i got a d-link router comming off modum and then a lynksys switch . well when i run the lorex program it (the switch) shows up as a router with a ip address ? i have tried a different swith but still the same thing happens .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am configuring a Cat 2960 port for connecting a VOIP phone, authenticated by MAB. On connecting the phone, I get the port authenticated and assigned to the correct VLAN, with LLDP-MED advertising the correct voice vlan. However, I then see no traffic from the phone on the switch. I can see the MAC address of the phone is learned in the right VLANs, but the mac address is showing as "Drop", which normally means the address is statically configured to be blocked. There is no static mac address table blocking configured on the switch.

I have a dell laptop. It will pick up and connect to the neighbors wifi. But when trying to connect to mine it will not acquire a network address. It continuously searches but says 0.0.0... it says the signal is excellent but will just not acquire the ip address. By the way, cell phones with Wifi connect to this network with no problems.

i tried disabling the diagnostic monitor for the module, did a power enable module command and then reset it but it still fails. this is the third blade that i am replacing in a few weeks and i still get the same error. i am persuded that it is not a hardware since it is the third blade in a matter of weeks. after the module reset, i receive this error % module 3 is operationally off (FRU-power failed)

The inside interface of the ASA has an IP address of 192.168.2.2 and is connected to a Linksys router's internet port which has an IP address of 192.168.2.1. The Linksys router then has a local area network of 192.168.1.0 and all my clients are on that network. Everything is working fine except in my ASA logs all the traffic shows up as the router's external address which is 192.168.2.1. I would like to see the 192.168.1.x address of the clients in the ASA firewall. I've tried making some changes to the Linksys router but that hasn't resolved it. Is there any changes I can make on the ASA to get this to work?

Server A has IP address 192.168.2.1 and Server B has IP address 192.168.3.1. I created a two new VLAN on switch, VLAN2 for 192.168.2.0 network and VLAN3 for 192.168.3.1 network. I put the command "ip routing" on the switch. My goal is to be able to ping ip address from PC 1(VLAN2) to PC 2(VLAN3) and vice versa... I'm not sure what I am missing... By the way, there is NO ROUTER involved on this set up. I tried to Google and it says HP ProCurve 2626 is a Layer 3 switch so IP routing should be possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm on a fresh boot on my laptop (full shutdown then starting back up) my wifi connects just fine....perfect.However, when I close the screen (its a laptop) and it goes into standby...when I wake it up again my wifi icon by the clock shows that its still obtaining an IP address or whatever (little yellow dot bouncing back and forth over the icon)....The icon will stay like this until the next time I reset the computer....but the entire time my wifi works as it should....its just the icon thats being weird.

Like I said...everything is working as it should..Its done this since I've done the fresh install of Windows, so it has nothing to do with any software I've installed or any of the updates.
