View 1 Replies View RelatedI have one POTS line and a SIP account with Skype. I want to configure my SPA3102 to take all incoming POTS calls (so I don't have to change my phone number or use up my bandwidth all the time). I want all local calls (303 and 720 area code) and possibly 911 (if possible) to go out the POTS line, but all long distance to go to SIP account on SKYPE. Pretty simple, but I can't find a wizard or samples in the documentation or firmware for the SPA3102.

How can i turn off/on the wireless in Linksys E3000.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently switched my router from an older Linksys WRT 54GS to an E3000. The WRT 54GS was working perfectly fine, but I needed to upgrade to a 802.11n router to use with some of my devices at home. I unplugged all the cables from the WRT54GS, and connected all the cables into the E3000 - in the exact same sockets and order they were on the old router. When powering on, all the lights eventually turned on (Power, Internet and Ports 1 to 4), except the wifi is still off. I tried running the installation CD, but it says it cannot find the network. I tried a reset (back button) as well as 30-30-30 reset, but no matter what I do, the wifi indicator still doesn't turn on. When switching back to the old router, it has no problem broadcasting a wifi signal again. Is there anything else I should try, either on my PC settings or the E3000 router itself?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having trouble with my wrt54gs2 and 4 360's. I tried a link someone posted for me to a cisco tutorial, it worked, but only for one 360. I have a Netgear wndr3400, I HATE the wireless on that router. Its unreliable but I like the features, the guest network and transfer meter, plus its worked with 4 360's out of the box. So would it be possible to turn off my wifi on the Netgear and plug the wrt54gs2 in and use its wireless?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe problem is: My Vista laptop cannot find the Wi-Fi hotspot I just create, although it appears on my XP desktop. If I used the included software to make my adapter as a Router, my Vista laptop can find the network and can connect to it. The problem is the internet connection always shows 'Identifying IP address' and later on it shows 'Unidentified IP address'.I also tried to hook up my laptop with the wire connection and using Vista to do the vice versa. (I did this before once when my friends and I went to Vegas and we were able to turn my laptop into a wi-fi hotspot through the hotel's wire internet). I'm able to setup a wi-fi network but:
+ Using the Wireless Connections of Windows XP, my desktop cannot find the hotspot.
+ Using the included software with the adapter, I can connect to the wifi network, but it's unable to go to Internet.
I've got wireless internet which I access on two laptops and an ipod touch.Recently, on the ipod touch I have been able to browse for a while then the internet stops loading pages. It shows I am still connected but I have to turn off the WIFI and then turn it back on again and reconnect and everything is ok for a while. Now it is starting to happen on one of the Windows XP Home laptops.I browse for a while, then pages stop loading. I am still connected. If I turn the WIFI adapter on the laptop off then on again and reconnect I can surf for a while. During the period I cannot surf on the laptop I can on the ipod so there is a live connection beyond the router.

(Without buying a wireless router/modem/card) I mean, is there a tweak or program I can download to configure my desktop running on Windows 7 to create wi-fi? The reason why I'm interested in this it's because, for Bluetooth, it's possible. Just wondering if they have the same nature with WiFi (In terms of configuration and tweaks)^,

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyway, a neighbour is letting us share their broadband by way of a wifi connection (on a very long USB lead into the front garden...) but this only works on one PC.The PC is right next to the Orange router (Brightbox) but so far I've failed to do anything like bridge the connections from wifi to ethernet to the router and beyond. Should I persevere with this? I don't understand how this would work in terms of DHCP and routing IP traffic.I'm prepared to buy new kit if necessary (but not much). Most of my equipment is wifi enabled but due to the signal strength of my neighbour's wifi you have to be on the front lawn to get a signal.

View 5 Replies View Relatedam having speed issues on the wireless side of my WRT54GL v1.1 router. When I hook up a laptop to the wired port, am getting roughly 5.4mps down when wired, but only 1.2mpbs down on wireless. I am tried doing a factory restore. I have made sure that no QoS is in place. I have tried multiple devices to make sure it is not something on the device side causing this problem, but all the devices perform just as poorly on wireless but as well on wired.
