I have a Dell XPS L321X, ultrabook, which can connect to wifi except a specific office wifi, say TPR. The interesting thing is I can connect to this TPR wifi when nobody is in office, I thought it might be an IP conflict. So I tried to assign a static IP address, but it doesn't work. I have updated the wifi adapters two days ago.I tried few things like IPCONFIG /RELEASE, IPCONFIG /RENEW, but nothing works. The security type of all the wifi in my office are WPA-PSK and they all have good strength. We use sharepoint services for our daily office work, which can be accessed only using a TPR wifi. It's frustrating that I cannot connect to it.
I purchased a Ultrabook XPS L321X and the wireless connection is slower than I normally have. The adapter properties Description is "Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6230"
I also have a old Laptop XPS MI1530.
I made a test where I downloaded the Microsoft Office from the official site, from the Ultrabook XPS L321X it was downloaded with a rate speed of 60 KB/s and from my older laptop XPS MI1530 the speed was 1000 KB/s.
I have just purchased the Ultrabook XPS L321X and it is manufacture setting, however the internet speed is very slow.
I tried everything, but I did not find a possible issue why the speed is slower than my older computer.
I have my laptop. I need to use my broadband connection at my home. Also I need to use my laptop with wifi at my office. We do not have any dhcp servr at office. What I am doing now is changing ip configuration at office every day manually.
I am using a Dell XPS 12 on Windows 8 Pro and I am unable to connect to my house's wifi. However I am able to connect to my iphone's personal hotspot. is it probably my house's wireless is not compatible with Windows 8 Pro? I have searched for drivers but to no avail.
I have a small office with a Desktop PC onvereted into a File server which has licenses for couple of multi user softwares residing. Further I have about 10 Laptops and 3 Desktops. My server has two NIC's. A linksys wireless (wrt54gs) router is connected to one NIC and a Netgear WL router is connected to another NIC. I have enabled MAC Address access restriction on both the routers.5 laptops get connected to the Wifi Linksys router. And to the Negear Router 5 more laptops + a Netwrok printer with static IP and a switch (unmanaged) is conneted. 3 desktops (all with static IP) in turn get connected to this switch.Iam not able to give print from a Laptop connected to the Linksys router. However the print comes out if I give a print out from a laptop connected to the negear router. The Linksys Router assigns IP starting from 192.168.0.10 to 192.168.0.25 and the netgear assigns IP from 192.168.0.101 to 192.168.0.125. Further at times the laptops connected to the Netgear routers are not able to obtain the license for the softwares from the server (in variably Iam forced to work in Educational mode on those laptops)(I created a netwrok bridge in the server between the two NICs)But by enabling a bridge there is one more problem I notice..... When I type IPCONFIG /all on a laptop connected to the Netgear ruter (having gateway 192.168.0.100), I notice that the IP number assigned is that of the one from Linksys, and the Gateway is shown as (192.168.0.75 - the Linksys router gateway)....
I have Windows 7 on Dell N4110. I am unable to connect to my netgear router wirelessly. If i restart the router, it may work for some time but then again gets disconnected. However, i can connect to it through wired connection. Others in my apartment can connect to the router. They dont have windows 7 (they use vista, ubuntu). Its working fine for them. I have tried many things like updating the router, disabling firewall, changing wireless security settings, updating windows but none of them seem to work. My friend who has the same laptop also cant connect when I cant. It happens simultaneously. As soon as my connection is disconnected, his also disconnects.
I know the wifi in the laptop works, i know the laptop has no issues.I know this because i switched my hard drive from my 1330 to this laptop which is also a 1330...connects and works fine.Wifi IS turned on In device manager the driver is ok no exclamation marks anywhere When i try and connect with the ethernet i get identifying no network access, then it says currently connected to unidentified network, no network access! You cannot browse. So that being said it must be in the setting with windows 7.I uninstalled and reinstalled the wifi driver it did not make any difference.I also tried using a Ethernet connection and it would not connect either. When i use the win 7 trubleshooter it states a network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken.Remember this laptop functions fine with my hard drive in it with windows xp.
I just recently reinstalled Windows XP Professional onto my Dell Inspiron 6000 again. And I try to connect to my home wifi and i get a message saying "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again." I refresh the networks and it still shows the network ive been trying to connect to then i retry and same message pops up. I can connect to other networks fine but not my home wifi. My wifi router is a Netgear N600 Dual Band Router.

I have been using this router for around 8 to 9 months now. Everything was working fine till one week back. Now I am facing problem with my office emails. I cannot get my office emails while on WiFi network. Outlook is not able to connect to my office server and I don't receive my emails. Rest everything works fine. Initially i used to get all the emails while using this WiFi router. When I connect my internet cable directly to my laptop, i am able to receive all the emails in my office outlook inbox.
I am also using my Samsung Galaxy S3 on this WiFi network. And my office outlook is configured in it. I am facing the same problem with my phone as well, it started recently, around one week back, as already informed above. However, when i switch on my mobile internet, all the new emails start coming to my inbox, which means that there is some problem with WiFi network.
What I am supposed to do which will enable me to receive all the office emails while on this routers WiFi network. Its giving me a hard time.
I use a Dell 2010 laptop. I have consistently been able to use wifi. On 1 Jan I moved into a new apartment shared with a friend. My friend allows me to use the wifi by sharing the password. My friend's computer is a MacBook. But I cannot access wifi! Why is that? I am able to see the available connections and to see the one that my friend is using. But I am unable to access it. I tried manually adding the new wifi network. It shows up with "limited access" -- it does not enable use of internet.
I've got a Dell laptop with Windows 7 and I'm unable to connect to public wifi. I have a home wireless connection that I'm able to connect to, and I'm able to connect at friends houses. But when I try to connect at a local coffee shop, it doesn't work.
I have a dell inspiron 1464 and have a wifi modem. while connecting it only shows a broadband(home network) bt doesnt connect with a red cross sign over it. i tried adding a new network bt it still wont connect
I'm using a Dell Vostro, running Win Vista with all updates. I have Trend Micro Titanium and Comodo Firewall. I primarily use Firefox (completely updated) but also have IE 9. Until a few days ago I regularly connected to various public WIFIs, by: connecting to the WIFI network, opening Firefox which would then automatically take me the network's (Panera for example) user agreement page, clicking on "I accept" or "I agree" then gaining access to the internet. Two days ago I was at a local establishment where I have connected before. I connected to their network and opened Firefox as usual. Instead of connecting to their user agreement page as usual, Firefox tried to connect to my homepage (Washington Post) and failed.
The network icon in the sys tray showed I was connected to the local network but with local access only. This has now happened three times in three different public locations over the past 2 days. Each time I've successfully connect to the network but when opening Firefox or IE9 I am not directed to the user agreement page and therefore am not gaining access to the internet.Normally in the past once I had connected to the local network and opened my browser Comodo would open a warning window asking me if I wished to continue. This also is no longer happening as Comodo is not detecting me being connected to the internet, I'm sure.
I have a Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN MiniCard and have been able to connect to all hostels wifi networks until now. There isn't anything wrong with the network itself because my iPhone and a different tablet can still connect to it.The network is in the list, full signal, but it tries to connect and sticks at 'Acquiring network address' then fails. I have tried the Repair button an it says it can't repair it because it can't give me a new IP address.
I was just wondering how to connect 3 laptops to 1 printer in my office? We don’t have a server and all laptop contacted to internet wireless through a router next door. (I don’t have access to that router)I was thinking to get a hub and then connect it to the Ethernet cable back of the printer and then connect it to each laptop?
I would like to connect my three pcs together so that they can all make use of the printers, scanners, internet etc in my office space. i also need to be able to access this lot from a remote laptop so that i can continue to work from home. i would like to store all my data in one place that was easily accessible from every PC and my laptop.
they are connected by Micro-Wave , Radio , and we have two cisco 2911 routers so we like to connect this two offices
Office 1 Microwav-radio ip address == 155.155.155.1 Local Network ===== 10.10.10.x Office 2 Microwave-radio ip adddress == 155.155.155.2 Local Network 1 = 192.168.1.0 Local Network 2 = 192.168.2.0
i can configure interfaces , but i have little bit confuse for the Routing and the access list , so how office 1 can access the two local networks office 2
i am having problem adding the officejet printer that was uninstalled because it was not working. after three days of online support from HP and Lynksys, I am about to buy a new printer. Can't add printer wirelessly or wired.
I have a Any Connect setup and able to VPN into my office.i bought a ASA5505-SW-UL that is unlimited user (UL) software license but now the vendor tells me that: From the ASA you can saw the unlimited license is for inside hosts, instead VPN client's, by default, ASA 5505 included only 2 VPN client's and can supported up to 25 VPN client's, your license look only default 2 VPN client's. If need more VPN client's connect, you have to purchase the additional VPN client's license. I am just wondering his statement TRUE/FALSE, because i thought ASA5505-SW-UL means unlimited license
I have a group of five computers at one end of my home office and another group of four computers across the same room. All are hardwired on the same internal network. These cannot be consolidate or moved into one corner or closet. There just is not the space and it's just physically not possible. There is one Internet router as provided by the local cable company. I have this connected to a LinkSys WRT54G2 broadband router. A Netgear DS108 8-port hub is connected the LinkSys. All computers either connect to the Netgear hub or to the LinkSys router. As of now, the WiFi from the LinkSys router is only ever used by my cell phone while at home.
This set up is annoying. At first I did not mind, but there are cables on the floor that I have to step over. These CAT5 cables connect one set of computers to the LinkSys or Netgear. I have to watch where visitors are walking or stepping to assure they don't trip. How can I keep these computers on the same network and eliminate just those cables crossing the floor of my home office?Should I use WiFi NICs? Would this overwhelm the WiFi on the LinkSys?
I have got two 1841 and one 881 cisco router. I can keep any one of this router at HO and remaining at branch office. I have got a static internet IP at HO but dynamic IP at branch office. I want to setup a VPN to connect to HO from branch office through router. The branch connects through a private IP for internet purpose. Which VPN is the most secure and best for this purpose.
I have been told to connect our branch offices over outdoor point-to-point wireless CPE. The wireless brand is Orthogon. The Main office got cisco 4507 L3 switch where all building switches terminate. DHCP,DNS and all application are hosted in main office. The branch office got ONE 24 port POE Switch cisco 2960 where all users will be connected, On Port 0/24 of 2960 switch at branch will terminate the outdoor Wireless and other end will be terminated on 4/15 of 4507 at main office? what command I need at both interface where Wireless is terminated.when we connect floor switches to 4507 we got these commands on access switches
I want to connect to the Internet small office where docsis (internet over tv cable) is used as WAN.For similar tasks but other WANs (adsl, dial-up) I used 800 series. But now I can't find anything in this series to solve my issue. There is 815 but it has no wi-fi.
I can use cable modem that my ISP gave to me: this modem acts as bridge so I can use router with FE-based WAN but it is better to have one device instead of two.
I have been suffering with WiFi problem since last week, I am not able to connect to WiFi but all connections are visible. I called up my ISP guy to replace the modem but still I was not able to connect to. Yesterday I called up dell (my system is under complete cover), they have tried several things and I was sitting next to my internet modem It got connected. Then to be ensured I restarted the system and my laptop got connected to WiFi. When I moved bit far away from WiFi again the same issue I am not able to connect to.
I have a dell inspiron 1420 and my internet is not working at all. it is picking up the wireless router at my home and i have full bars but when i go on to the internet explorer or google chrome it saying "cannot load page check connection". It was working fine yesterday but it started today.
I have a dell N5010 and just reprogrammed my pc with Windows 7 Ultimate but I can't get the Wifi drivers installed. I have downloaded the drivers from the site but it still doesn't work.
