsl uplink?I can connect to the internet very smoothly using my old router so you can't blame my phone line or lan wire. I have tried reset the new router many times but still the ADSL light never lights up. And the ADSL light is ok because when i turn the router on, it lights with all the others.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a CANYON Wireless N Router CNP-WF514N1A. It was working properly, but I changed its deafult password to my own . (192.168.0.1 -> wireless security -> new pass -> okay -> reboot computer ). After I restarted the computer, the router stopped working. The lights on it are fine, and if I plug the net cable into the computer I have internet too. The problem is, if I plug the cable into the router, I don't have internet. And I can't open 192.168.0.1 either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have Linkline ADSL that was set up by them with a Netopia 2241N-006 modem and a Cisco 33674 wired router. We got a Cisco E2000 wireless router to replace the wired one. It sets up perfectly, in that I can see and connect to the wireless router just fine, but it has no Internet connection. Also, when we plug the cord straight from the modem into the computer (as was suggested by someone) it has no Internet connection, so it seems we need the Netopia modem for it work.I have connected to Cisco live chat three different times to try and find out how to make this work, and each time after making me give them all the information they insisted the uninstalling/reinstalling Cisco connect and then going through set up again it would work. On the second and third chats I even gave them the reference numbers for the previous chats so theiy could see that is what was already done, to no avail. Apparently that is the only solution they know.Then I called Cisco support on the phone (twice). The first time they insisted I hang up and I repeat the same procedure from the chats, even though I explained I had now done it three times and gave them the chat reference numbers. They said if I would not do that. The second time I called they told me that was not something they supported - using their router with an adsl modem - even though their instructions do cover it.
using the two routers together since I cannot get the wireless one to work alone. I went and bought a crossover cable, hooked the two routers LAN port to LAN port, changed the router's IP address to just outside the main router's range and disabled DHCP. This did not change anything, so I tried the one other idea I found online which was to assign the router a static IP address in the same range that the rest of the network is using, hook the two routers LAN port to LAN port with the crossover cable, and disable the DHCP. This did not work either.
i have tryed starting it on the services but that willl not do it eitheir. i have tryed almost everything and it stilll does not work. i can not access internet. plus i think a virus messed up my internet protocols. i think i removed the virus though i have been looking for an answer for 7 hours now

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to connect an Xbox 360 to my University's wireless network using a bridged connection between the wireless adapter and the LAN adapter. I can connect to the internet on the Xbox, but not Xbox LIVE. I get an error message stating that my MTU setting must be 1364 or higher. I obviously cannot access the router settings because they are the schools routers and I do not have administrative privileges. So, Is there some other way to modify MTU settings without that access?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking into a way of routing users internet connection based on their username or group in a windows environment. Currently there's two ISP connections with their own proxy server. I want a user to be fully redirected to one of the ISPs based on who they are. I was hoping via IE proxy settings, this can be accomplished, but it looks like the primary ISP connection, is still getting most of the connections/routing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new 881 router and am simply trying to change the ip address from the default 10.10.10.1 to 192.168.15.1
I tried doing this both in the CCP Express app loaded on the router, and also using the desktop CCP client. I can change other parameters without any problems, but when I change the ip address of the vlan the program hangs (as expected since the ip address should be changing). I then try to open it back up and reconnect but get no response from the router.
I can ping it no problem, and the http server is running according to the serial terminal.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been having considerably slow internet compared to the other guys I live with and decided to investigate. I have run the speedtest.net on a good chunk of their computer and they all get around 40 mb/s while I am getting 2 mb/s. I have figured out that when I go in and change my MAC Address, I am able to get the same speed that they do for a short amount of time, but after a while(I haven't figured out a time interval) my speeds go back to the 2 mb/s. I can then go back in and change the address again and the same thing happens. I thought I might have a virus, but the different scan that I have tried running show nothing and when I do netstat from the command prompt, nothing abnormal shows up.

View 1 Replies View Relatedpartition the departmental IP network address block to create a staff and a student subnet. Each of these will be identified by its own network address and netmask. It is university policy that you must be economical with the IP addresses. That is, the subnets must be as small as possible, but they must be large enough to accommodate the maximum number of hosts you were given. Also, it is university policy that the respective gateway router to the outside world should always be given the highest possible host IP address in the subnet. The student subnet should have a higher IP network address than the staff subnet. The network must be able to support up to 60 machines on the staff subnet (not counting the router) and up to 120 machines on the student subnet (also not counting the router).
IP address/netmask
University network address127.158.128.0
University network mask255.255.192.0
University internet gateway IP address127.158.191.254
Department network mask255.255.254.0
Department router address127.158.129.254
Suppose that the network address of the departmental network is 127.158.128.0 (calculated by AND between Dep network mask and Dep router address)I know that 60 machines would use 6 bits for the staff subnet.the netmask of staff would be 255.255.255.192.how can I figure out the the IP network address of the staff subnet.I have worked out the range for the staff subnetwork.
127.158.128.0 - 127.158.128.63
127.158.128.1 = Gateway address
127.158.128.63 = Broadcast address
Now how can I calculate the IP network address of the staff subnet?
I recently changed my graphics card (geforce 9100 to radeon hd 7750) because i wanted to enjoy some simple gaming and my previous graphics card (geforce 9100) wasnt capable of doing so. (This is my pc : HP Pavilion p6100 Desktop PC series*-* HP Pavilion p6130y Desktop PC Product Specifications - c01748306 - HP Business Support Center ). Before changing the card i uninstalled all nvidia related drivers (both in control panel and device manager) because i heard thats what youre supposed to do.
I successfully changed my graphics card (i think...) i can run all the games that i couldnt run before but.. I am having trouble connecting to the internet after changing the card. it seems like my computer isnt recognizing the inernet network. i know the network is fine because im writing this w/ my itouch which is connected to the network wifi. When i right click the red X icon w/ two computers and click "connect to a network" , it says "windows cannot find any networks" and i have no network options to choose from. Is it because i uninstalled drivers related to the network connection..?
