View 2 RepliesI recently was able to obtain my son's Nintendo 3DS from him and now I can't figure out how to get on the internet browser with it!When I open up the internet on his 3DS and when I try to access anything it says communication error even though I have a full signal. It also says that the "error code is: 012-1018 Connection to proxy server failed. Please check that your proxy server settings are correct." I have went in and tried to change the proxy server settings and if I do I lose the internet connection despite the fact that the correct information is set in place. I even tried to reset the router (as my son did before) but I can't access it, even though he was able to!! I have done research on the Nintendo web site and everything that it says to do I have done and it shows that I have a full signal but after that no luck.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have my Nintendo DS. I've been trying a lot of times connecting to CWF. I Successfully connect. But when i try to play some games, (For example Mario Kart DS) when i'm starting a race, it just says someone disconnected. Is this a Router Firewall problem? Also i saw on Nintendo Site that i have to open: Also how to change from WPA to WPE? How do i open them in router? I did in firewall, but seems to don't work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedE3000 uses WPA secutiry...Nintendo DS ONLY works with WEP security.
Can I change my E3000 to WEP? on a Nintendo support site per this issue, it says:
Routers using the Cisco Connect software default to WPA security, which is not compatible with online multiplayer with Nintendo DS Game Cards. To change your wireless security mode to WEP, you will need to use your router's web utility instead of Cisco Connect.
A) is that true
B) if so....HOW?
Bottom line, I NEED to be able to do this. If it's not possible, than I made a very bad purchase decision & will never do so again
I have this Huawei E1552 (HSDPA USB Stick) and I can't figure out how to do two things: 1. I'd like to make it share it's internet connection wirelessly to other devices. I've managed to connect my PC and PS3 with ethernet cable to get connection and I believe some have managed to do it wirelessly, but I can't figure out how to get my Nintendo 3DS to find that connection. I've tried putting wireless connection in the sharing part of the connection, but it didn't seem to work.

Strangely enough, I can use MSN and Skype, but Steam won't connect.I've tried to system restore just to the point before I installed the update, but it failed. Windows blamed it on an anti-virus program. Turned it off, and system restore still won't work. Uninstalled the new updates, but nothing has changed.

They are all connected to the network fine but one of them gets cut off from the internet sometimes and starts back up randomly. I changed to different ports on the switch same issue I didnt have the time to fully check it but Im gonna go back tomorrow my best guess is that its the wire but any other possibilities that may cause this I would like to know before I go if at all possible.
I recently had to completely gut my computer and start from scratch, reinstalling windows xp, and all hardware. I only have a basic knowledge of computers, and their inner workings. I had my modem connected to my computer via ethernet, and i enjoyed fast browsing. Since the rebuild, i can only use the usb (and it's sloooooow!). I have learnt all i know about drivers because of this issue.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently bought a new computer with a wireless card. However, the wireless signal is terrible, so I'm looking to try and get my PC plugged directly into my rooter (or by other means).
Do I have any other options of doing this, other than a wire from my rooter to my PC. Is there any other solution which enables me not have to plug into my rooter directly?? (as my rooter is in an awkward spot and has to stay there). Can I plug into an ADSL port for example? Or any other alternatives???

Occasionally, the computer will show that the internet is disconnected, however the modem will have all it's lights flashing. After attempting several times to get to connect again, I called the support number, and they told me that I would either have to the ethernet cord hooked to the computer or purchase a network adapter. BUT my computer already had a network adapter installed in it before I even bought it, so I don't feel that I need to purchase one and I was able to get it to connect to the internet wireless by myself after hanging up. My question is how to keep my computer from wanting to disconnect from the wireless internet?
