Our ISP provider made our internet connection a dial up. Last time it automatically connects to internet without putting those username and password. So after they changed it only our server pc have internet. Others don't have. The technician from the isp provider keep telling that the switch(but he keeps telling us its a router dunno why) need to be configure but switches dont need to be configure right?

Before changing the card i uninstalled all nvidia related drivers (both in control panel and device manager) because i heard thats what youre supposed to do.
I successfully changed my graphics card (i think...) i can run all the games that i couldnt run before but.. I am having trouble connecting to the internet after changing the card. it seems like my computer isnt recognizing the inernet network. i know the network is fine because im writing this w/ my itouch which is connected to the network wifi. When i right click the red X icon w/ two computers and click "connect to a network" , it says "windows cannot find any networks" and i have no network options to choose from. Is it because i uninstalled drivers related to the network connection..?

This config is working fine, when dialing in via a Windows Hyperterminal Dial connection. After a while of dialing I get the login prompt of the router.Now I want to have a router placing calls instead of a Windows Server. I can't figure out how to tell a router to place calls to a POTS phone number.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use a Dimension 3000 desktop. I cannot dial in to my ISP (Juno). Each time I try, it responds "can't dial in". I checked the connection, that's ok. I checked the phone line and that's ok. A box pops up that says "system service not working go to Help & Support" When I try to go to Help & Support, a box pops up "system service not working".
This all began after I used an AVG PC Tuneup. Since then the bottom line colors changed. For example, where START was green with white letters and the windows colors symbol; it is now WHITE with Black letters only. Where bottom line across was blue, now it too is WHITE.
I can pull up WORD, Games,etc. but am unable to dial in to get to internet.
I just got a dir-655 revb, and it does not connect to the internet. I have DSL, and the old router works fine with PPPoE, when I configure my dir-655b router, it can not connect to the internet. I get the flowing error:

Why wouldn't it stay connected at 130 all the time?Someone said to try lowering the beacon interval, fragmentation threshold, RTS threshold, and mtu size, but will doing that decrease the speed of my connection to the router?

At first my computers would all connect to the router but there was no internet connection. I had to download the latest firmware and install it. After the install succeeded, everything seemed to be okay. However, I now occasionally get the message that the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. Also, the little world symbol on the router constantly flashes at a rapid rate. Before the switch, neither of these two things happened. When I check the download speed it seems fine. The cable modem is an Arris and also handles my telephone service.

And all that and was able to change the ssid and the passphrase but after doing so the Internet stopped working. We are able to connect but it says there's no service or limited connectivity so no web pages or anything loads. Now I can't get back to the router page by typing that 192.168. stuff because there's no Internet. Don't know what to do. This is my fathers ISP and it's not the greatest considering the location. I've tried unplugging the router and whatnot but that's not working either. I think we need to get back on the router page and fix something but it's not allowing us to since there's no Internet. Am I going to have to change back to a WEP.. I dont really want too. The router may need to be upgraded too because it's pretty ancient.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA router restart. I changed the wpa to wen so I could connect my ds to wifi.So far what I have done was restart the modem, it's a Cisco wag120n. This is a wireless so the moment I changed to wen, I lost connection. I then used a cable to connect to the modem and managed to change the settings in the router page 192.168.1.1 back to wpa but with no success connecting to the Internet. I then tried ressetting the modem and computer with no luck. I cut the power to the modem router and turned off computer for 5 minutes. I then turned the modem back til it was stable and then the computer, again with no luck. I then factory reset via the button manually and via the modem page but both ended up with the unable to connect to primary DNS server.

But it couldn't connect wireless. There were strong signals but connected computer couldn't get access to the internet. so i tried using ethernet uplink instead of DSL uplink while reinstalling the software Since then the light of ADSL never lights, even it never blinks. now the software on the cd can connect to the router. i cannot access its settings using IP address in browser, the page wouldn't load. I am so worried. Can i revert the setting back to dsl uplink?I can connect to the internet very smoothly using my old router so you can't blame my phone line or lan wire. After changing these NIC settings I am no longer able to connect to the internet:
checksum offload -> disabled
speed/duplex -> 100 mbps full
I tried setting it back to what it was before to no avail:
checksum offload -> Rx and Tx Enabled
Speed/Duplex -> Auto Negotiation
I'm still able to ping URLs and IPs, but cant get to any websites or even the modem page. I tried rebooting,power cycling...nothing works so far.
