Apr 2, 2012I am using a Sony Vaio with the following Configurations Win 7 Professional 64 Bit SP 1 The Wireless adapter is Intel Centrino N 6230 with the drivers updated The LAN adapter is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
This laptop is pretty new and I had been experiencing some problems with Wifi and LAN connectivity to internet.
Initially there was a yellow mark over network icon but it allowed me to access Internet. I was not bothered then..Offlate this has turned ugly. The yellow icon would not allow me to connect to internet through wifi or LAN
Sometimes LAN would connect but now a days connecting to wifi has become a real task with most of the time having to trouble shoot the connection.
Troubleshooting gives me different suggestions which are as follows
a) DHCP not enabled over wireless networks....Trying to repair the same does not work
b) Your computer seems to have been configured properly.
c) Troubleshooting cannot solve the problem
I cannot connect to wifi in office and home. I had mcafee before but removed it completely using mcafee removal tool..

Jan 15, 2012i'm using win7 and linux mint in my laptop. when i'm on linux i 'm able to connect in a specific ssid with my b43 driver. when i switch back to windows(broadcom a/b/g) i can not connect to this ssid-there is a yellow mark with limited connection. what do you think? is this a driver problem with win7. or win 7 driver has ''less power'' than linux's?

May 16, 2012I have windows xp with asus motherboard p5kpl-am se. my issue is that I cannot get on the net. I know there is internet connection, but the computor won't recognise that fact. when I go to repair the internet connection, I get a message ( windows cannot detect any wired or wireless cards on your machine) things I have done is to download drivers for the ethernet card and also the motherboard chipset to see if that would work, but no change. the yellow question mark is still there.

Feb 3, 2013my router is sitecom gigabit 300N. since the past week there is this yellow exclamation mark on the connection in the task bar, near the clock. if I pass the mouse over it, it says no internet connection, eventhough I'm connected to the internet and I'm writing this right now, this is on desktop pc and connected to router by cable. the same thing on my laptop that is connected through WiFi, the signal strenght is normal, but there is the same exclamation mark. I'm pretty sure its the router not the PC because this happens on two different machines with the same router. I tried turning the router off and left it that way for about 7 minutes but that didnt work. is there something in settings I should do? or throw it away and buy Linksys/D-link router?

Sep 2, 2012My internet at completely random of times drops and can take anywhere from 2 minutes to reconnect or 20. This may happen once a day, this may happen 10+ times a day. Totally different all the time. Basically what happens is it I get the yellow triangle on my taskbar where the connection should be saying limited connectivity, sometimes I get a complete red X going through it saying there is no connection. It always reconnects at some point though.

Jul 2, 2012I recently moved and changed computers, but ive been trying to setup my Linksys WRT150N. I had one cable coming from the modem and into the port on the router labeled "internet" and then another cable coming from one of the router's ethernet ports, going into the PC.
I opened a browser and typed in 192.168.1.1 into the address bar and got to the setup page. When I search for wifi using either my laptop or my droid, it shows that there is an excellent signal and will connect to it, but when I try to perform a task that would require internet, it says that there is no internet access.

Mar 2, 2013I have the M2N32-SLI Deluxe/Wireless Edition motherboard with onboard wireless. I built this computer myself. I did a fresh install of Windows 7. I installed the wireless drivers from the asus website by putting them onto a flash drive from my laptop and installing them on my desktop.On my wireless signal, I get the yellow triangle with a ! in the middle. Nothing else has been installed. I am at a loss of what to do to get rid of this and just get my wireless to work. We have 3 other laptops and one other desktop that work fine with no issues, but this one desktop seems to have problems.

Once I reset all of my static IP settings in the dlink admin tool the wireless laptops work fine. The problem now is that I can't connect to the internet on the computer that is hard wired into the router. It is heating up quickly and I'm seeing ads in text in websites that don't do that (cbc, reddit, wikipedia).I had this issue a couple of months ago but Spybot seemed to fix the issue.Recently I noticed my computer was heating faster (and hotter) than usual so I ran a search and it said no threats were found. Not too longer after I start noticing the ads again so I know there is a problem. I have ran the search twice since then and still nothing. I was advised to use ccleaner,malwarebytes, and Super Anti-Spyware. It removed one other threat but the problem was still there. I then started using combofix, but I did not like the look of it so I stopped that scan. It seemed a little sketchy.
My old laptop (the one I'm on now) and my girlfriend's laptop work fine. I connected it with the Ethernet cord and that didn't change anything.I have Windows 7. It's on a 2010 Samsung (I'm not very tech savvy so I'm not sure about all the other details). I primarily used Firefox, but I just switched to Googlechrome this week (well after the problems began).

But if one laptop is connected to the internet, then the other cannot. I have to disconnect the first laptop then reconnect with the second.
I have had this scenario working in the past and can't remember what I have to do to enable both laptops to use the internet connection at the same time.
