May 16, 2011When I create a service object or group and add the object to a new rule it never works.I mean the traffic match not the rule. Cisco Application :: ACE 20 Service-policy Out Of Service / Still Able To Connect To VIP
Feb 28, 2012We have a situation where services are stopped on the real servers. The probes fail and we confirm the services are not running on the server. We cannot access the ports from the ACE directly. We can still however acces the VIP on the TCP port (L4 VIP class-map). So we can still telnet to the VIP on the port from thr Client side of the network.This is on ACE 20 Modules deployed in Routed mode. The version of software is A2(3.3).
Tried removing multi-match and loadbalance policies as well as class-map and re-applying then re-appyling the service policy to interface. Same behavior,This is a problem at another level as some services are being monitored by GSS via TCP keep-Alive and this obviuosly causes a problem as the service then never goes off-line.

Aug 9, 2012I have an E3000 router, 2 computers connected via wires, and a PS3, airport express, laptop, and a few other devices which connect wirelessly. I've been having intermittent difficulties with specific services disappearing within my network. From time to time, some of the services which run across the network stop working; The Airport disappears (cannot contact it via airport utility or see it as an airplay destination), and the Playstation stops being able to contact media server running on wired computer. When this occurrs, all devices are still able to connect to the internet, and I am even able to copy files between a hard wired computer and laptop via CIFS (windows file sharing) protocol. Power cycling the E3000 solves this; the airport reappears, the PS3 can once again see the media server running on the PC, etc.

In the router administration, I can configure three static DNS IP's. However, I don't see any place in the configuration to turn off the automatic DNS configuration from my ISP. So, when I issue an IPCONFIG /ALL on my computer, the DNS listing shows two DNS Name Services from my ISP ahead of the three static DNS IP's that I configured.

Sep 23, 2012I purchased and set-up the EA4500 on Thursday. Friday my ISP (Charter) was out and worked on connection for over 2 hours due to slowness issues. Connected directly to modem I get normal ping times on whichever computer is connected. When I get the computer connected by the router (hard wired) I get very long ping responses up to 900ms. They are all over the place 30ms (I can live with that), up to the 900's. I contacted Linksys support last night, who had me update to the cloud firmware and change MT U to 1300, have not noticed a difference. I did end up doing a hard reset on the router last night after I lost tech support. We were disconnected with router rebooted, and I didn't have the patience to connect again last night.
It was so slow on my work computer, a pint to yahoo timed out. The computers connecting to router are

I can connect other computers wirelessly to the router. I cannot connect any laptops WIRED to the router. Nothing has changed on the systems to restrict internet access. There is something wrong with the router and the WIRED ports. I tried going through the troubleshooting on this site but it was of little to no assistance. The Cisco Connect utility doesn't appear to accomplish anything either. My guess is because I cannot connect to the WIRED ports on the router to connect to the internet to allow for whatever troubleshooting that needs to be done.

I therefore need to daisy-chain two routers with the second one DHCP on (and manual IP connection to the main network). Apr 11, 2012I have a WAP54G in my basement shop, wired to our main router upstairs, which is a Linksys BEFSR81. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the WAP or the router.
I only use the laptop computer in the shop every couple of days, but I leave the laptop plugged in and on most of the time. I used to have the power settings such that it didn't power down completely even after a long time. With that setup, if i didn't use the computer for several days, it would find that the connection to the router had died. The wireless link would report that it had a solid connection, but I couldn't connect to anything. Power cycling the WAP always fixed this.
Recently, I decided to save some wear & tear on the laptop drive, and adjusted the power settings to go to standby after a couple of hours. Now, it seems I can't even go one day without losing my connection.
I am running the latest frimware in the WAP, and the router is version 3.1. I can't check the firmware version on the router at the moment, because the web interface is giving me a blank screen. I know from past experience that I will have to power cycle it to get it to talk to me again.
In any event, it seems like the router connection to the WAP is timing out. I set the router "client lease time" up to 10000 a while back when I first had this problem, but that is clearly not doing the trick.

Before I go and buy a switch it was suggested that I use an old wireless router I had in storage. So I dug out my D-link (WBR-2310) router and simply plugged it in.
I now have the second router connected directly to my wall outlet which in turn is connected to the wireless router in my utility room which is connected to the cable modem. I am not using the WAN input on the second router but instead am using port 1. Port 2 goes to my PC and port 3 goes to my printer.
Everything seems to work fine...... Except, sometimes some of my wireless connections (laptop, iphone etc...) seem to have connection problems.
Is this because of the second wireless router on my system? If so, how can I disable the wireless function of this second router?

Wired And Wireless Connect To Router But Not Internet
Sep 8, 2012A week ago, my desktop (with Windows 7) stopped connecting to the internet over it's wireless connection. It would connect to the router and obtain an IP address, but couldn't connect to the internet. All other devices in my home can connect just fine. Through the course of trouble shooting I found out that I can't connect to the internet with my desktop using a wired connection either. Also, I'm using ATT, so the modem and router are 1 unit.
Here's what I have tried:
Reinstalling the drivers.Resetting the wireless router to factory settings.Changing the security settings on the router.Running netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log ;netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log; netsh winsock reset catalog and restarting TCP/IP v4 and v6 are set to get automatically Made sure MAC address wasn't being blocked on router. I tried disabling ipv6 I can ping myself (@ 127.0.0.1) and no packets are lost. I tried pinging my ip address from the router, and nothing got through. This was true using wired or wireless. I tried connecting to the routers configuration page (using its IP address) and I couldn't. Did a virus scan and nothing turned up.
